So Nathan is getting a little greedy for power and is willing to sacrifice NY for world domination with the help of Linderman? Sinister.

The most interesting thing I saw in the preview for next week was that they showed a picture of Sylar on tv that had the caption below of "Remembrance" or something like that (it went by quick) implying that he dies as a hero.

Next week should be really good. Really wanted to see the Hiro/Future Hiro confrontation this week though.

Seems logical that it would pick up there and then as Hiro discovers how the "New World" is, so do we.

Next week is going to be the coolest heroes episode ever.
It looks much better than this week. I actually thought this weeks was OK, not as good as usual. The whole Sylar/Peter thing was pretty anti-climatic. When Peter was dead, they dragged it on a while. Claire was at the stairs and seemed to take 10 minutes to get into the room to pay her respects. As soon as the glass went into Peter's head, you knew it was going to end exactly like Claire and the piece of wood.I don't really like the direction Nathan's character is going. He was a pompous ### before, but seemed like he wasn't a totally corrupt/evil guy. I also thought it was funny that DL knew it was Jessica, the chick that tried to kill him and has ties to Linderman, and he still left Micah there. I know Jessica didn't offer up Micah, the hot, hot, totally hot shape changer chick did, but DL sure didn't seem to have a sense of urgency to protect his kid or himself.

Ok, so Linderman showed Nathan a painting (Isaac's) of Nathan in office, standing next to an American flag.

Later we see Sylar painting what looked like a sort of angrily painted version of Isaac's painting, but the person in the office looked different (as in not Nathan).

Did I imagine this? :screencaps?:

Also, with a shape shifter as a recurring character now, anything is possible, and the painting Nathan saw of himself in office could very well have been the shape shifter looking like Nathan, for all we know.

I think it was still Nathan. Sylar inherited Isaac's precognition, not his artistic talent.

The confrontation between Sylar and Isaac was amazing.

"This is the part where people usually scream".

And Isaac knew he was supposed to die but he thought it was for some greater good. And then he was basically crucified like Jesus. Cool symbolism there.

And the actor that plays Sylar is phenomenal.

I thought it was interesting when Isaac said "I'm going to show them how to kill you."Also, again Sylar used that strange commanding voice. It obviously isn't Eve's power since he wasn't compelled to do what he said, but it's odd they keep having Sylar use it.

Meh.

Maybe it was due to the build-up after weeks of being away, but I was expecting so much more from the episode. Next week's looks very promising.

I can agree with this. But it just looked like the character Sylar painted had white or light coloured hair.I just don't wanna hop on this train until I see a screencap, cause I only saw it for a brief moment...

My guess is that future Hiro trains present day Hiro, but I would think that could cause a paradox

I agree. I thought it was going to be a huge fight. Instead Peter goes invisible then stands there with his back to Sylar?

When Issac told Sylar that he "showed them how to kill him", I think he was referring to the comic book or his sktechbook.

Or the painting that Sylar made. I think it was himself that he painted in the White House. Somehow Isaac purposefully gave Sylar an ability to paint non-futures. When Peter finished a painting for Isaac earlier, it was perfect match for Isaacs artistic style. The painting Sylar made was most definitely not. Sylar doesn't know that. If Isaac was somehow able to alter his future seeing knowing that Sylar would refer to them as an absolute, all the while deceiving himself to possibly make wrong choices.

I think Hiro's dad was the shogun warrior from the past. Not Hiro himself.

I'm a little confused as to why shape-shifter would give Micah to Linderman. At first I thought it was to deceive Linderman, but now I think it was to deceive Micah.

I agree. Kind of dunb. As soon as Sylar lifted the glass we all knew what he was going to do. Why didn't Pter push all the glass at Sylar? It floated in the air for a few long seconds. Or fly above the level that the glass was. Insted he tuns his back to Sylar and waits. What a dumb hero.

He also had green skin. Maybe he turns into the Toxic Avenger. :sadbanana:

Peter was able to absorb Nathan's talent, so I presume Sylar could too. The reason the painting looks different is because it's probably from a different future where Nathan goes power-hungry like someone else said. It's still Nathan, the painting is just an evil version.

I'm not a fan. He doesn't seem to play the role consistently. I know the character started off as a meager & weak watch repairman, but he doesn't seem to be badassed enough for me.

Micah will ue his R2D2-like powers to rig the voting machines for a election win for Petrelli.

In the first painting Nathan looks strong and determined - noble. In the second he looks dejected and beaten.

It looked like Bizarro Nathan, which would make sense in an alternate reality.

He's not dejected and beaten. He's a monster (metaphorically).http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/4634/sylarpaintjp6.jpg

Wonder what Mrs. Petrellis powers are?
Maybe she can cast multiple votes. Thats how Nathan gets elected :)
Nathan gets elected when the kid uses his powers to mess with the electronic voting machines. The episode in 2 weeks is called "Landslide". As in a "Landslide" victory.
WTF? Spoiler tags down?

You mean you couldn't see that coming? If it were any more obvious it would have poked you in the nose.

No. But even if I had spoiler tags are in order here.

I don't think Peter waited, I think he stayed still to avoid making noise but then turned to run.Has Peter come in contact with Ted yet? He could could get out of NY if he wanted to prevent the explosion, right?

It's not a spoiler if it just my guess. I'm just thinking out loud. My bad.

Anyone who didn't like last nights show is :)
Never said I didn't like it. Definitely wasn't up to par with the last few episodes. The couple seconds of the Peter/Sylar scene that we saw a couple months ago was a lot more dramatic than it played out. There was no big fight. It ended on a whimper and the whole piece of glass thing in the head was so Claire piece of wood. Then the poorly acted dead Peter scene just got silly. You knew as soon as Peter got killed that Claire would find the piece of glass, pull it out and he would be fine. The rest of the show was much better, Hiro and Ando, the escape from Primatech, Jessica's stand off with Linderman, etc. The only other part that was meh was DL not just grabbing Micah and leaving. He was figuring out that it was Jessica, but now he is OK with her and just told her to decide if she wanted to be part of the family? WTF?Overall, because of the Peter/Sylar/Nathan/Grandma arc, it was an OK episode.

Don't worry, as foos said, they pretty much hammered you over the head with it. Nathan is way behind in the polls, Linderman needs him to win, and Micah can mess around with electronic gadgets. Not much of a leap to use the jump to conclusions mat.

My guess was that Peter was trying to protect Mohinder. Peter thought that he could not die from the glass so he tried to block it.Curious as to what Mrs Petrelli can do also. I am guessing that Issac included in the final 9th Wonder how to kill off Sylar

:goodposting: He knew he was going to die, so he got everything wrapped up and gave it to that guy. They didn't show us any out of the ordinary paintings, so I agree that Isaac already got that info out before Sylar came.

Peter stood there so he could try to absorb Sylar's powers. Right as Sylar let the glass go the blackboard came flying at him from behind. Maybe Peter knew that would knock him out and would allow Mohinder to get out of there. Peter believed, before that, that he could heal ala Claire, but did not know that a piece of glass to the head inhibits the healing.

Peter stood there to help Mohinder and heal himself.

The writers of Heroes are such teases! Everytime Mamma Petrelli got asked about powers or hinted at it, I was hoping they would show her power. I was just waiting. Damn them.

I think Mohinder rammed the blackboard into Sylar.Did Mohinder bring a dead Peter to his mothers in a taxi? How weird is that?

I think Mohinder is a taxi driver, like his father before him...

I think this is why they just introduced the character. I do not think she will be a hold over to next season either. It will get to a point where you watch each scene wondering if they are all the actual characters. Hopefully the writers to not use this too much. It seems like an easy gimmic to use, but makes for lazy storylines.
