Titianium build doesnt auto update everything?
Not everything until you update the build.  For example you'll get the latest sportsdevil (that doesn't auto update) only when you install the next Titanium update.  Titanium does an update usually once a month.  Most addons including Exodus auto update though.

So what do I need to do to update my build and/or Kodi?  I am on a raspberry pi 3.

Watched live hockey tonight on Sportsdevil. Flawless feed. Always had issues before upgrading to Kodi 17.1.

Also installed Zen, gonna play around with that a bit and see if I like it better than Exodus.

i've barely scratched the surface, but the shows offered up seem to be deeper than any of the other add ons i've seen thus far.

perusing Disney last night for my daughter, and i'll be damned if every freakin' show that network ever produced isn't up on there - they even have the old 'Wonderful World of Disney' episodes from way back when i was a kid (Sunday nights at 7) - much more than Exodus.

feeds have been superb - crisp and buffer free.  might be all one needs for TV purposes

So I just need to pay $20 for 6 months and authorize Real-Debrid in Exodus and my streams will be mostly HD?

Feels like a no brainer.

I set it up in both Kodi and Exodus.  Not sure if both is needed.

Also, the benefit isn't necessarily more HD feeds, it's better speed and streaming.  I've had no buffering or stuttering issues using Realdebrid streams.  You're basically paying for good, high bandwidth streams that dont get bogged down and logjammed like the free ones.

from what ive heard real debrid has been throttling users recently
who did you hear that from?  Lambda?  That guy has an ax to grind.  What does throttling even mean in this instance?   I understand what it means in regards to network speed, but if I'm watching a movie, how is it throttled?

lower speeds = buffering so that may be what they meant

or less results when searching for a movie/show

I haven't experienced any at least but I'm not sure if you're talking about only doing that if you reach a certain level of usage just as the network cats do it. Seems like  buffering would be a death sentence so I doubt that but I'll see.   That's the beauty will all these cheap add on services.   If they eventually go to crap, you're not losing much.   I'm currently paying $14 per month for all the movies, tv shows and sports that I desire.  Its ridiculous.

does real debrid offer sports too?

does real debrid offer sports too?
no.   that's what smoothstreams is for.   those are the 2 services i use.  i know smoothstreams is awesome.   i didn't know if realdebrid still had value b/c its all i use so I didn't know the current state of the the out of the box streaming sources.  its only <$4 per month though so its an easy call to just stay with it.

just made the conversion to kodi 17 titanium last night. first install was a fail but second and im good to go.. so far so good not really noticing much of a difference as I wasn't really having any issues with 16. but reading how theyre going to start streaming in https & SSL its time to abandon kodi 16

I'm only interested in TV shows and Movies... Right now Exodus for the most part is doing the trick - would I need anything besides Real Debrid to ensure my best streaming experience?

I've heard the same thing.  Upgrading this weekend.

I know next to nothing about this stuff and reading the last few pages made it even worse. I'm looking at getting a DroidBox this summer after my DTV contract runs out. Is there a FAQ or Dummies guide somewhere in thread? Am I better off looking in the "We cut the cord" thread? TIA

Didn't know this was happening. I'll upgrade soon.

Any thoughts on No LImits vs Titanium on Krypton? Best online writeups for either on a firestick?
i used no limits for a little on the firestick. its clean and quick . very basic. titanium has a bit more addons but also clean. for a firestick the smaller the build is probably better

if you plan on using it as your main streaming box go with a firetv . if you are also into gaming go with the nvidia shield

Pro Sport - live stream of the 4 majors (only) - all local feeds -  checking it out right now, just saw Jimmy Hewitt get inducted into Orlando Magic HoF

local flava, ya know?

Just added Real Debrid for $16 Euros.

Was having issues watching Shameless in regular HD, currently streaming in flawless 1080p on first try.

1/1, very positive initial review.

RE: HD movies of new releases.  I assume if its on the internet it'll be up on kodi.

Is Exodus everyone's first choice for TV/Movies?

I assume this is the best program available?

In my first two weeks with this thing, I've saved at least $150 on Apple TV stuff.

my only expenses for everything. Basically ever made is $16 euros (debrid), $7 a month (IPVanish), $180 for gaming Fire TV.

feels like an Amazing purchase!

This may not be kodi, but how do you download/record slingtv shows?  I've seen references to utilizing playstation vue, but I don't have one.

Also, how do you use kodi to record OTA shows?

Sling-all channels $40/month

HBO-$15/month

Hulu-$8/month

Showtime-$9/month

$72/month

I'm not all that interested in watching organized team activities, TBH.

In all seriousness, you can prob drop all of those payments, get a basic cable package for live TV for like $30-$40 and then set up Kodi. If something is on the TV, it'll be on Kodi very shortly after. I was watching Shameless last night in flawless 1080p, DirecTV only gives it to me in 720p - I can't believe I'm getting better quality than from my cable provider.

I also can't believe I haven't owned this thing longer.

  I personally like No Limits better for a bunch of reasons I posted several pages back, and they have a slimmed down version specifically for the firestick.

A a lot of the streaming sites are moving to http streams that Kodi 16 does not support.  Both of these things result in links that wont work.  Suggest everyone update to Kodi v17.1 and Exodus v3.1.5 (v3.1.6 would be better if it came out last night or today) or later.

Link for the first bold.  If you want to download it tosave it as a file you will have to use screen capturing software, there are a few out there.

Link for second bold.

If my build is no limits, how do I check which Exodus version I have?
Not in front of a kodi device right now, but, that info should show up somewhere under settings.  Maybe settings/addons/exodus/about?  There is also an addon in the kodi repository called Version Check.  However, as long as you have kodi set for automatic updates you should be fine by now.

ETA: you were spending $300 on month on apple tv stuff?  holly crap.

The funny thing for me back in the day when is I bought a ATV3 assuming it would be jailbroken at some point to run XBMC on.  That never happened.  Solid paperweight IMO.

I have links to one in the cut the cable thread, but, it's a little bit out of date.  And it's a lot easier now anyway to get everything installed right anyway.  Just browse to the kodi website, download and install.  If you are using a fire device you can use an app called downloader to point it to the URL for the download and install (since the fire devices don't have a browser).  Then install a build like No Limits, for example.  The process is the same shown in that video for whichever build you choose, just use the correct URL.

Note: When installing builds on fire devices after it downloads and extracts unplug the device to restart, don't close kodi.  If you decide you want to install a different build always Fresh Start kodi first.  A lot of the builds will have the fresh start addon already installed under the maintenance or update tabs, I just linked the video there so you would know how to go get it if its not already installed.

Man I'm clueless with this thing. How do I upgrade kodi?
If you're not using a build just download and install Krypton right over the top of kodi 16, it will save all your settings.  If you're using a build I recommend uninstalling kodi all together and starting fresh because builds are not compatible between 16 and 17.

A build?  Lol.  A client gave it to me with kodi downloaded on it. The thing is registered to him.  He said, "you're all set".  I watched some stuff. Now it doesn't work very well. I'm lost.  Sorry to be a pain.
