I thought her last 2-3 weeks going back to California Primary have been AWFUL but I'll listen to whatever was said today. She has been promising freebies everywhere she goes and I'm just wondering who is going to pay for all of this. Tim, the challenge in trying to talk to you is you seem swayed by Clinton's day to day...she has had 25-30 years and we can discuss the results of that but you want to key in on her speech today like it was MLK material and I'm saying and Trump supporters are saying and non Trump GOP types are saying "GIMME A BLEEPING BREAK!"

You can't toss out her record over 30 years and just go with today's speech. This is not Obama 2008 my friend. BO had a lot of momentum. Clinton not so much. In fact Bill Maher keyed in on it a few weeks ago when he called her a plodding centrist...that's not good right now.

I noticed that Comey stated last week that Hillary's attorneys had not read all her emails, and I think it was a Catch 22 where Hillary had to admit this to avoid charges she exposed classified materials to aides without clearance.

But read the exchange with Gowdy.  She lied under oath.  And she certainly played legal chicken with her semantics about what was and wasn't turned over.

I should have thought of who I was posting to. Of course you would know. I had a vacation when I was a kid to the VA coast when I was a kid, one of the best memories of my life. Anyway I always have though that whole DelMarVa thing was very cool, hope to do it one day. Needless to say great seafood is a love of mine.

Well really sometimes I post stuff because to me it's new information. I don't think I realized Comey confirmed what we knew. I mean we know Hillary's emails were read/downloaded but it's really something to hear it from him. However there are a few around here who are not so willing to understand or accept what is essentially basically truths such as this. To the extent you knew it already, yeah, there it is.

- So it was more than "55." You're counting chains instead of actual communications.

- Whether these were damaging in the way of their release, I don't know, we can't say they were but we can't say they weren't. Presumably since the government won't release them, some people with real knowledge think they might even today.

There are 52 chains of emails (i.e. emails about a particular topic) in the "110 e-mails in 52 e-mail chains have been determined by the owning agency to contain classified information at the time they were sent or received". plus at most 3 more "With respect to the thousands of e-mails we found that were not among those produced to State, agencies have concluded that three of those were classified at the time they were sent or received."  Assuming those three were stand alone then 52 + 3 = 55 chains.  55 topics.  55 "secrets".  Granted some of these could be compound "secrets" with multiple pieces of "classified information" in the email chain which is why I said "secrets".   And since this is just over twice as many emails in question as there are chains, it means that Hillary's participation in these email chains is at best one email received and one reply (on average).   A bunch "FYI"  to her and a "thanks" from her?

As for the presumption, the government won't release the 50 to 90 percent of items generally considered over classified  either.  Just on this information the odds are that between 50 and 90 percent of these should also never have been classified at all.   But considering hundreds of people in the government passed this information around freely in unsecured email (per Comey) without blinking an eye I suspect that these tend to the high end of the odds.   But I'm just playing the percentages,  new facts can change this perspective.  So go ahead and show me the emails (unredacted) that makes me rethink this.

Definitely salacious -- but more of what we can expect from a Clinton presidency.  And note the behavior of covering things up, even Clinton-to-Clinton -- and erasing unseemly dealings from Clinton Foundation records -- plus tax laws violated because a non-profit can't invest in a for-profit.  Unless of course you have no laws or accountability.  These people!

I don't think people even need to look at testimony or interview notes, that will tell people everything she intentionally sought to destroy. To me that's a public document and it should be made public, I take it the wheels of power will never allow it to be shown.
