I bet the ghost of Finless is smiling down on the rebirth of Nate McClouth.
Probably but at this point, I think they are more than likely to push Revere out of the line up at this point. Eventually, it will cut into Brown's time though.Does Delmon coming back cut into D Browns time?
If I were a cameraman manning the home plate camera, I'd quit on the spot. Hate those little bastards.Wow. O's-Angels game delayed for bees.
Hundreds swarmed on the camera behind home plate.
ETA: Nevermind. They are carrying on. Though, bees did delay a HOU game in '09.
weiters is a great defensive cacther too. Chris stewarts arm always impresses meSo which catcher has the best hose these days?
For the longest time, if you said "Pudge Rodriguez" you'd have a good chance of being correct. But I haven't thought about it lately.
I was really impressed with
MLB guys just said that first pitch swings go down and K's go up. Of course correlation doesn't necessarily equal causation but I have to think that is part of it. I hate the taking of the first pitch b/c pitchers are too good and the game plans are too smart to give them a free strike. Not to say you can't or shouldn't go up there very selective almost acting like a 2-0 pitch and sitting on a fastball but getting behind a guy like Kershaw or the old Halladay might as well just go sit down. That is why I hated what Bo Porter was doing earlier.Billy Bats said:Elias sports bureau says there were 5,992 strike outs in the month of April, an all time high for the month of April. And it is the 2nd highest per game strikeout rate in the history of baseball at 15.29, the highest month ever recorded was last September at 15.47.
In comparison, in 2007 there was an average of 13.2 strikeouts per game, 2009 was 13.8 to 15.3 now. Keep on hacking boys!
Seems pretty circumstantial. Looks like the glistening just could have been due to lighting/sweat.Bucholz cheating? MLB network doing a thing now
That is what I thought. But they showed a clip from early in the season where the same glistening appeared and then showed a clip from last year and it wasn't there. He said he is putting water on his forearm, which might be a change from last year and would explain it.Seems pretty circumstantial. What sort of leash does Phil Humber have? He could set all time records for losses for a pitcher that threw a no-hitter.*
He hasn't been that terrible if you throw out that 8 ER in 1/3 IP monstrosity. What sort of leash does Phil Humber have? He could set all time records for losses for a pitcher that threw a no-hitter.*

Just saw Schilling on ESPN pretty much go through 100 different ways to cheat. No way he just "saw" others doing these things and didn't participate. It's baseball, of course he is.Bucholz cheating? MLB network doing a thing now![]()
I think his oblique is sore and it's not his lat.Limp Ditka said:Cueto still feeling soreness in that lat. If the Reds were considering keeping Leake in the rotation, Cingrani owners are getting at least a couple more weeks out of him
@DufresneLATimesJosh Hamilton did not start today but is said to be available for late-inning, pinch-hit strikeout
He just might be done. Bases loaded double followed with another walk. Might not get out of the first. He is going to have to come up with an injury to go down to the minors and figure things out.Halladay walks the bases full of Marlins in the top of the first.

.167 average and .288 slugging percentage coming into the game. I don't see any reason to keep Halladay unless he goes to the DL in leagues that don't have deep benches. 4 BBs, 2 HBP and three extra base hits in 2.33 IP against the worse offense in the NL.Hechavarria with 7 RBI against Halladay in the first 3 innings.
He only hit one batter but he hit him twice. How did he hit 7 batters?
He's on my bench in Cake. So that's pretty awesome.Hechavarria with 7 RBI against Halladay in the first 3 innings.
Have been a huge fan of the doctor but this is sad. No control, hitting batters and no velocity. Hope he works it out.He just might be done. Bases loaded double followed with another walk. It is sad. The guy works as hard as anyone but we'll see how he responds to this. In his first couple starts, he seemed to be blaming others for his lack of success. I could see him get one more start and if it doesn't improve, you can't keep putting him out there. You'd have better success with a journeyman who can at least keep you in the game.Have been a huge fan of the doctor but this is sad. No control, hitting batters and no velocity. Sounds like he should've, said he started feeling it during his April 24th start. Really too bad they didnt have the balls to shut him down if they knew about it, Doc is running his show. I respect that to an extent, but if you're hurt and not helping the team then you should be shut down.Would have been nice if he had gone a week ago!!!
