She kinda seems a bit like Drebin now after hearing all that.  That's better then the way I thought of her before at least.  I think this helps her rep.  This country did elect W.  We embrace the fool.

Meh. People will just read the 'no indictment' headline, figure it means 'did nothing wrong', and move on. Everything forgiven by the next news cycle. Expect a major + bump for her in the polls.

Personally, I'm not relieved by this; I'm disappointed. I honestly never thought this story was as big a deal as other people, like Saints did. Hillary said on several occasions that she never sent or received classified information. Obviously that was an untrue statement. Some of my respect for her has been lost. 

 
It's only "poor judgement" if you know what Republicans would have BENGHAZID if everything had been available.  No doubt she knew exactly what she was doing and had lawyers look at it ahead of time to confirm it wasn't illegal. How you feel about that decision sure seems like it aligns pretty well with how you felt about her to begin with.

 
Big takeaway here, other than her recklessness, is that -- yet again -- she was completely dishonest about this, especially in classified docs.

Is there a claim by Comey that something is missing?  I don't think that's really the heart of it. But I haven't seen anything outside this thread yet.

I don't think Comey said she did not do anything illegal, as I understood it from Comey the DOJ just doesn't bring the negligence charge as a matter of practice.

Normals lose their federal careers for this.

Comey could have declared her entirely innocent and you'd have thought it all made her look bad.

That's not true at all. I have said on numerous occasions that I respect Comey and would abide by what he says.  What he said today was that while indictments aren't normally brought up in these cases, HRC was extremely careless in her handling of classified info.  He also confirmed that HRC did, indeed, lie about this whole thing.

So, he has confirmed what we've all been saying about Hillary, just that charges won't be brought.  And, tbh, I've always said I doubt she won't be indicted.

Ironically what Comey said was true: if Clinton were still in government, they could do something administratively - she would lose her security clearance, she could be suspended, fired, banned from future federal work, and fined. All these things would be awaiting someone in Hillary's position in federal government.

Some truth is now clear.  It is known she set up a system to obscure open records, and probably should have security clearances pulled. 

Given who she is up against, I will vote for her.  I would vote, however, with good reason for any viable alternative.  Any.  

But given I don't have a choice of a viable candidate...  Congrats on installation of a candidate whose judgment was just indicted, and who would have been fired from her SoS job if she still held it.

But what choice do I have?  What choice do any of us?

Trump's capacity to explain this is near nil.

I do think that 2015-16 the people have been in a 'fix is in' mood though, and this will only exacerbate things. If Trump can mouth anything it's those words over and over again.

I wonder if Paul Ryan regrets not running. Then again, Trump may have beaten him in the primary. And I reckon if Hillary wins, Ryan will be the frontrunner in 2020.
