As much as I would have loved to have pegged Nathan as the father, I was expecting it to be Linderman. The unknown parent angle was too easy to pass over, and there was no prominent women who could be the mother. But there were several male characters who could be, and mysterious Lindeman would have been the easiest to write in there as the Father.
