First shots fired by Carlos Rogers...

''Once we start winning, the first points on the board, that will take all the fans out of it,'' said Rogers, who participated in his first practice after missing the last two playoff games with a strained right hamstring. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/49ers-must-ways-deal-seattle-221504867--nfl.html
Richard Sherman also predicted to "dominate on the way to the Super Bowl". http://mmqb.si.com/2014/01/16/richard-sherman-byron-maxwell-seattle-seahawks-nfc-championship/

I like it. Except for the fact that Rogers knows absolutely nothing if he thinks getting down on the scoreboard is going to take the 12th Man out of the game.

That's awesome. Pretty sure one of the stipulations for winning the tix is you have to yell and scream your ### off!!!

Thanks and I'm definitely pumped. It's been several years since I've been to a game but have been to three playoff games in Seattle including the 2005 NFC Conference Championship game against Carolina and their first playoff game in 83 at the Kingdome against the Broncos. My wife is giving up her chance to go; so me and and the 9 year old son are going. Just like 83, but now I'm the dad. :D

If the environment is anything like the Carolina game, which I have no doubt it will be, you and your son are in for a great day and which will lock him as a Seahawk for life. Very cool.

I presume your mom isn't your wife.

Have a great time, no matter who you are married to!

Even though I'm not a Seattle fan, this is awesome. Some of my best memories are going to 49ers games with my dad. Very cool of your wife to let you take your son.

Love it. Never heard of "the onion" before but I'm impressed that they got a quote from the beast who was just fined 50k because he never talks to the media.

They have a great journalism perspective; unafraid and absolutely truthful.
Can't argue that's not what the world needs more of. We're all insecure, few admit it.

Percy Harvin was just ruled out for this weekend's game. Hopefully we can pull it off and he'll be healthy for the Superbowl.

Not really surprised... What's KJ Wrights status?
He's good to go for this weekend. Personally, I would rather Harvin get healthy and have our defense at full strength for this game.
Yup, I agree, this game is in the bag for the Hawks - He might as well rest up for the Super Bowl.

You sure about that? I think the defense has played just fine without Wright, whereas the passing game has struggled mightily lately. Harvin definitely opens things up for the rest of the pass catchers, but if there is one thing Seattle can take advantage of it's the man coverage on Luke Willson by the LB's. That may be a saving grace for a crew that otherwise doesn't get much separation. What else do you foresee them trying to do in the passing game? I was thinking Harvin might bounce back for this one.

 that was odd. There was nothing confusing about his post at all. maybe you have mommy issues?

the 12th Man
Can we all agree you guys stole this #### from A&M By the way? You can't build your identity around something you ripped off from another team, folks...
I'm pretty sure Bud Bundy kissed his biceps on Married With Children.
Equally gay, though I don't think the Niners are riding that quite as hard from a marketing perspective.... The hawks seem to be trying to ingrain the entire identity of the franchise and fan base around this whole concept that's already been done for 50 years (and trademarked) by another team. Hence the lawsuit and Seahawks having to cut Checks to A&M to rent it.

I hope for your sake you don't live in Seattle. It isn't just working, it's massively successful. You can't go into a bank or a grocery store without seeing someone wearing a 12 jersey or hearing "Go Hawks!" (is that phrase equally jolly?). He'll, every Starbucks runs a 12 cent coffee promo on Blue Friday. Great job by this franchise. As a Cowboys fan I'm envious.

I know your just trying to poke the hornets nest, but if you are going to approach this from a marketing perspective, why the hell would you not run with this as a franchise. Frenzied fans = $$$

Is that code for overcompensating since he's batting below the Mendoza line on getting people to take the bait?

Becuase this is roughly the equivalent of the 459,000 lame knockoffs of the milk campaign.... "Got _______?" shows a profound lack of creativity. So does trying to steal (and then paying royalties) for the "12 Man".

I mean, SURELY Seattle's collective creative juices didn't all run down the drain when Cobain made himself a lead smoothie? Amirite?

Is this really the best you guys can do?
