Sylar is far too young to be Claire's father. Not even a remote possibility IMO.Since the TV Guide interview seems to indicate that Linderman is not the father, I guess that leaves Nathan. The character dying could be just about anyone besides: Claire, Hiro, Peter. They're the only ones that I couldn't see leaving the show.
I'm really going to be disappointed if Claire's father is Nathan. Hopefully they were just trying to mislead us in the interview.
no clue who claire's father is, but it will NOT be Nathanno facts to back it up, but that just seems like the easy way out, and they are more into surprises
???The easy way out is to make Lindehman her father - that is the clear implication from everything going on. HRG Has had no interaction with the Lindehman character and HRG def. knows who Claire's parents are. HRG tried to capture Nathan in episode 1.IMO, it'll be Lindehman.
If you read the T.V. Guide info there are two parts that seem to show no to this:We will see Claire find her father in Feb.Linderman won't be seen until after Feb.Could be a :hey: look over here, but if we can take the interview at face value it will NOT be linderman.
Ya'll are reading too much into this. The interview said they will reveal who the dad is in Feb, not show him and not have Claire find him. It could easily be that they have the mother call and say "Hey Linderman, guess what? Your daughter is still alive." and never show him.
True.. Especially when you throw in the fact she'll be traveling to see him then yes.. Feb. they reveal her father is Linderman, but we won't actually see who is playing Linderman until after Feb.Makes sense and would tie up a lot of things

The mysterious, unseen mobster Linderman is growing in importance. Hiro and Ando are headed to Las Vegas to find him, and we know he has connections to Niki, D.L., Simone and Nathan. Will we see him soon? He will continue to grow as a force and be revealed after February. The casting on this one is tricky. We've already built such a huge aura around Linderman that we don't want to disappoint, yet it could be cheesy to suddenly see a big-name star in the role. This isn't that kind of show.
Dang. Had hopes for a few semi-stars to show up in that role. Somebody like John Glover.

Well I had some extra time on my hand so I decided to read all of the graphic novels from the Heroes website.

Graphic Novels

I have done a write up on each one and it can be found in the spoiler box. If you don’t want to know, then don’t read it. I have not read the most recent novel, Part 2 of Chapter 17. For the most spoiler info start reading at chapter 13 (About the new Hero) Enjoy, there is some good stuff here.

mytagid = Math.floor( Math.random() * 100 );document.write("

Chapter 1 was about Mohinder and his father. His father was not religious and believed in genetics and the fact that people out there were special with special powers. Two things of significance in this chapter. One was that the taxi that Dr. Suresh drove was really messed up. It looked like it got torn in two. The other thing that I thought was important was that Mohinder said that Sylar was patient zero according to Dr. Surresh

Chapter 2 was about Hiro. His grandfather survived the bombing of Hiroshima and fought off cancer. He also gave Hiro a copy of Action Comics #1 (which was the first Superman comic). Hiro took that to mean that his grandfather wanted him to be a hero. He realizes this after he teleports into the future and sees NY explode.

Chapter 3 was about Nathan. This one was interesting because it shows Nathan using his power to save a girl from a burning building. He winds up flying into the building and then getting out without anyone but the girl seeing him. She calls him her angel.

Chapter 4 was about Claire and happened just as she was crashing her car into the wall with the molester in it. She is trying to figure out what happened to her. She saved the kid when the car blew up and realizes this is the 2nd time walking through fire in a week

Chapter 5 was about DL. He gets arrested for stealing the 2 million dollars and killing his crew after (which we know doesn’t happen because of the next chapter). He is being interrogated and he slips out of his handcuffs. That was the first time he ever used his power. He then tries to break out of prison and the thing that ignites his power again is the thought of his family and his love for the,

Chapter 6 was about Nikki/Jessica. It shows how she was the mastermind behind stealing Lindermans money. She was supposed to crack the safe but just ripped it off instead with her strength. The crew seemed to turn on her and she killed them and kept the money. Gave it to some guy to launder the money.

Chapter 7 was about Parkman. Probably the worst chapter Ive read. It shows him chasing a thief in a cop car. He can read what the guy is thinking and finally rams the car and arrests him. Not very good

Chapter 8 was a good one. It shows Isaac remembering the first time he knew he could paint the future. He is at a painting show for his paintings and this girl comes in and gets upset at him for painting her being hit by a bus. She storms out and he runs after her trying to tell her he has never even seen her before. And, you guessed it, she gets hit by a bus.

Chapter 9 was about Eden and was a very good one. Eden’s dad abandoned her when she was very young. She was left to live with her step mom who basically forced her to do the chores (very Cinderella like). As she grew, she continued to do the chores until one day she snapped. She told her step mom that she wished she was dead and the moms heart stopped. That’s when she knew she had powers to get people to do what she wants.

Chapter 10 was about Audrey Hanson (FBI Agent with Parkman). She is investigating Sylar and he is hanging in the back row of a crime scene. She sees him and starts chasing after him. He eludes her for a second and gives his coat and hat to an older guy (seemed homeless) and Audrey shoots the old guy thinking he was Sylar.

Chapter 11 was about Mr. Bennett aka HRG. He approaches Eden’s dad to tell him that she is dead. It shows Sylar attacking her, her killing herself and then guards hitting sylar with stun darts. The dad was like, who cares she was a whore and HRG gives him a beat down. He tells the Haitian to erase everything except the guilt.

Chapter 12 was one of the more interesting ones and might have led to some of the posters opinions on Peter. It shows him looking at a criminal that can fly with the aid of a jet pack (think Iron Man). Then he realizes that he can fly also and goes off chasing him. They fight and finally Peter knocks the guys mask off and realizes that he is looking at himself. He is confused because he thinks that he is a Hero not a villain. The he wakes up in the hospital.

Chapter 13-16. This is a 4 part series about a new hero yet to be on the show named Hana Gitelman. She is an Israeli operative. Her grandmother was a holocaust survivor and a rebel during WW2. Her mother was a fighter pilot during the 6 day war so she had a lot to live up to. All three ladies are on a bus that has a suicide bomber on it. Hana is the only survivor of the three and misses the funerals because she was in the hospital. She grows up to be in the Israeli army but they will not let her advance in the high ranks. Horn Rimmed Glasses comes to Israel to get her. He tells her he is CIA and that he wants to train her. They train her and realize that her special power is the ability to read electronic communication (emails, text messages etc). They send her to Africa to try to stop a doctor from selling a bacteria. She says that HRG wants to have it for himself. She gets captured and none of her story is making sense to the cops because she is not a CIA operative and HRG is not a CIA agent. She gets away from the cops and moves to Montana under a new name. She has vowed to get revenge on HRG because he manipulated her and she can see through her reading of emails that he is doing it to others. The last scene has her leaving to gain vengeance.

Chapter 17 was the best in explaining certain things up to this point. It is about Ted Sprague (Radiation Man). It says how he killed his wife without realizing his power. Then Hana Giltelman comes to see him and they both have the scars on their necks. She says that they were injected with some kind of serum so that HRGs knows where they are. It seems like every time HRGs gets done with a hero they have a scar on their neck and have been injected with this serum. It ends with the army closing in on Sprague. *** SPOILER ALERT!

Ok I have not caught up on any posts here but my random .02.

I think Claire's father is either

the invisible guy or the Haitian.

No real reasoning than I don't think it will be an obvious character and the Haitian made it very clear the mother died/ doesn't know about the father and this will be the last time they talk about it.

The invisible guy because of the way he just seems burdened and talked about others with powers.

Very far reaches I know but I'm shooting from the hip

I tossed that idea around a little.....but then for obvious reasons discarded it.
Agree it doesn't make "sense" but hey trying to go off the path here.

For the most spoiler info start reading at chapter 13 (About the new Hero) Enjoy, there is some good stuff here.

mytagid = Math.floor( Math.random() * 100 );document.write("

Here is an update on Chapter 17, Part 2mytagid = Math.floor( Math.random() * 100 );document.write("

Chapter 17 Part 2 continues the story of Ted Sprague. In the end of the last chapter there are men that have surrounded Sprague. They pour liquid concrete on him and say that is how the Russians contained Chernobyl. He is able to get out of the concrete and kills most of the men doing it. He then remembers what Hannah told him about the scars on their neck. He traced the gun they used to a factory in Montana. He finds out that the factory makes the guns to put an isotope into wild animals so that they are traceable. He thinks the people that have injected them consider them to be wild animals that need to be traced. He wants revenge and blows the factory up.

Invisible guy never dresses that well.Haitian guy is just ridiculous, she definitely doesn't have any Haitian blood in those veins.

Mohinder was tempted with a sweet deal back home too. Originally I thought his dad was just his dad that wanted him to go home, but now it seems like he is more involved.

If u go to nbc.com that primatech paper site is a legit spinoff of the show. If you explore it you find this Seems like theyre trying to do a Lost kinda thing.

If u read the online comics theres a character called Wireless who apparently can hear the internet or sense or something....my guess the creators are going to use her character to "hack" into Primatechs hidden site and reveal things to us.

nathan = the dadthey got me, but i like it
Got me too. Personally, I don't like it. I guess it could have been a fling before marriage, but if he has been married that long then I don't like it all. Seemed to me that his marriage started having issues recently with the car crash.Anyway, I just think it is kind of a stretch to say the least. Seems a little hokey to try and tie everyone together too nicely. But, now that it is out, do you think HRG knows that Nathan is Claire's dad? I don't think we have seen any indication that HRG knew that when they were overlooking him and Nikki/Jessica and when he flew away from them.Other than that and the Hiro/dad scenes (which didn't really amount to anything), a great episode. Also, next week's preview showed Mohinder working with Sylar. Am I wrong in thinking that that seems crazy? Wasn't it Mohinder that saw the state of his apartment and heard the menacing recording? Maybe Sylar represents himself to be someone else or Mohinder is tricking him, but Sylar doesn't seem to be shy with his name.

Remember that Sylar isn't his real name. He may have contacted Mohinder using his real name, which would be up on the map.

How many people noticed Hiro's father's Limo's License Plate?

NCC1701 :X Very cute

Also does Parkman bite the bullet? Someone is supposed to get killed off during sweeps.
In the last two episodes both Skylar and Peter died.Did anyone surmise how Skylar came back to life? I haven't been reading up on Hero's the last few weeks.
That is something that doesn't make sense right now, except for the desire to make Sylar a tougher bad guy. He's now been shot twice, and recovered. But if he can recover from being shot, WHY DOES HE WANT CLAIRE'S POWER? He already has it

Peter = Sylar

They are the Yin & Yang of the powers. Sylar "gains" powers through artificial means while Peter "gains" them in a more natural process. The downside to Peter is that he cannot control them yet without some problems... blowing up. Sylar can control his as they appear to be more hardwired once he "gains" them. Sylar has to have some kind of off switch that will turn him into a mortal again. Maybe that is what HRG is looking for... the off switch of the Heroes powers.

I see Niki getting killed. Her story line isn't really going in the same direction as the rest of the Heros.
I agree with you about the story line but we need to understand what the power is and who has it. I dont think Nikki has any powers. Its Jessica that has the power. I also dont think she is bi polar, I think something happened when Jessica died and somehow she became part of Nikki. Maybe that is Nikkis power. Who Knows. Jessica's power is obviously super strength. It will be interesting to see where it goes. I dont think they kill of the hot girl on the show. Wouldnt be great for ratings unless the Israeli is hot
what if in an internal struggle either either Niki or Jessica bite itthen the other has sole control of the body, while a "regular" on the show is no longer
Nice call on this, now that Nikki is trapped in mirror land

I dont think he does - I dont think he has ever had a clean shot - either by chance or his ability to somewhat slow/deflect the bullet. The last time he was recovering quite a while.

RE: #C3002

FBI Agent Audrey Hanson and LAPD officer Matt Parkman (see C3002 file) investigated the death of Robert Fresco, Karen Sprague’s oncologist, as a possible “Sylar” victim. Their investigation instead led them to Sprague, who admitted to accidentally killing Fresco with his radiological ability.
Looks like #2 is about Matt Parkman...
