Could be explained in one of two ways I think.- Peter doesnt get a scar. Future hiro was talking about future Peter, who presumably hadnt met claire yet. Hiro goes back in time to tell him to save the cheerleader.or- peter doesnt focus his ability to remove the scar. Perhaps choosing to leave it as a reminder of the danger?

A few thoughts on Linderman...

Could he be kind of immortal - living through many ages gaining all his knowledge and power. With all the other powers going around - this wouldnt be that much of a stretch.

Or perhaps he has the ability to suck knowledge out of those around him or objects (all the artifacts he collects). Kinda like mind reading, but doesnt have to be a thought the person is having, just knowledge in their head. Would explain his wealth and everything that he seems to know.

or could Linderman be peter from the future coming back to ensure everything occurs as it should. It seemed he had a fading scar over his eye.

It wasn't in the previews, it was the ending of the actual episode where Sylar was starting to "cut" Peter's head open. That was right when it ended.

It is hard to grasp - but it does make sense. The same way present Hiro hadnt met Charlie until the diner and didnt appear in the photo, but then after he went back in time he appeared in the photo and therefore had met her and changed the past. He couldnt save her, but still changed the past.

Pretty sure this is the event that leaves THE scar. The lock of hair falling, coupled with early interviews with the actor who plays Peter saying that he hated the hairstyle they had given him but that would change at some point would seem to indicate this is the event.

I agree, the hair was mentioned when I think he and Hiro were on the Today show.Also, for those that think he had a scar, but doesn't have it later because he saved the cheerleader, how would he have been able to come close to defeating Sylar if he hadn't saved the cheerleader. If Peter doesn't get all entangled with Claire, then Matt, etc., then chances are, he doesn't end up tussling with Sylar and getting the head wound.Anyway, love the show as much as Lost, but I don't think that the puzzle pieces in this show will be put together quite as well as Lost. I'm with Scupper on this one. I watch Heroes because it's my favorite TV show at the moment, and the writing has been very good thus far.I continue to watch Lost, because I've simply invested too much time at this point to bail out. But there are plot lines that have been left dangling since season one with no signs of ever resolving themselves. I often get the sense that Lost isn't really going anywhere . It seems the writers have contented themselves with answering some small details while piling up and layering even more mysteries on top of the existing ones to try to keep the viewer guessing, but they are chasing their audience away. You may be right, but I absolutely despise writers "making it up as they go along", so I do hope you're wrong about Lost...

It usually leads to some pretty serious plot inconsistencies. I haven't watched 24 since Season One where Jack Bauer is ordered by the Baddies to kill his sidekick Nina in one of the early episodes while the baddies sit and watch him 'pump her full of lead' - only to find out in the last two episodes that Nina, who is the second in command at CTU, Jack's former lover, and has been Jack's biggest ally, is actually the #2 baddie. At some point the writers decided that it would be one heck of a twist that the viewers wouldn't see coming and decided on this course of action for it's 'gotcha', or 'shock' value. I'm still about it, and because of this have refused to watch one of the most popular shows on TV.

If you've ever watched Seven's real-time drama 24, with all its improbable plot twists and internal inconsistencies, you might have wondered if the writers were making it up as they went along. Well, it turns out they were.

In a recent interview with The New York Times before the launch of the fourth season in America, co-creator Robert Cochran admitted that the furthest his writers ever planned ahead was six episodes, and that was during season one. That number steadily declined to the point where, for the fourth series, the writers didn't know what they were going to do from one week to the next.

When I first read this it really made sense. After all, if Peter doesn't get the message from Hiro and never makes it to Texas, then Clair is most likely dead to Sylar. However, after thinking about it I realized that Peter would still have the healing power. If Sylar gained that power, then Peter would have just gained it at the scene we are all left hanging at anyway and been able to heal.

Malcolm McDowell starred as Alex de Large in the film A Clockwork Orange more than 35 years ago (his finest role, IMO). Prior to that, he portrayed the restless student Mick Travis in the underrated British film If....

You might also remember him battling Roy Scheider in the movie Blue Thunder, or commanding Mark Hamill in the videogame Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger in the 80s.

He's done a ton of movie, television, videogame and voice-over work over the past 40+ years. Instantly recognizeable. Iconic.

I think its pretty obvious he would have had a scar until Hiro told him to Save the Cheerleader, Save the World. Hence now he will not have a scar. Duh

not necessarily - saving the cheerleader was not necessarily the path to avoiding the scar.He could save the cheerleader, save the world, and STILL get the scar Hiro was talking about - f'in' with timelines messes up tons of stuff.

Save the Cheerleader, save the world...Maybe this means if Peter didnt save Claire he wouldnt have absorbed her healing powers and would have been killed by Sylar in this episode (or at least became scarred by Sylar). Now that he has healing powers he can save the world (from what, we dont know yet).

Yeah - I speculated on that a while back, and still think it is true.

But if Clair isn't saved, then Sylar has her power. And if Peter is in proximity with Sylar, then he gains that power there.

But he did.And he does.So, this is a circular debate.ETA - I don't doubt that it is actually Claire that needed to be saved and that Peter absorbing her powers means nothing to the "save the world" storyline.ETA II - and, Hiro may have needed Peter to absorb some OTHER power of Sylar's - or to have simply met Sylar - or a thousand things.

This is what I'm thinking. Claire seems to be pretty integral to whatever is going to happen.Edit to add: What I was saying isn't circular. All I'm saying is that the scar shouldn't come from Sylar opening his dome since under both scenarios Peter would have the power to heal.
