Official Hillary Clinton 2016 thread (5 Viewers)

There is a reason for the witch hunt.  Whether you want to admit it or not, the Clintons bring it on themselves.  This is not about finding nothing or learning what we already know.  It piles on the crap of how the Clinton's operate.  Their ability to leave the white house with essentially nothing and use nothing but their political influence and power and sell it to the highest bidder to become obscenely rich.  They continually operate in the grey areas of the law which any lay person looking at it sees how blatantly unethical and sleazy it is.  Obama has his haters, but he avoids much of the scandalous crap the Clintons are always rolling in because he is not renting out the Lincoln bedroom, or collecting FBI files on enemies, or investing in cattle futures, or taking in huge donations and collecting huge speaking fees from foreign governments, or the other 1000's things that the Clinton's routinely do.
I agree the Clintons do, to a fair degree, bring it on themselves.

That's said, while I never liked and never fully trusted Hillary, which grew into hate not that different than some we see in this thread when she carpet bagged for self promoting reasons in my state, about a year or so ago I just had enough. I began to look a little more critically at the issue and recognized that my vitriol extended well beyond what was appropriate even the legitimate concerns... and regardless, the hate bleed well over from politics and policy into the personally realm.

As I peeled the onion, painfully mind you as I had a lot of up close hatred for Hillary piled up for a decade plus myself, my understanding became that I got wrapped up in the hype, the hate machine and the emotional vitriol... and what really turned me was when I saw those far left of me, under the Bernie mantle, take up these same tactics.

At the same time I began to smut I had been part of the problem, I realized that this divisive and over the top language and lack of depth or context now really threatened our national well being, as it set a stage for the Republicans (and at the time Cruz seemed no better than Trump in many ways).

So yes. Much of this is her and the Clintons own doing. Worse yet the DNCs complicity in it directly and in gearing the last four years to culminate in her crowning as nominee...

but that does not excuse the level of hate, vitriol, lack of thinking things through with proper context and nuance and worst of all, just taking the most base of approaches to communicate your position when others are at least trying to engage in important conversations.

Another funny thing about the Russian angle is that it just popped up this election.  Maybe it was a concern during the Cold War, but I had never heard anything about "Russian influence" before this year.  Why didn't they want to influence any of our past elections? Absolute bs that most America doesn't believe.

You really can't see why people wouldn't want Russia interfering in our elections?  And you can't understand that if the Russians support the election of Trump, that's probably because it's in their best interest?
I believe in free speech especially when it revolves around political speech.  If information is true, I really don't care where it feel from.  Besides, are you seriously pulling the foreign interest card in defending Hillary, who friggin stuffs her pockets with all kinds of money from foreign interests.  It is not a card the Clintons should be playing.

The marina in many of the emails was an assistant or something.  They debunked that on the Donald Reddit.
Well, that does it.  If the Donald reddit says that the Marina in many emails was an assistant or something then this email must mean she wants her housekeeper to have classified info.  Lock her up. .

It was harder to release information by postcard or leaflet.

They have always been trying to undermine us and yes, there are election ezamples in the past.

its just back in the "good ole days" both parties had enough respect for each other and, more importantly, the nations well being to not accept it happening as opppsed to today when it's quite literally applauded at best and actually encouraged by folks in this thread as is true among may trump supporters, encouraged by the candidates own unpatriotic and arguably seditious words.

So they had no interest in Romney winning, or McCain, Bob Dole, Bush?  Is there any evidence of them trying to interfere in previous elections.  It wasn't even talked about until this year. Pretty big reach if you ask me.

So this old bag is going to win. 4 years from now, any chance the stupid R's (or better yet, a 3rd viable party) can come up with a viable candidate that quits with the lame, out of date, positions on religion, abortion, lower taxes on the rich, etc. I mean these morons still don't get that you win by tricking the masses into voting for you like the D's do. They target the minorities & the poor, promise free stuff, promise unrealistic increases in min. wage, etc. That's why they win. Trump only beat these losers because everyone has had enough of them. When you are worse than Trump, you really suck. When you are barley beating Trump, well, you obviously suck as well.

Is that really directed at me?  Really?  Despite what Sherriff Joe may think, my comments tend to be well thought out and based on facts with no real hate.  I may be disgusted with the process which brought us two truly horrible candidates, but I don't hate on people, just some of their kooky ideas.

I agree with the majority of this post.

This is effectively a lesson in how we communicate now that the honeymoon with technology is over. Email is not safe. Let's eat!
Yes, I'm sure every campaign/political operation going forward will instruct people to treat e-mail with assumption that anything you write could become publicly available.

I don't get why democrats are making such a big issue about where the information may or may not come from.  OK, I do know.  They want to deflect from the truth.
To be fair, there seems to be a helluva lot of Republicans/Conservatives/Alt-Right/Neo-Cons...whatever they're called these days who poo-poo and dismiss information simply because it comes from CNN/MSNBC/"Mainstream" media.  Seems like there's an industry dedicated to questioning/belittling information only because it comes from a source that is "questionable.

Wheat can do better than Trump!

You need to formulate that into more of a Wed. morning hot take... "CONGRATULATIONS, DEMOCRATS....YOU BARELY MANAGED TO BEAT ONE OF THE, IF NOT THE...WORST POTUS CANDIDATE OF ALL TIME".

Does make you wonder why they would have interest in this one, doesn't it?  What does Trump as a candidate represent that helps their interests?

Because there weren't useful idiots running with ties to russia.

I dont think wikileaks should be outright ignored but i think there are issues verifying the content and there has not been much anyway that really matters.

Russia has been extremely aggressive the past 5 years or so with cyber attacks, hacking, Arctic, Crimea, Ukraine, Syria, etc. Romney was 100% right about Russia. They are pulling 1930s germany moves. Their economy is in shambles. They are crushing civil rights and speech. They are a big threat and see an opportunity here that has never presented itself before and are taking advantage of a candidate's rhetoric and his easily influenced supporters.

Dont discount the content of the emails. Fine. But the intelligence community believes these hacks stem from russia. There is no reason to discount this conclusion and it is sad that people have no faith in institutions that protect us. Since when does a president just believe they know everything and not take advice from experts?  Where is the patriotism and backlash that should be directed at Russia right now from trump or his supporters?!

Trump could easily say that hillary is corrupt and whatever else he believes can be interpreted from the emails, but at the same time explicitly denounce russia and hacking. Instead he is a selfish piece of garbage and in fact encouraged foreign espionage.  That is borderline treasonous and the only reason i say borderline is because i think trump is too dumb to realize the impact of his words.

Who knows. Maybe the Russians help get Ronald Reagan the actor elected, except it backfired on them.

Email from Doug Band has surfaced indicating that the Clinton Foundation paid for Chelsea's 3 million dollar wedding and her lavish lifestyle

there is no bottom with these people

Exactly! One of the great post-election stories is going to be trying to figure out whether or not Donald is actually in the bag for the Russians (via blackmail, bribe, or just ideologically) or they just think he's such a nitwit that they can easily manipulate him. My money's on the later.

MORE LINKS! Without anything else!

Its been days since Ive bothered to even click on a Mr. Ham or Dodds link. At this rate, Im going to start questioning whether I should bother with anything put forth by Dodds, be it political or football.  Just such a clear demonstration of what I have railed against re no critical thinking and almost literal parrotting of anything to support their preconceived and half baked conspiracy theories.
Critical thinking again.  From this guy.   :lmao:

Because assange has something on him or he is claiming it is rigged despite what he and the fbi have done to this election?

How much does hillary need to win by for people to not say it was rigged?
It was rigged in terms of her vs. Bernie but not against Trump.  She's gonna win.  I don't see hardly anyone claiming Tuesday is rigged though.

If anybody is in the bag for the Russians, it's Clinton

- Putin funneled money to the foundation

- Clinton approved Putin control of 20 % of our uranium

- Clinton is responsible for the Skolkovo project which gave Putin accces to some of our latest military tech

- Podesta has deep financial ties

The only source I see is something called Zero Hedge, where the piece begins like this:

A couple of days we shared a Podesta email from Doug Band about Chelsea talking openly in public about her "internal investigation" into

It's become nearly impossible to untangle the legitimate criticisms of Hillary from the whack-job, tea party, obstructionist demonizing of her. They did a masterful job of painting her as one of the most corrupt figures in our entire history. Now with the alt-right media we get all kinds of health rumors, occult rituals, you name it. As with many things, the truth is somewhere in the middle.

It is kind of sad that we have reached a point where anything a politician does is OK as long as they don't leave behind enough evidence to be convicted.
There is plenty of evidence to convict, but the DOJ won't let that happen

Only if they change the ridiculous way the primaries are run...

The truth is that nothing in the wikileaks e-mails is really that bad. I'm sure it's frustrating for Trump supporters who kept waiting/hoping for the smoking gun but there really hasn't been one.
Are the Wikileaks emails even admissible as evidence? Wikileaks is publishing documents that look like real emails, but how can the FBI use them to make a case without possessing the actual emails?

Well, except for one of the candidates.

State GOP Chairman Michael McDonald responded to the sudden electoral tremors Saturday by suggesting there were shady dealings behind surge, referring to “a certain group.”

“Last night, in Clark County, they kept a poll open till 10 o’clock at night so a certain group could vote,” said McDonald at a Trump rally in Reno. “It wasn’t in an area that normally has high transition. The polls are supposed to close at 7. This was kept open till 10. Yeah, you feel free right now? Think this is a free or easy election?”

In his speech following those remarks, Trump suggested there might be wrongdoing at "certain key Democratic polling locations in Clark County."

"Folks, it's a rigged system. It's a rigged system. And we're going to beat it," he said.

They have the emails.  If they choose to use them and do anything with them.

I asked earlier this week what was in the emails, and no response.  They got nothin.

To be fair, she did pass out and got tossed into the van like a side of beef, followed by conflicting stories about a bout of pneumonia being contagious or non contagious...

also, to be fair, call it performance art or what not, spirit cooking is pretty ####ed up thing that borrows more occult stuff than an OzzyOsbourne concert, without the kitsch factor and Podesta seemed to be into it

That's awful - people being allowed to participate in democracy outside of the prescribed time determined by politicians is an outrage!

Shady dealings and rigging = following long standing practices to ensure people are able to exercise their franchise.

Trump and his people have been?  It is why trump says "we'll see" about accepting results.
Trump said a lot of stupid stuff.  I don't see many voters claiming it's rigged though.  Of course his hard core followers are just like the hard core Hillary followers keep saying stupid stuff like all she did was delete her own emails.  There's stupid on both sides every election but 90% of people aren't mentioning a rigged election.
