I installed the latest Kodi and instead of reloading Titanium, I went barebones, only adding 123movies and Exodus. Runs like a dream and 123movies is pretty sweet.
those add-ons arnt included with kodiI just did 16.5 or whatever. Do I need to upgrade?? I don't see 123movie.
What means this?Exodus dev Lambda wrote code into Exodus for all boxes running Exodus to DDoS his developer enemies.

Updates to the latest version of Exodus make execution of this code optional, but this is very bad.
https://forums.tvaddons.ag/lambda-s-xbmc-addons/41161-exodus-add-152.htmlWhat means this?
I see it's optional in the latest version....so how do I turn it off? And why should I care?https://forums.tvaddons.ag/lambda-s-xbmc-addons/41161-exodus-add-152.html
Lambda (developer of Exodus) had a beef with another developer who he is implicating copied his work on Exodus. To attack this person, every time you try to play a video in Exodus it executes code Lambda wrote into Exodus to mass attack (with volume, eg. everyone worldwide using Exodus) the website of his nemesis.
It's a reeeeeally bad precedent.
I'm going to find out when I get home from work. But, extrapolating this out, I don't want to be in the middle of a war amongst developers with my devices running their code that I have 0 control over what it does or is going to do. That's why I said really bad precedent, #1 addon anyone with Kodi uses, the ante starts getting upped. What's the retaliation? Who knows, I certainly don't, but I don't like reading this at all.I see it's optional in the latest version....so how do I turn it off? And why should I care?
What else is out there that is comparable?yea, I'm not down with that crap either. Boycotting exodous
SALTS, 123 movies, channel1?What else is out there that is comparable?
Thanks for the summary of this page's discussion.two things:
Google play store is forcing all kodi to update to version 17
so if you had a v16 build its probably broken
second:
one of the developers of the popular Exodus add-on hid code inside its 3.04 update which pretty much turned users into a DDOS Botnet.
Apparently a group went after this one developer trying to give him legal troubles so he went rogue and every time someone uses an exodus link it will try to connect to that groups website 30-40 times. multiply that by all the people using exodus at once

it was removed from the exodus 3.05 update. the coast is clearBummer - Exodus was good. I guess it's back to 1channel, and I'll have to check out 123Movies. Does it have TV shows also? I tend to watch a lot more shows than movies.
Right it works now, but if Lambda is really retiring and no longer updates Exodus for scraping purposes, it will fade into the darkness in the same way Genesis did, which was also developed by Lambda. Slowly but surely the links will stop working. I'm just going to evaluate alternatives in the meantime in parallel, but starting to evaluate new add-ons is probably a good idea.it was removed from the exodus 3.05 update. the coast is clear

one of these dudeswho names their kid lambda?
Intuitive? That takes all the fun out of it.I decided to force the update of Kodi to 17 (i.e. Krypton) last night rather than wait for it to update automatically. Without going into a lot of detail I like it a lot. The layout is different but is pretty intuitive and I didn't have any problems navigating. I think it's a better interface than 16 and at least for the time being not going to install a skin (i.e. Titanium).
Maybe it was just me and it'll be very confusing for you.Intuitive? That takes all the fun out of it.![]()
I had a hard time getting this loaded. I gave up.All you really need is Ultimate Whitecream anyway.
I just installed this on my computer (Jarvis) to test. It does look good, and very complete. Not sure I like having all these various packages installed, because I won't use them, but for somebody new too kodi it is pretty neat.Husham has a new build he says is the best, works on Kodi 16 and 17. Check it out!!
I've got a fire tv and kodi 16 titanium installed. This looks cool and easy to use. If I wanted to switch to this Should I go back to factory settings? Also if I don't go this route which skin (I'm just running the default.). seems easiest/best to use for family room viewing i.e. Wife and kids controlling it.I just installed this on my computer (Jarvis) to test. I have yet to check the live tv section, but it is looking good so far. My idea is to put the family version on a firestick for the family room.
If you're wanting to install Kodi 17 just delete the Kodi 16 app from the fire tv first then reinstall.I've got a fire tv and kodi 16 titanium installed. This looks cool and easy to use. It's probably better off this way. I've always liked tvaddons' work, their guides are what I followed when learning all this stuff.“The actions taken were inexcusable,” TV Addons’ Eleazar informed us. When they found out about the code, the developer’s repository was locked and they stress that “this situation is not being taken lightly.”
TV Addons has previously published a malicious code policy and says it takes an active stance against this type of abuse. As such, the team has taken it upon themselves to continue the development of Exodus, with Lambda’s approval.
“Moving forward, his addons will be maintained by another member of our team. TV ADDONS stands for the end user first, integrity is of our utmost concern,” Eleazar notes.
As for Lambda himself, he plans to continue his work on other projects.
“I want to thank everybody who stood by me all these years. It’s time for me to move on and I hope the team to take over my beloved addon. Take care everybody,” he concludes.

can you boot from device in cmosTony, you seem like a guy on the cutting edge of tech. I'm having an issue installing windows 7 on a new computer build with an m.2 (nvme) drive. Might you have any insight? Thanks!
There is nothing to boot to, as nothing is on it (if I'm understanding your question). I can see the drive in the BIOS, but windows 7 doesn't see it when attempting to install via disc (or usb, which I taught myself about recently, but apparently poorly). I think what I need to do is alter the windows 7 .iso (install file) with updates and drivers and such so it knows to see it as a viable place to install windows to - but it's the implementation of that which is stumping me as nothing seems to work.can you boot from device in cmos

I've read that I can install to another drive, get everything up and running and then "clone" the drive to the m.2 drive - but I've never cloned a drive like that before, and the two drives would be different sizes which I know can cause issues.
