Not that I know of.Is there a cheat sheet of Add Ons specifically for Krypton somewhere
We're in the golden age of television. Enjoy it while it lasts. Sports will always be there (guys will be getting paid a lot less once the huge tv contracts dry up), but I think you'll see a noticeable reduction in the quality and quantity of tv shows if the pace of defections to illegal sources is maintained.Sorry of this has been discussed over and over but...
What do you think the ramifications of every body essentially stealing programming are going to have on the entertainment industry?
I mean if the cable companies all go under and nobody's paying the networks money to produce programming, how long can this really last?
yesWhat are you connecting from the PC to the switch with? your PC has an HDMI jack?
Have IPVanish too. Had an initial test, but login failed for some reason on Firestick. Gonna try to get back to it this weekend and will post results.I've got IPVanish, works great - $7 a month along with Real-Debrid for $2.50 a month. Possibly the best money I can spend.
Private Internet Access for $32 a year. No issues.Did anyone set up a VPN? If so, what are you using?
I always uninstall the current build I have if I upgrade. Much cleaner process and Ive never had any issues taking that exta step...This is especially true if you are speaking of doing this on a Firestick. Very small harddrive that fills up very fast (thats why you should always do regular maintenance of purging files and cleaning the cache as well). Help eliminate issues like buffering, etc.how do you change to a new build? I have an older build, but would like to switch to Titanium or one of the other newer builds. Do I uninstall Kodi and use one of the "new installation" youtube vids, or can I convert without uninstalling?
Exodus is an add on. That is NOT considered a build. A build is a version of Kodi that likely already has a lot of add ons built in already.Trying to simplify some things in my mind because I still don't totally grasp this.
Exodus is an "add-on"? Is this also considered a "build", or Exodus is one part of a larger "build?
Titanium is a peer to Exodus? If you have one, no need for the other?
Don't own a stick (have an android box) but I don't know why you couldn't run without a build. My first foray into this I used Morpheus and Titanium because it was nice to simply have a bunch of add ons packaged up and ready for use. Over time I realized most was bloat and which add ons were my go to. I now just use plain vanilla Krypton with Exodus, Sports Devil, ProSports & SALTS (with about 90% Exodus and 10% for the other 3).anybody running this on a stick WITHOUT a build? just DL'ing whichever addons you want? easier to manage without all the bloat from a build?

The packages are nice way to cut your teeth but IMO have too much BS. Loving the plain stripped down Krypton.

just going from memory here, but I think it's the Home page (for the stick itself), then Manage installed apps, then find Kodi and select UninstallHow do you do that on the firestick?

Awesome.List of Popular Add-ons and how to install each.
Leaves all the bloat from "builds" off my Android device.
Yeah, I uploaded that build this weekend and it sucks. I'll be uninstalling and just adding my own menus and add-ons. Only need four menus anyway (movies, tv, kids, sports)Just updated my my no limits build... in really hoping its just taking time to fully update, bc the product I have now is a huge ####### downgrade
Total n00b here just flirting with this stuff. Haven't fully cut the cord yet but I just bought a DroidBox. It has dual OS/partition, with Android on one side and LibreElec on the other. Sorry for quoting this post so far out but it's the only LE post really in this thread. Do you have any thoughts on it? Am I correct in my understanding that the LE side would probably run a little cleaner/faster? IIRC the Android side has Kodi 17 but the LE side has 16. I know I would need to update that side but I'm curious what (dis)advantages there might be. I'm not even sure what I'm asking. If you, or anyone else for that matter, have any insight it would be greatly appreciated.those of u trying that update for OpenElec (which I have not watched yet), OpenElec seems to be dead. The devs who created OpenElec joined another group and now they develop LibreElec, which isn't technically a direct update to OpenElec but looks and behaves almost the same. I did a reinstall on an old Pi1 device with this new LibreElec and it seems to be faster even on the old device.
Another thing i didn't realize since I don't pay much attention, not updating to Kodi 17.1 will keep u from seeing all HD sources. Apparently the hosts for HD sources all switched to a https protocol and older versions of Kodi cannot handle https streams. there was a notice on my old Kodi build from the addon forum guys. i think u only get that notice if u're using their installer, so in case anyone was not aware.
after the rebuilt to LibreElec and upgrade to 17.1, i swear the streams are faster and much more stable. it could just be my imagination.
Which DroidBox did you get? I got this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06WWD8THK/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 How much storage do you use with your add ons/build? This one has 32GB which I figured would be enough (though I can add a 2TB drive).i ordered me a preloaded box a couple months ago and it has been flawless - plenty of other useful apps pre-installed on that mutha as well (Mobdro most notably) - 'droid box, so full access to Google play, my Spotify, etc.
cost me 20 more bux than the fire stick, and updates/refreshes itself automatically - idiot proof ####### GOLD.
to the purists out there, i salute you - and dig your dedication to the pure Kodi experience![]()
but i totally cut the cord, and this box is saving me so much coin. love.
i picked up This Unit and have had zero issues thus far with it's performance - fast as all hell, awesome interface, plug n' play - was up and running live TV/Kodi, etc within 5 minutes of the item being delivered. everything pre-loaded and ready to go upon attaching HDMI in/out. idiot proof.Which DroidBox did you get? which router are you usingOverall, I love this thing.
But I've noticed that it has to be very close to the internet source (router, etc) to work at an optimal level. Because of this I just use my iPhone as a hot spot and connect my firestick to the cellular network. It's too far away from my internet router to work properly. It connects to it, but the status is always "connected with problems."
There's really no way of me moving my router closer.
It's a netgear, not sure which model number. It's a few years old.which router are you using
how far is the router to firestick? maybe get a network extender or if its an outdated router upgrade it.It's a netgear, not sure which model number. It's a few years old.
Probably still the easiest way to install basic kodi with just a few addons is by following the guides from tvaddons.ag. Find the guide that shows you how to add the fusion installer and you will have a choice of what addons to add by going to programs>fusion installer. The fusion repo has most of the main addons like Exodus. One glaring exceptions is sportdevil. You will have to find, add and update that separately if you want it.anybody running this on a stick WITHOUT a build? just DL'ing whichever addons you want? easier to manage without all the bloat from a build?
Fresh Start Kodi, you don't have to completely remove and install if you don't want to. It is recommended that you at least Fresh Start each time you install a new build because builds will conflict with each other.how do you change to a new build? I have an older build, but would like to switch to Titanium or one of the other newer builds. Look for a VGA to HDMI or DVI to HDMI adapter on Amazon, < $10.What are you connecting from the PC to the switch with? your PC has an HDMI jack?

hard wired? I'd contact Amazon and complain.I am about to throw our fire tv away. 45 minutes or more to start any movie, 25 to start any show. Every speed test reads like this.
Last Result:
Download Speed: 89838 kbps (11229.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 12173 kbps (1521.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 12 ms
Jitter: 17 ms
I wiped the fire box clean and started from scratch, it took over an hour for the remote to sync up. I started to download kodi and got threw that. I tried to add fusion and now it is just stuck won't download anything, I can hit the home button and go home but every time I try to go back into kodi the screen is just locked on fusion download, even when I restart the fire box. I would love some help if anyone could.
Not sure, I just started having this problem last week. It was great since we got the box right after Christmas, hard wired? I'd contact Amazon and complain.
you connected over wifi or with an ethernet cable. Troubleshoot with a cable if over air.Not sure, I just started having this problem last week. It was great since we got the box right after Christmas,
Go to settings/applications/kodi. There should be a force stop option there. Unplug and then try again.I am about to throw our fire tv away. 45 minutes or more to start any movie, 25 to start any show. Every speed test reads like this.

I think it's something with the box... took over an hr for the remote to synch? He said he wiped the whole thing before reinstalling Kodi from scratchThere should also be a clear data option. That would wipe the fusion install off, as it sounds like something night have gone wrong there. And you could try reinstalling that again. Always unplug after installing something instead of and prior to closing kodi with Android devices.
Ms. But yeah, if problems like the remote sync continue return to amazon for a new one. That isn't normal. Just don't mention kodi to them.I think it's something with the box... took over an hr for the remote to synch? He said he wiped the whole thing before reinstalling Kodi from scratch
updates?I've been a "I'll be the guinea pig" user of 1-month IPTV service providers for awhile now. Currently using FabIPTV, which has a nice list of channels and uses the Perfect Player apk that you can sideload where you don't have to use Kodi, hit it straight from the Fire TV menu. It's about $10 a month and has everything but adult channels, which I'm definitely fine with for live TV. Quality says 720p but eyeball test wise is a little scaled down, but good for the price. Large list of UK and US channels and the PP EPG is, which I care about to replicate the live TV pay experience. Can pause as well.
I will always keep SmoothStreams TV, which is the gold standard for sports coverage. Can't recommend to you guys right now because they are going through upgrades and most channels are in SD while they bridge to all 720p HD and dedicated non-sports channels, which they override currently for sports. Been around forever and very good at users/stream management, where alot of competitor IPTV services oversell and buffering enters the picture, never an issue over there so I'll throw up the bat signal for them once they're done their upgrade work.
Will give the one you guys are outlining above a shot, always looking for a better option here.
Highly recommend this sub-reddit on the IPTV topic, tons of good info and the grid they maintain with stats on all IPTV providers and user commentary is absolutely fantastic: https://www.reddit.com/r/IPTV/comments/560nyo/collaboration_list_of_iptv_providers_their/?st=izu0rxm1&sh=4361834c
God I'm such a loser. I'm sorry but I'm going to be here asking dumb questions for a while.big ups to the Fusion repochock full of add on goodies - one can be as spartan, or ostentatious, as they wish - can pretty much tailor your Kodi gig around it.
and, if not already mentioned, ARES Wizard is no slouch, either - that also features builds, maintenance, speed tests, etc.
