Official ** KODI ** streaming thread (tips, help, add ons, etc) (3 Viewers)

I've upgraded kodi. It's blank?  Now I have to add a build?
What do you mean its blank? I have basic Kodi with no build. Its just stock Kodi with Exodus, Zen, and Sportsdevil add-ons. Thats it. You dont have to add a build.

One thing I've never understood is what exactly a build provides to Kodi other than adding a ton of addons in one go.  I originally had Titanium which added about 20 addons or so, but quickly realized I only used 3 or 4 of them.  When I updated, I installed the addons I use individually.  What else does a build actually do?

Auto-updating, auto-packet-purging, and an interface that my family finds easier to use.

with the updated Kodi,I can't seem to find away to store favorites on Exodus.I was able to do it on the old set up is there a way on the updated version?

Still couldn't get exodus to load. After a number of youtube videos trying to fix the issue, I found a video about Ares wizard. Never heard of it. It basically makes adding builds or individual add-ons a breeze. I recommend.

Also, exodus is still not working but 123movies is.

I take back what I said. I can't figure out how to access an add-on after installing through Ares. Also can't get exodus to download or anything else to work on 17.1

I don't want a build, just the ability to use my old add-ons. Can't get Zen to work either.

It is giving me a dependency error when I try to load from a repo. If I try to load from Ares it just doesn't show up anywhere.

I have tried fixes for the dependency error for the last few hours. Fat lot of nothing.
Imo start from scratch. Clear kodi and put on your source without using ares wizard. That thing is a pos never cared for it

Ugh. I installed Titanium, and  it made my stick pretty much useless. Slow, nothing would stream smooth, all kinds of lagging and freezing...tried to uninstall titanium with Fresh Start...first I had to download fresh start because it wasnt there...so I did the fresh start thing and then when I tried to reinstall Exodus I got that stupid dependency error...so, I just factory wiped my stick and am starting from scratch. What a pain in the ###. No more buids for me form here on out, Ill stick with stock Kodi

If you just want some of the best addons, and no build, I'd use the fusion installer. It has most of the best ones.

Still getting the dependency error when trying to install Exodus. Well what the ####. I should have never messed with it. :wall:

So after I got the error, I noticed Indigo was installed in my add ons section. I clicked it, and went to the addon installer and clicked Exodus. It installed the metedata files I was missing and Exodus is now installed and running. fine.

Now Im getting a different dependency error when I try to install Zen.

F it, Im rolling with exodus and nothing else. This crap just got all humped up and Google is no help at all.  Everything was fine until I messed with stupid Titanium.

Looks like you tried to fresh start, did you unplug the firestick after?  If you're having discrepancies the best thing to do is start all over. Uninstall Kodi altogether, reinstall and then install from zip whichever addons you want. I suggested using fusion installer a couple of posts back. I'd be glad to walk you through it.

Anytime you switch builds , or uninstall a build always unplug fire devices after each install/uninstall.  That's the #1 cause of discrepancies because that's the only way the fire writes over the existing files.

I just did a fresh install of Kodi. I did a factory reset on my stick, installed Kodi 17, and have been having problems since. I unplugged it and restarted it twice since then.

Did you notice the Kodi site is down with a seizure notice? Speculation is they were hacked or its an April fools joke...but I cant connect to my Kodi repository right now, and it looks like everything of theirs is offline at the moment.

Yeah I installed Fusion with no problems...the problem came when I tried to install Exodus, but Indigo handled it. Zen, otoh, is still giving me fits. Im also getting a Sportsdevil error when I fire up Kodi, but it seems to be working fine.

Also, If I try to install anything from the Kodi repository, Im still getting the "could not connect to repository" error...however, SuperRepo and TVADDONS repositories are connecting and working fine.

everything is not  ZEN for me atm, still no access ... btw, i find Sportsdevil to be straight garbage, the Pro Sports addon through INDIGO/TVADDONS gives great live 'home' feeds to the four majors.

I may be speaking too soon but the guide at tvaddons seems to have done the trick.
be advised that TVADDONS config is not supporting ZEN or Specto Fork - they vanished after my refresh on Indigo

gonna try Fusion in a bit to see if that remedies, if not, im'ma reboot to factory set

FINALLY got everything working again, including Zen. I did another Stick factory reset, and installed the ARMV7A (32bit) version of Kodi 17 (vs the play store version) directly from the Kodi.tv page, then did the fusion install, then added Exodus and Sportsdevil using Fusion installer, then manually installed Zen via the noonbsandnerds.com/portal source, and it installed all the dependencies.

Now I just gotta redo my favorites and Ill be all set. I seem to remember installing the ARM version originally, which Ive never had a problem with. When I wiped and reinstalled last night, I used the Google Play version, and that seemed to give me the problems. Im not sure if thats what the problem was, but this version is working perfectly and letting me install everything without a hitch.

so yea, my exodus icon is gone.  I went to reinstall it and it said it was updated but there's still no icon for it.  how can i even uninstall it if i can't see it in the first place ?

Is this the old cut the cable thread? Probably just as good place to ask if not...

CBS is the only over the air channel that broadcasts in Spanish. All the commercials are English, it's just the commentary.

my tv doesn't have SAP.

All my settings are set to English.

I rescanned my channel several times and every time same thing.

Every TV in the house has an over the air antenna and this is the only one like this.

Help. Please.

Have you tried setting that channel to SAP? Maybe the feeds got crossed.
