Saints had the HF, the crowd...the whistles.  Let's not blame a questionable call for this choke. 

 Saints will complain about the non call but the refs bailed them out of the shadow of their own EZ last week on a bogus call against the Eagles  plus there was an Offensive hold in the EZ as well which eventually allowed the TD.

You run the ball three times inside the 20......make the Rams use both timeouts. Run that clock down..kick that FG....Rams get the ball back with under a minute.

Out coached himself. All these coaches today have lost any sense of clock management.

Absolutely mind boggling what he did in the last 2 minutes.....Landry, Shula, Knoll these guys were old school.....and understood clock management. Today...coaches try to look smarter going against the most basic clock management.

agreed. that missed call was atrocious no doubt, but Brees basically gave the ball back to the Rams in OT. no excuse for him to throw that pass on 2nd down. eat it and take the sack and use the next 2 downs

What the refs call and don’t call swings win percentage every week in this league. 

Sometimes it is drastic, like it was today. 

I accepted this years ago and just watch the NFL for entertainment, getting emotionally invested just leads to days like today for Saints fans, where the stripes decided the game as much as the players did. 

I was entertained, hoping for the same in game 2.

I'd love to know how legal that even is. I mean I get bells and all but a whistle is also used by the ref and if someone though the refs whistle blew and it was a fan someone could get seriously hurt. But we all now these dome stadiums the home team pumps crowd noise into the building when home anyway.
