Those using Limitless..theyve revamped some of the channel groups...they now have a US local section with tons of the big 4 networks and they're listed by city...there are 30+ ABC, 100+ CBS, 50+ FOX, and 20+ NBC channels. The only drawback is there is no guide info for them, and of the 20 or so I've tried, maybe 10% of them were offline at the time. Limitless view:

Also, the NFL section is now correct in the listings and every game I tried today played flawlessly as well as RZ.

You dont need Kodi to stream NFL games or RedZone.

If you have an Andorid phone and are using a Fire TV device, you can mirror your phone screen to your TV...just stream RedZone (or any NFL game) from https://www.reddit.com/r/nflstreams/ in your phones browser  and cast the screen to your TV (you have to enable mirroring in Fire TV Settings > Display & Sounds > Enable Display Mirroring), then in the pull down menu on your phone, select Mirroring (or Smart view on nougat), and viola.

OR, if you have a Chromecast, just cast the Reddit stream from a laptop or cell phone to your TV that way.

OR, just connect a computer to your TV via HDMI and stream  from Reddit.

ETA: When using the Reddit streams, youll have to X out the ad overlay(s) to get the unobstructed view. Then you can usually tap the full screen icon and youre good to go.

get MOBDRO up on your gig, i get all my local NYC (2,4,5,7,9,11) channels via that method.

No VPN. I tried it for a month and I didn't really like it. I've got a fire TV box now, but I decided to live dangerously and not worry about it.

that latest update was buttah - man, so sleek and streamlined now - was a bit clunky prior to, but the UI is now a freakin' dream. 

the quality of the streams is also fantastic - "Bob's Burgers" gotta be coming in at 1080, and keeping "Curb" on loop some days yields consistent 720 feeds.  

top to bottom, it's been as big a game changer as Kodi.

Holy christ Kodi 17.5 on a Fire TV box is scary fast. Initial bootup takes less than 2 seconds now.

So based on this, I'm going to do a full re-install this weekend.  Can anybody recommend the best build out there right now?  I'm not worried about live TV or sports - literally it's just a movie machine for me.  Currently use Titanium.

Heard this from someone else who updated as well.  I delayed it when the pop-up showed on one my sticks.  I've uninstalled it on one firestick, looks like I'll need to do it on the other.  I'm only using Covenant and Perfect Player (Limitless) now and don't have a need for everything else.

Have to echo @Wingnut on the LL channel updates.  I've noticed their "test" folders carry some of this content as well, before the real folders are established.  It's been fun watching this evolve over the last few months.

Id install Terrarium TV as well as what Big League Chew recommended. Super simple and a great addition to have alongside Kodi for movies and TV shows.

I guess this is what I was getting at for the builds - Is there something that will just auto-update the add-ons I want without having to install all the others?  Isn't the update functionality part of the build?

Each add on has an option for auto update

i don't think there is an alacarte type build but even if there was it'd be a waste of time

We were informed yesterday that two well known Kodi addon developers have been given cease and desist orders by the MPA/MPAA which is the Motion Picture Association. These two people were responsible for the popular Colossus addon repository that includes Covenant and Bennu to name a few. Due to this order, the Colossus repo has been removed.

Another popular Kodi tool known as Ares Wizard has also been taken offline since this news broke. Ares did the same thing earlier this year when TVAddons was shut down and they came back a week later. Hopefully the same thing will happen this time around. Fingers crossed.

What does this mean for you if you use Kodi? We still have options...lots of them. Don't be sad.

chances are you're gonna get prompted to dl this ####show, my advice is DO NOT update at this time.

the 2.0.56 update they pushed through Friday night totally ####ed up the app, as in NO VIDEO (black screen, lucky to get audio if the selection loads), slashed channel offerings, and otherwise general chicanery and monkey shines abound.

if you did update, and are feeling that burn, you need to uninstall the current version, then follow these steps to get you back to 2.0.52

best you can do is gather your most watched feeds and put them in your favorites - this feature was introduced on update 2.02.52, helps declutter, so to speak.  

and, fwiw, a new update is being pushed: 2.02.58, this after their previous attempt (2.02.56) was a ridiculous flop (see my post above) - no way in hell am i attempting this one, i'm just fine where i'm at.

In my experience, your best bet is to uninstall your current version and start fresh with the new version.

To uninstall, if you have a Fire device, go through the Fire menu.  To install the new version, find a guide on Youtube you like, preferably using the method you used the first time you loaded Kodi.

Watched what exactly?  The one game or two at 1pm, then the one game or two at 4pm, shown in your local area that you would see on cable TV anyways, or could you find any game you wanted?  Like the NFL Sunday ticket without having the ticket.
