I don't think he needs the sword based on his stuffing the bullet back in the gun. It is just a crutch. But he does seem to be stronger now.Since no one has mentioned it yet....I thought it was pretty nifty that Hiro was able to teleport with Ando. And for the record: Claire> Ali > Missy
Could be explained in one of two ways I think.- Peter doesnt get a scar. Future hiro was talking about future Peter, who presumably hadnt met claire yet. Hiro goes back in time to tell him to save the cheerleader.or- peter doesnt focus his ability to remove the scar. Perhaps choosing to leave it as a reminder of the danger? What I don't understand is if Peter has regeneration abilities, why would he have a scar???

It wasn't in the previews, it was the ending of the actual episode where Sylar was starting to "cut" Peter's head open. That was right when it ended. In the preview they show Syler cutting into his forehead to open his dome. Not sure if this has been noted already, but didn't future Hiro say something to the effect of "You look different without your scar" to Peter on the train at the start of the season? Is it assumed that he gets his scar in this fight with Sylar?
Oooooh, that would be cool.Gamblor said:Or perhaps he has the ability to suck knowledge out of those around him or objects (all the artifacts he collects). Kinda like mind reading, but doesnt have to be a thought the person is having, just knowledge in their head. Would explain his wealth and everything that he seems to know.
I figure the scar would have to be pretty disfiguring, and not just some straight line across his forehead. So the scar may come from the bomb in NY. ???Dreamer said:In the preview they show Syler cutting into his forehead to open his dome.mcintyre1 said:Not sure if this has been noted already, but didn't future Hiro say something to the effect of "You look different without your scar" to Peter on the train at the start of the season? Well we know that Peter can heal right? Just like Claire. Claire doesn't have any scars. How does Peter get a scar? If he can survive a fall off a 30 story building and heal himself I would think there would be no scar.Dreamer said:In the preview they show Syler cutting into his forehead to open his dome.mcintyre1 said:Not sure if this has been noted already, but didn't future Hiro say something to the effect of "You look different without your scar" to Peter on the train at the start of the season? And yet when Hiro and Ando went to the future, the bomb had exploded. And when he went back in the past, he couldn't prevent the waitresses death. Duh.I think it will be something simple, like he gets knocked out, or that this isn't the scar he refers to.I think its pretty obvious he would have had a scar until Hiro told him to Save the Cheerleader, Save the World. Hence now he will not have a scar. Duh

It is hard to grasp - but it does make sense. The same way present Hiro hadnt met Charlie until the diner and didnt appear in the photo, but then after he went back in time he appeared in the photo and therefore had met her and changed the past. So are we still in Season 1? This is gonna be one hell of a DVD boxed set when it comes out.

Pretty sure this is the event that leaves THE scar. The lock of hair falling, coupled with early interviews with the actor who plays Peter saying that he hated the hairstyle they had given him but that would change at some point would seem to indicate this is the event.
I agree, the hair was mentioned when I think he and Hiro were on the Today show. Also, for those that think he had a scar, but doesn't have it later because he saved the cheerleader, how would he have been able to come close to defeating Sylar if he hadn't saved the cheerleader. If Peter doesn't get all entangled with Claire, then Matt, etc., then chances are, he doesn't end up tussling with Sylar and getting the head wound.Anyway, love the show as much as Lost, but I don't think that the puzzle pieces in this show will be put together quite as well as Lost. I think this one will be heavier on the action/effects and thus probably will have more holes/things to overlook, especially all of the time travel. Not that it will get to a 24 level, i.e. pure eye candy/entertainment, but somewhere in between.Disagree. Lost seems like they're writing it as they go along. We might not be able to grasp the puzzle pieces yet, but this is better writing.Anyway, love the show as much as Lost, but I don't think that the puzzle pieces in this show will be put together quite as well as Lost. I'm with Scupper on this one. I watch Heroes because it's my favorite TV show at the moment, and the writing has been very good thus far.I continue to watch Lost, because I've simply invested too much time at this point to bail out. But there are plot lines that have been left dangling since season one with no signs of ever resolving themselves. I often get the sense that Lost isn't really going anywhereDisagree. . It seems the writers have contented themselves with answering some small details while piling up and layering even more mysteries on top of the existing ones to try to keep the viewer guessing, but they are chasing their audience away. You may be right, but I absolutely despise writers "making it up as they go along", so I do hope you're wrong about Lost...link to article quoted aboveIf you've ever watched Seven's real-time drama 24, with all its improbable plot twists and internal inconsistencies, you might have wondered if the writers were making it up as they went along. Well, it turns out they were.
In a recent interview with The New York Times before the launch of the fourth season in America, co-creator Robert Cochran admitted that the furthest his writers ever planned ahead was six episodes, and that was during season one. That number steadily declined to the point where, for the fourth series, the writers didn't know what they were going to do from one week to the next.
I was just thinking, can Claire cut her hair or would it just grow back. Because it didn't burn off in the fire. Seems like a small glitch in her powers by the show.HOT!!Is she sitting with Peter? It looks like Peter in that picture... or is it her father, Nathan.Over-the-top hot!!

When I first read this it really made sense. After all, if Peter doesn't get the message from Hiro and never makes it to Texas, then Clair is most likely dead to Sylar. However, after thinking about it I realized that Peter would still have the healing power. If Sylar gained that power, then Peter would have just gained it at the scene we are all left hanging at anyway and been able to heal.Gamblor said:It is hard to grasp - but it does make sense. I'm sure it's been answered, but, literally 80-100 movies - most popularly, probably A Clockwork Orange. Most recently, Entourage as Ari's boss and then his rival/former boss. Here's a PARTIAL filmogrophy:belljr said:APRIL 23 WTF?????

not necessarily - saving the cheerleader was not necessarily the path to avoiding the scar.He could save the cheerleader, save the world, and STILL get the scar Hiro was talking about - f'in' with timelines messes up tons of stuff.I think its pretty obvious he would have had a scar until Hiro told him to Save the Cheerleader, Save the World. Hence now he will not have a scar. Duh
But he did.And he does. So, this is a circular debate.ETA - I don't doubt that it is actually Claire that needed to be saved and that Peter absorbing her powers means nothing to the "save the world" storyline.ETA II - and, Hiro may have needed Peter to absorb some OTHER power of Sylar's - or to have simply met Sylar - or a thousand things. But if Clair isn't saved, then Sylar has her power. And if Peter is in proximity with Sylar, then he gains that power there.Yeah - I speculated on that a while back, and still think it is true.shadyridr said:Save the Cheerleader, save the world...Maybe this means if Peter didnt save Claire he wouldnt have absorbed her healing powers and would have been killed by Sylar in this episode (or at least became scarred by Sylar). This is what I'm thinking. Claire seems to be pretty integral to whatever is going to happen.Edit to add: What I was saying isn't circular. All I'm saying is that the scar shouldn't come from Sylar opening his dome since under both scenarios Peter would have the power to heal. But he did.And he does. But if Clair isn't saved, then Sylar has her power.
