I am still on 16 on my Raspberry Pi. No issues watching Rogue One last night.
my GF's brother put HardNox on her FireTV... seems better than Titanium. Has all the add-ons people have been talking about lately; Bob, Zen, 24242415 or w/e... but also has a super easy section for emulators/roms. Just assigned buttons to the remote and turned it sideways.

Looks like SmoothStreams finally got their recording feature working. Recorded the UFC event last night. Just watch the DC fight. It worked flawlessly. This was something that I've been wanting for awhile.

Complete fail right now, everything taking forever to buffer. Real debrid real disappointing.

Some troubleshooting leads me to the real problem, IPVanish. I disconnected and everything is flawless. For the most expensive VPN service, pretty disappointing.

@Osaurus - be advised that it came with zero instructions, save for the install (freakin' breeze) and the Qwerty board (a bit ticky tack and flimsy, but gets the job done).
but it is literally plug n' play ... within 5 minutes of delivery (prompt same day) i was streaming live feed from Mobdro (comes pre-installed, along with a host of other useful apps) - and then i dove into Kodi - found all the addons/repos with no problem, and was good to go. has been a game changer for me, big thumbs up and vouch.
ps - got mine in early March, with Jarvis preloaded ... still running it w/realdeb - smooth as can be.

you'll be up in less than a minute (matter of hooking ethernet or HDMI) - both cords are relatively short, but i have the box juxtaposed to my router, so the length (or lack thereof) wasn't a concern. comes with a standard remote as well, best i've ever used.
box itself is blazing fast, responsive, idiot proof interface - if you choose to go this route you'll be quite pleased.
curious to see if they are peddling 17.1 now - but, as for now, my Jarvis is doing all i need.

I'm starting to get some issues on my Raspberry Pi 3. Couldn't find any movies during a search and error messages when attempting to run updates in the background. Going to wipe the card and fresh install tonight. I assume Titanium is still the go to on top of the latest OSMC base?

I still have Titanium on my main PC, but I'm going on vacation tomorrow and am taking my laptop with me, so I put Kodi on it this afternoon and decided to give Wookie a spin. It's great! Love the graphics and layout, including that Exodus has its own tab.

No idea. If you don't see this logo when you reboot, you're probably not running osmc. When you got your raspberry pi, did you install an os or did you get one with os already on the sd card? The sd card that came with my raspberry pi kit just had this program called noobs on it which allowed me to install an os. I chose osmc since all I wanted was kodi and that's essentially a self updating kodi os.

OSMC. I just went ahead last night and erased everything from the sd card, reinstalled a fresh and latest version of OSMC, and then titanium on top of that. Took me ~10-15 minutes while watching Jeopardy.

Ok, so you still install titanium as well. I wonder if that messes with the self updating nature of osmc.

Figured out my Matricom Q was limited on Android upgrades (firmware based) so looks like I am moving away from these all together. Finally put Kodi 16 on it, but that's as far as I can go. I'll move it into the other room and new ABOX should be here shortly with Android 6+ (Marshmallow)

Very well could be. I seem to have to wipe the card and reinstall OSMC and then titanium on top of it every 3-4 months. Like I said it takes 10-15 minutes so it's not that big of a deal.

I'm using this and very happy with the performance Neo U1.
No experience with the Element Ti8 but this came out after I bought the Neo U1 and looks pretty good.

What build of Kodi are you on? Don't know if you saw this post a few pages back but if you're still on v16 that could very well be the reason you are getting errors and searches that don't return viable links.matttyl said:

I've been enjoying both of mine. I also enjoy the tinkering aspect, and when the kodi on them becomes obsolete, they can do any number of other things.

i've been out of town since i last asked any questions. going to install a build on my firestick. all i have done to this point is upgrade to 17. is there a consensus on what the best build is yet?

IPVanish. The in-Kodi update linked somewhere in the last couple of pages also has an IPVanish setup. Going to try that.

Prob depends on how you're using it, I can speak to my experience. I've got DirecTV, Kodi is secondary for me (but it's basically my primary lately bc it is amazing).
I'm on nolimits - for navigating TV shows and movies, it's so easy & I really like it. I'd recommend, but others with different builds can speak to their experiences.
I've got IPVanish, $7 a month - it leaves me with no worries and well worth it.
Learned a lesson while troubleshooting recently - if you're on a VPN and the streams start buffering a lot, changing the server should be your first step. It's also best to pick a closer location.

read a ton of pros and cons on this VPN thingy ... i have opted not to, thus far.
best case - hides IP from provider to prevent throttling/shutdown (few and far between measure by providers, but it has happened).
worst case - causes stutter/buffering ... we get enough of that on occasion for me to weigh my decision as per that complaint.
that being said, you can bet yer sweet #### that the minute i suspect any monkey shines from my cable/innerwebz overlords, i sure as hell will install

Curious as to what you've watched with Pro Sports and your success. I ask because I installed last night with the intent of watching baseball but couldn't find any viable links. The NBA however seemed pretty good.
For anyone else out there...if you've found an add on that works with high success for MLB I'd be interested.

same issues. couldn't find jack on pro sports for baseball . every other sport works fine. had to go into sportsdevil and watch some choppy Russian stream

had it humming on Monday (Yankees home opener, and switched about) - had very few issues, outside of a not too frequent buffer. was getting clear streams on my Mobdro, as well
running Jarvis 16.1 on a Droid box, no VPN.
