Who wins?

SF reminds me of the Giants a few years back when they got a lower seed but was hot at the right time and ran the table in the playoffs.

Any news on Harvin? Looked like he might be on concussion protocol duty this week.
Except you know... good all year. Giants were 9-7 and had to win the final game to sneak in the playoffs. Niners have won 8 in a row. This is more like the Steelers from 2005. Got hot during the regular season and took it into the playoffs.
Agree with this. I was surprised by the home loss to the Colts, but outside of that, thought they were a top two NFC team all year long. They are exactly were they should be IMO.

if the arm kissing thing is all you've got, then I'm still firmly on the not-a-doosh side. I'm local and this guy does way more with kids and charities than I ever saw Alex Smith do.

To be fair, I'm not entirely certain the media fully documented ALL of the stuff Alex Smith did with little kids.

If the 49ers win it will be by 19-17.

The last time they won in seattle the score was 19-17.

The last time they beat seattle it was 19-17.

And when Pete Carroll made that infamous "choke" gesture with the Jets which eventually came back to haunt him, his team lost… you guessed it… 19-17.

So was the whole point of this post to re-point out that moment from 1992? I wonder how far back we would need to go in your life to find something you regret...we all make mistakes.

Gamblers like the 49ers and the points, overwhelmingly at the moment.
I'm not a gambler anymore, but if I were, I'd be all over Seattle. For as well as SF is playing, they aren't finishing drives - 6 FGs and 4 TDs in the playoffs, and they couldn't even finish drives against GB's ####ty D - and good luck turning that around against the Seahawks defense in Seattle. Seattle has owned the #### out of the 49ers up there the last two years, and I'd bet on it happening every time until they prove otherwise.
This - SF not capitalizing in the last two games early in both games could have cost them. GB game they came away with two FGS where they should have punched it in and put the game out of reach. Same yesterday with CAR. If this cant find the endzone more often, they wont win Sunday.

Related:

DEF DRIVE SUCCESS RATE (DSR*):

SEA: .639 (3rd in NFL)

SF: .645 (6th in NFL)

Both defenses are good at stalling offenses.

OFF DRIVE SUCCESS RATE (DSR):

SEA: .690 (14th in NFL)

SF: .652 (23rd in NFL)

Seattle is only marginally better at generating effective offensive drives.

Yes indeed. I remember LOLing at him on sportscenter. Just reliving funny memories and found the scores to be interesting aside. Relax.

Most people saw that Wilson vs. Kaepernick comparison a few months ago, which was obnoxiously biased. It's the intarnet, people.

They need to read this: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/here-s-why-that--colin-kaepernick-is-self-centered-and-russell-wilson-is-not--comparison-is-totally-off-base-182213225.html

I can do without most players' on-field antics, and I have utmost praise for Wilson; he appears to be a zen-calm-quarterback-yoda jedi master on and off the field.

But let's ease up on Kaepernick, he deserves better character praise than he's getting here.

Will Kaep mock Russell's TD celebration if he gets one this weekend?
Calmly toss the ball to the ref and head to the sideline throwing some hi-5s to his linemen?
So...its doubtful Kaep will do that? :)

I do love the class Wilson shows on and off the field.

He and Lynch and Earl Thomas are fun guys to watch on that team for sure.
Exactly.

I'm not the old guy get off my lawn type. Even thought him mocking Cam in context of that game was pretty funny.

If you are going to celebrate with a move make it something good. The bicep kissing thing is awful.

Handing the ball to the ref after a big play and jogging off the field is just a smooth, cool move.

I thought the mocking thing was a bit dumb. I don't mind the bicep kiss thing. Let them celebrate a little. No biggie.

But do always appreciate those who just hand the ball to the ref...always had a ton of respect for Barry Sanders for that kind of thing too.

Yep. I would gladly trade Kap's personality and demeanor for Wilson's in a heartbeat. As a 49ers playmaker and antidote to a lost decade of 49ers football, he's EXCEEDINGLY easy for me to root for. As a bicep-kissing, Cam-mocking, Beats-By-Dre-wearing, timeout-wasting, press-ignoring, Dolphins-hat wearing, Twitter-obsessing, shorts-sagging man-child, it's a little harder sometimes.

Go Niners!

That bicep "kissing" is by far the most 'tarded thing ever by a QB. How does he NOT feel like a dashboard?

Break it down just a bit...he is actually "air-kissing" his own stupid arm(cause his dump ### has a facemask) Does he feel dooshy blowing a kiss to his arm? Probably not. That's why his snap-back hat is swerved and tilted to the side. Posers call him a poser.

Kaep is a grade-a tool. Bottom line. Point blank, period blah blah blah. Any of you SF homers got to admit that he is extremely high on the doosh-bag list...regardless of his talent. Right?

Russell Wilson is an actual person. On top of that, he is a damn good QB and a great leader/role model and a man most fathers wish their son grew up to be.

27 - 17 Seahawks

This thread should set a standard for useless posts from those with less than 500 total padding them even more.

Lynch usually abuses the niners
He's averaged 3.5 yards a carry and has yet to rush for more than 100 yards this year against the 49ers
98 yds and two tds last game. Against the 49ers thats phenomenal. They havent given up 100 yds rusher all year.

Getting even worse now. Somebody is gettin' upset. Got three and counting though.

Hey brah...no anger here. I'm happy you can count to 3 though, big props - you should air kiss your bicep brah. Cause ya know, your post count 'n all, you must be some type of balling ball-et.

Your right though...it IS getting worse. What should u be upset about? I have under 500 post dogg-hippity...brah? Bro? Word? Slice? 3 nothing I guess?

Only thing worse than bicep kissing guy, is "you mad bro/brah?" guy.

^^^^^ Lot's of anger, projection, and confusion here. As well as a ton of homo-eroticism.

...it's schtick.

Maybe I assumed my over the top D-Bag "bro/brah" talk would be taken as sarcasm. I probably tried too hard, sorry. When bagging on Kaepernick I can't help to throw in as many "bro's and brah's" as I can....just Kaep-ing it real brah/bro.

Hey drummer...is that 5 or 4 on your count?

Now it's gone into a full blown obsession.

Hahaha...ok ok, I'm done now.

My apologies.

Hey Drummer, no sweat off our sack ok? Hit the whiskey bottle tonight. Just talkin junk for some fun.

But I still can't help my post count, why hold that against me?

Love the matchup, could not ask for anything more....SEA/SF is an unbelievable NFC title game.
