Official Javon Walker Thread (1 Viewer)

WR Javon Walker (DEN) said he will be back on the field against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Oct. 21. "Yes, that's the game I'll be back," Walker said Friday. HC Mike Shanahan determined that Walker, the team's No. 1 receiver, will not play against the visiting San Diego Chargers today because of a lingering knee problem. Walker didn't play at Indianapolis. Shanahan said Friday when Walker didn't practice for the third straight day that he wouldn't play. Brandon Stokley, the team's No. 3 receiver, will start in Walker's place for the second straight game.

Confirmed that ESPNN ticker has Javon Walker, downgraded to OUT today. Can someone update the thread title.

We have known he was going to be out for a couple of days now...why is this even an issue?
Because he has been quoted several times this week as saying he would "definitely" play.
That was last week. His comments have been far more pessimistic this past week and on Friday he essentially acknowledged he wasn't going to play today.
No reason to "he said she said"....now we know he's out.
That isn't what I was doing. I was just trying to clarify things in case someone didn't know about Walker and what he had been saying this week. That's all.

Just so we can put this to bed:

» If you haven't heard, Javon Walker is out for Week 5. Chances are he will return in Week 7 -- Denver has a bye next week.

Dont mean to clog up the threads, but I thought this is the most forward thing Ive read. Thanks.
