Correct.  Used to be a newsgroup guy, but nothing is easier than this.
I haven't DL'd a torrent since I got my FireStick, I don't think (at least not for a show or movie)... my issue is solely with the "recently added" page (for the most part).  I don't think $5 a month would resolve my issue there, and even if it did, not sure it's worth it to me

I really have no idea what Trakt adds to exodus.  I never dug into it very much.  I add shows to the collection manager (I guess this trakt) but just as a shortcut instead of having to find the show again.  A watch list like feature would be nice.  I always liked that using sickbeard with newsgroup.  I'd be at my work computer and I'd get a notification in chrome that a new episode from show I didn't even realize had started again was downloaded.
I mainly use trakt for tv shows I'm watching. Its mostly for the shortcuts, but it's cool to not have to keep track of which episodes I've watched. I put em in my watchlist, and then when I go to progress the next episode in the season is there, as it knows which episodes Ive watched. It's just a time saver really.

I did notice that it marks which shows I've watched.  I need to try out the watchlist.

Ok, maybe I misunderstood your problem.  I know people have complained about exodus in the past b/c there's no hd links or they don't work.   Read debrid would fix that problem.

Well, now my issue (and I'd love if anyone can confirm this) is that multiple different shows under that page are playing the same show!   So the Chinese Hacking episode is showing for the Lean episode (was hoping they were flipped, but both show Chinese Hacking).... so I watched that and went to something else, oh cool, a Brian Cox show... nope, Chinse Hacking.  So I thought maybe something was bugged and I needed a restart and cache clear... nope, same thing.   Whatever, I saw Bojack a little further down, I'll watch that, but WTF

Thing is, I'm not even looking to watch what is there, I am just browsing and something will catch my eye.  So it's not like I'm really going to search for it if they don't have it right there.

BTW, this is under "TV Shows" and then "Latest Episodes"... which seems like it's the most recent stuff uploaded to Exodus.  It doesn't refresh very often so I assume when it does, the stuff is there.   It isn't an issue with bandwidth or memory space.

See if it works for you, the last show I tried to watch was "Cyberwar- 1x04, Hacked By China"... it's like on the 4th row down on that page.  It says "No Streams Available" when I click it.  Same with the "Black Market 1x04, The Lean Scene", which is on the next line down.

I'd say 30-40% of the shows I try on that page are like that.  Which sucks because a lot of the time I don't know what I want to watch and that is a good page for random ideas.
cyberwar china worked for me;   both real debrid and not.

i get china for lean as well

Black Market Episode 4 has 18 streams. The first one buffered and the second played just fine.

Cyberwar Episode 4 has 12 streams, same thing, second link played just fine.

I think both of these aired just last night.   . Someone doth protest too much, imo.

I bought my FireStick on Amazon day, I'm still learning how to best use it.  Fk me for thinking a show should play the right show (or anything at all) when it's listed, right?

So on my Kodi, nothing on that "Latest Episodes" page is different than yesterday (as I mentioned, It's rarely updated), it's exactly the same, not populated by a bunch of new shows that aired last night and are not available yet.

But anyway... The Lean and China are playing the same file, as is Forces of Nature w/ Brian Cox (and who knows what else I haven't clicked... those were the first 3 things I tried to watch yesterday)... that isn't a problem with my expectations or my bandwidth or uncleared cache, it's a problem with Kodi.  I don't know how often this happens though because hardly anything plays off that page for me when I try anyway

What did it play though?!   For NutterButter and I it played the China/Cyberwar episode... and Forces of Nature w/ Brian Cox plays the same thing!

Look, every one of your complaints is a result of the exact same thing that I tried to explain to you several posts ago yet you keep complaining that Kodi/Exodus isn't updated and/or broken.  That's where you are wrong.  Fact - when using Kodi to watch streams you are going to find broken links, saturated links and errors.  The reason for this is because addons like Exodus SCRAPE STREAMING SITES FOR IT'S CONTENT AND THE DATA FROM THOSE SITES ARE NOT ALWAYS CORRECT AND DON'T ALWAYS WORK.  There is nothing Kodi or Exodus can do to fix that, it's up to the individual hosting servers.

I can't say 100% for certain because I only played it long enough to make sure it was working.  One thing I can say for certain is that it was a Black Market intro and not a Cyberwar intro.  I am willing to bet that if you go to "search" instead of "latest episodes" and searched for "black market" you will find a stream that works.

I'm not complaining that it's not updated or broken.  I came in saying it was annoying.  You said:

In Recent Episodes the episode list is generated before it even airs some times.  Make sure the episode has actually aired, give it +1 day and if it's not there post the episode you looking at and I'll see if I am getting it.  There hasn't been anything I've ever looked for that wasn't there next day.

ETA:  I think I may have read your post wrong.  You are getting links and they aren't working?  Clear cache, purge packages, make sure your have hard drive space and adequate internet speed.  Make sure you have the most current version of Exodus.  Sometimes really popular shows are saturated with users the first day after it airs, but, after that I haven't had any problems.

There are 3 episodes that are titled something different playing the same thing.  That's annoying and I'm pretty sure that's not how the "Recent Episodes" are supposed to work (doesn't mean it's broken, just means it's dumb).

I'm not saying it isn't updating or broken, I'm saying it's not that good for that.  If something isn't working I'm actively looking for solutions.  I'm basically just here to complain

Problem with that though is that I would have not known it existed to search if I had not looked under "latest episodes".

As a Kodi user I'm finding that there are a lot of extra steps that one needs to take to avoid a lot of extra steps that you had to do in the past.

Cool and all, but not a "game changer" for me.

Such as?

Seriously?

.... it's a problem with Kodi.

because Kodi isn't consistent enough.

... which seems like it's the most recent stuff uploaded to Exodus.  It doesn't refresh very often

I have the same exact things at the top of the "latest episodes" page right now as I did 24 hrs ago.  Perhaps my lingo is off, but I'm pretty sure it has "scraped" other streaming sites for stuff since then.   I've been saying update or refresh instead.

Anyone use the Amazon Fire TV app to type in Kodi? Not exactly a problem, but all of a sudden on the same wireless network my smartphones can't find the Amazon Fire boxes for typing. I read the Amazon self-help guide, no mirroring, multicast turned on, etc. here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201641000

I can still search with the physical remote of course, but that is kind of a PITA. Have an Archer C7 router if that helps. TIA if anyone has ever ran into this and has a fix!

Any suggestions on picking up the NFL network?

I can occasionally pick it up using the Live Mix addon under the live tv menu in the schism build but sometimes the sound doesn't come in

Dish and NFL network really need to work this contract thing out soon.

So Ive been Rick Rolled several times in the last few days while trying to watch episodes of Stranger Things....its the damnedest thing, Ill be into an episode and then have to restart due to buffering, and BAM. Risk Astley for 24 seconds instead of the episode I was just watching. Freaking annoying as hell. But props for getting me with it.

:lmao:

So I've got a kodi loaded firestick...

How do I get live NFL games?  I can't seem to figure out how to find them.

Like these preseason games that are on right now...

Someone help me out...I'm a lost ball in high weeds over here.

What's the best way to get live nfl games?

Any way to get them HD?

I use Titanium and it has a love sports app. I found some feeds there. They tend to be Canadian TV feeds. So be prepared for Some Canuck Commercials.

new firestick being released oct 20th

quad core &

802.11ac WiFi support has been added.

Blackdot. Just installed Kodi on my old Nexus 5 that I factory reset as my main streaming device paired with Chromecast. It's awesome, best use of an old phone ever.

I have exodus and sportsdevil. Anything else I should add?

You can just install the "Titanium Build" which has both of those, and a ton of other stuff as well.

Titanium sucks to me.  Just too much (at least for Stick).  Then you don't use it for a week or two and try and it's update, update, update, update, can't update, can't update, can't update..   I broke it down to just Exodus/SportsDevil/C-cloud and 1 porn thing.   I'd like other things that I'd actually use, but will never go for another build where I only use 5-10% of what's on there.

So, back to Charlie Harper's question.  Is there anything worth having besides Exodus/Sports Devil?

The only things you need to do are install Kodi (no computer needed), install fusion, and then after installing fusion, go to config wizard,  and select your platform (android for a fire stick).   I installed Beast on a Firestick and had to reset the whole thing. Way too much for a Firestick. The above will install everything you need without being too much.

I read (on Wikipedia) about an add-on emulator like RetroPi that allows you to play video game ROMS.

Quote

Development has been working on new core features which integrates a built-in Games Manager and Game Launcher front-end GUI with a Games Library, and Game Console Emulator API into Kodi. The code for all is currently actively being developed in a separate branch and is not expected to make it into Kodi mainline tree until version 15 at the earliest.

Under active development is also "RetroPlayer" video game console emulator (ROMs) interface supporting the libretro API and emulator cores (from the RetroArch project, which is its reference front-end). Libretro itself is a modular multi-system game/emulator system that is designed to be fast, lightweight, and portable.

This RetroPlayer can via libretro emulator API support emulators for most popular retro game consoles, including but not exclusively; Atari 2600, Atari Lynx, Atari Jaguar, Nintendo Entertainment System, Super NES, Nintendo 64, Game Boy, the original PlayStation, Sega systems (Master System, Genesis, Sega CD, Game Gear), plus multiple arcade games via MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) and FBA (Final Burn Alpha), as well as ScummVM and MS-DOS based games.
Since Kodi is now on version 16, does it include the 'RetroPlayer?'

I have a new Raspberry Pi, and being able to lump everything (video, music, games) in one system would make things easier.

TIA!

p.s. I have been unable to get [Quotes] to close. Whenever I do the
after the text I want to include in the quote, it includes all of the text beyond the
. Very annoying.

In addition to the update/update/update/update/update/can't update/can't update/update/update thing with Titanium, it also prompts me to install a new update for it, but when I do, it crashes. When I cancel, it seems to work, but it's annoying.

Is Titanium still considered the best build for Kodi or is there another one you guys prefer nowadays?

Note: Using gaming PC for it hooked up to living room TV
