Don't let this stop your narrative train, but Clinton is for educating our population as well.     And that's not just "the establishment" you want to address your remarks to, by the way - it's the (relatively far) greater number of people who have voted for Clinton over Sanders.  Make sure you don't exempt them from your disdain.
She unveiled her plan after Bernie introduced the concept... and it will now be dropped... as she herself said being realistic and pragmatic and not a "dreamer" is the key.

I haven't hesitated to call out black voters and seniors. They weren't excluded from my disdain - they were the main target.
Perhaps you - and your preferred candidate - should have made a more convincing argument to such critical and large sectors of the electorate?  In any event, if black voters are "the establishment" as you put it, count me in with them.

Don't forget to include Wall Street and workers in Mexico and China "in" with you.

Why stop there?  Taking your premise to its logical conclusion, Clinton should now switch over and run against Trump and Co. in the Republican primary.  Talk about hyperbole.

I have to say, and I realize it's a new paradigm perhaps, but Hillary doesn't strike me as being Presidential.

Too much shrieking,  too easy to rattle under pressure,  too many things taken personally, awful with the press and generally awful connecting with the public.

Trump can push her to the bottom here.

I think there will be a contested convention in Cleveland.  Kasich gets the nomination.  Beats Hillary in a squeaker.  Invites Trump and Hillary over to the White House for a weenie roast.  Neither come.

She should wait a little and hope Trump clinches - no way she loses to him but she could lose to Kasich.
I think she would win a ton of respect if she endorsed Kasich right now. If she said something like:

You know, I disagree with Governor Kasich on a lot of issues, but he is a very decent man,  and I know that if I had to face him in the general election it would be very tough for me, much tougher than Donald Trump. But that doesn't matter. The honor of the Republican Party, one of our great political parties, is at stake, and that's more important. Having Donald Trump as the GOP nominee is a threat to our national security because of the image we send to the world. Therefore, I ask all responsible Republicans, vote for John Kasich.

This would have the same effect as a Jeb Bush endorsement. Kiss-0-Death.

So the election in the fall is set.

No We Can't! Egomaniac with no moral center

Terrific Empty Suit Bigoted Egomaniac with no moral center

America. F yeah.

:yucky:

Maybe Sanders can go work somewhere in Europe. They seem to align close to his way of thinking.
This is America's future, just not quite yet.
Sanders' ideas are largely stuck in twentieth century liberalism, the realities of the twenty-first century automation (among other things) probably means ideas like college degrees and higher minimum wages are already obsolete.  But no one is addressing issues that really matter, or even being asked for their position.

Yeah, this is fair. I've touted for a while that I don't fundamentally agree with those two specific points you raise. We're both supporters of a Basic Income and figuring out what a nation needs to look like when people's jobs get taken away, not from other countries but by machines. :)

Congratulations to Clinton supporters.

I of course hope that the policies she brings to bear should she win the general election will be the ones she has been discussing most recently, and not the ones that seemed more likely while chanting "single payer will never happen" but in any event Clinton will obviously be a solid foreign policy Presidential choice.

Why does Hillary dress so frumpy? She's a fine looking woman.

Periodic reality check from the oddsmakers:

Hillary    68.47%
Trump     21.34%
Kasich    4.33%
Sanders    2.93%
Cruz     2.93%

Hillary up about 6% after last night, mostly at the expense of Sanders but also Trump.

So now the only thing can prevent President Hillary Clinton is the FBI?  Ugh.

Well, I guess I can hope.
If people thought the DOJ would be influence by politics the prospect of Donald being the loan candidate standing after some sort of indictment isn't going to help things.

This is interesting...since 18 year olds started voting in 1972, turnout has been in a really narrow range:

2008    57.10%
2004    55.70%
1992    55.20%
1972    55.10%
2012    54.90%
1976    53.60%
1984    53.30%
1980    52.80%
1988    50.30%
2000    50.30%
1996    49.00%

And the last three elections are all in the top half.  Would definitely take the over on 54% for this one.
