They had Trump getting 25% of the black vote in South Carolina back in September. Nate rates them a "C".The same polling company has Trump up 2 in Pennsylvania, up 4 in Nevada, and tied in Colorado.
Pennsylvania: "Larger Trump win with strong hidden vote likely in this state."
Nevada: "Shy Trump voter more than a theory"
Colorado: "Poll is tight but Question 2 ('Who do you think your neighbors are voting for?') gives us a different story"
Pretty sure these guys are the 2016 version of UnskewedPolls.com.
I never heard of Trafalgar, but the Nevada numbers alone shoot their credibility, As mentioned a few pages back, Jon Ralston says that with the overwhelming numbers of Latinos in early voting, Trump is done in Nevada. And their phraseology is these races is interesting, perhaps showing their bias with strong hidden vote, Shy Trump voter and Who do you think your neighbors are voting for? - as it seems to fit the narrative that Trump's real supporters are not being honest with pollsters. The same polling company has Trump up 2 in Pennsylvania, up 4 in Nevada, and tied in Colorado.

They're expecting a brexit type election. They believe the truth lies between what respondents say about themselves and their neighbors. A 2 for 1. He's just being shy. They had Trump getting 25% of the black vote in South Carolina back in September. Nate rates them a "C".
I'm sure that most of your "how little do you know calling me a Trump supporter" replies in this thread are real Trump supportersas it seems to fit the narrative that Trump's real supporters are not being honest with pollsters
I keep hearing Brexit used as an analogy but I am very skeptical in drawing any conclusions. Historically there hadn't been a lot polling done on national referendums in the UK, so there weren't the prior statistical comparisons as with presidential elections we have this country. Also, the difference in the Brexit outcome fell between in the margin of error in many pre-vote polls showing it 52%-48% against, which flipped on voting day, not a Truman/Dewey situation that was a stunning unexpected upset. They're expecting a brexit type election. They believe the truth lies between what respondents say about themselves and their neighbors. A 2 for 1. Based in Atlanta.
he's only been above 50% for the last 5 months. The prior 3 years he was well under 50%. Against the backdrop of the undisputed TWO worst presidential candidates ever a bag of #### would get a 60% approval rating.Angela Rye! @angela_rye 10m10 minutes ago
POTUS's closing argument is essentially one last SOTU.
Because why not? His approval rating is almost 60%.
But it is almost 60% and the election is tomorrow. This isn't George Bush campaigning for McCain. And his approval ranking should have absolutely nothing to do with who is currently running.he's only been above 50% for the last 5 months. The prior 3 years he was well under 50%. Against the backdrop of the undisputed TWO worst presidential candidates ever a bag of #### would get a 60% approval rating.
Oh absolutely it does. And his approval ranking should have absolutely nothing to do with who is currently running.
Let me explain it this way:That doesn't make any sense.
Chicks don't gravitate towards guys that live in their mom's basement.Let me explain it this way:
The chick who's a six suddenly looks like a four when she's standing next to two nines.
Yet that same chick who's a six suddenly looks like an eight when she's standing next to two twos.
People are now looking at a Obama compared to the two candidates and thinking of Obama, "He suddenly doesn't look so bad."
I guess you'd have to have gone out and socialized with chicks to understand.
Sadly, this is not true. It's weird, but that's a fact. Not most good chicks, you understand, but a definite subset of attractive, worthwhile women love serious losers.Chicks don't gravitate towards guys that live in their mom's basement.
Maybe the GOP should have come up with a better option in the last 8 years then.he's only been above 50% for the last 5 months. The prior 3 years he was well under 50%. Probably the folks helping her set up deals with foreign governmentsWho told her this "deal...me...in!" line sounded good? Nails on a chalkboard.
It can be one of her better speeches and still be awful. It's hardly a strength of hers. Not true. One of her better speeches.
Obviously you missed her speech at the convention. It can be one of her better speeches and still be awful. It's hardly a strength of hers.
Ha not exactly.Hillary takes the lead...4 to 2 in NH.
Thats odd, our schools are always closed for election day - many schools are polling places.Standing in line at North Beach Elementary in Miami Beach getting ready to vote for Madame President. The county had the foresight to make it a teacher's planning day.
Yes, our schools are closed for the big elections.Thats odd, our schools are always closed for election day - many schools are polling places.
That wasn't a very good speech. It was pretty mediocre on its face, but especially poor in contrast to the lineup of excellent speeches before hers.Obviously you missed her speech at the convention.
ANY SECOND NOWI wonder if today is phase 3 of wiki leaks...or did phase 3 already happen and the world missed it? Was the Satan dinner phase 3? Weak. I feel bad for the wiki leak diehards ... They waited faithfully for the bombshell that never dropped. I guess the only hope they have now is for the Russians to hack the election today.
God Bless America, I love this day. I will be going in person too. It's a great communal event and a patriotic one. Be A Citizen.Man oh man..
I just got to cast a general election vote for Hillary Clinton. @NCCommish @adonis (wherever you are) @SaintsInDome2006 -- that's about 10 years of back and forth from when she announced in 2007 to now.
It's crazy to think how much politics has changed since then. Obama Clinton was a fun sparring match where I left defeated but energized about electing Barack Obama. Flash forward to now and I just feel drained. The polarizatioN, the vitriol... It's not as fun this time around.
But I'm still proud to say #ImWithHer
About the Dodd-Frank discussion, I just thought this from Bill Clinton from November 2015 was pretty interesting:6. Protection of Dodd Franks (vs. Republicans who will repeal it.) THIS is one issue where she will defy Wall Street.
How could a Democratic debate last an hour and a half and no one asked about the biggest new story of the previous week? Which is that non-college educated, middle class, white Americans' life expectancy is declining? Because since that crash, only 14 percent of the American people have had any kind of raise. And only five percent of any statistical significance.
The vast majority of those people are living on less money than they were the day I left office, after you adjust for inflation. And there was no question about it, no question about why the rate of small business formation has gone down.
No question about why Dodd-Frank, which I supported, because we had to reduce the risk-taking of the big financial trading banks — they caused this problem.
And putting commercial banks in the trading business by letting them sell subprime mortgages and security aggravated this. But the community banks still need to be able to loan money to a farmer whose tractor breaks down when he tried to plant the field.
Oh no - did she lose your vote?Who told her this "deal...me...in!" line sounded good? Nails on a chalkboard.
Should we expect critical, objective Hillary analysis from you? That wasn't a very good speech. It was pretty mediocre on its face, but especially poor in contrast to the lineup of excellent speeches before hers.
But, no one here expects you to think critically, judge objectively, or analyze fairly anything to do with Hillary, so it's no surprise you'd think that speech was better than average.

Well tbf that was all me.
You've gone full Squis on us. Sad!Oh no - did she lose your vote?
The language filter blocks out Squis now?Just went and grabbed that ballot by the #####.
Hopefully you have better reasons to do this than who they are voting for....I posted this in the Trump thread but figured I would post here too:
Today, my partner and I are meeting with an estate planning attorney. I am the biological mother of our child, and if something happens to me, our daughter will go to PA, with my Trump loving family. I will NEVER allow this. And, it's pure coincidence that we are doing this on Election Day, but it needs to be done.
Our attorney said there are several other clients who are doing the exact same thing we are ... Estate planning so their children are not raised by Trump loving family members ?
If this is your real reason, this is a you problem. HTHI posted this in the Trump thread but figured I would post here too:

I have no idea what my parents think about Donald Trump. They're lifetime Republicans, but we don't talk politics that often. Regardless, I would never have had any qualms with them raising my kids if something had happened to my wife and I when they were younger. It's kind of sad that you're making these kinds of decisions based on partisan politics.I posted this in the Trump thread but figured I would post here too:

Mother Teresa was an awful human being. She didn't want to take money because maybe they would ask questions about why she was making people suffer until they died. I'll take Hillary a million times over that ####.I recently heard Dale Brown (former LSU basketball coach and noted NCAA hater) speak at a banquet. He spoke about meeting with Mother Theresa in India (Dale is a name-dropper). He asked Mother Theresa the hardest part of her job. She said it was asking people for money. Here is this woman living with and attempting to aid the poorest, most destitute human beings on the planet. She saw people die daily. Yet to her the toughest part was asking people for money. This is a human reaction. Nobody likes asking for money, because in their natural human mind it is an admission of need or simply an uncomfortable idea to approach. Hillary has spent her entire adult life asking for money. Not for helping the sick and the poor, but to forward her acquisition of power. She does so without shame, without the slightest bit of discomfort in relying on another person's generosity. Whether it is for her own political campaigns or for the Clinton Foundation, her life for 40ish years has been a series of daily incidents of asking people for money. By all measures she and Bill are the greatest political money acquirers in the history of the world. The Clintons' can charge a university hundreds of thousands of dollars for a 20-minute speech in which they will rail against the high cost of an education and demand free tuition and college loan forgiveness. They do so without the slightest inclination of shame. The natural human discomfort in asking for money has disappeared. They are not alone in this as politicians, but they have taken it farther than anyone in history.
