***Official*** NFL Draft Thread 2005 (2 Viewers)

Gruden already had Keyshawn, does he want Edwards too?
I don't understand what this means.
It looks to me that bigger WRs isn't nearly as important to Gruden's offense as speedy WRs. Route running takes precedence over size as well.
Edwards was just drafted by the Browns. I don't get the relevance to Tampa.
Whoops. After three posts, I just realized my typo. I meant Mike Williams when I typed Edwards. Sorry :bag:

NOW it makes sense.

Heres your #1 rookie draft pick.EDIT TO ADD: Why wasnt he invited to the draft? And where are those people who said Rbs would fall into the teens?

Time to eat some crow for all those who ripped mock drafts based on people thinking about fantasy football, and not real football.Five offensive players to start the draft, three RBs in the top five.

First time Gruden has EVER taken a RB in the first round IIRC. Benson has the least competition but the worst offense. Caddy has the best offensive system but is competing with a servicable back.

PLEASE let it be Rogers.
Dynasty Pittman owner?
I can't see the Bucs taking Rogers. They have so many other needs and Chris Simms isn't so bad that they need a QB that may or may not be better than him.It just has to be C Williams or M. Williams here.
Nope...just want someone to burn a pick on Rogers before Carolina is up.

I guess all this talk of the Vikings possibly taking a RB is out now. Hello Mike Williams?

6)Rolle

7)Williams
Well, I'd be a bit surprised if Norm Chow lets Mike Williams slip. And if he does, I'd say that's a pretty poor reflection of him to boot.

Norm Chow isn't the GM though, and they need a CB badly.

####...Someone please get Rogers off the board.
No kidding - We don't want Foxy taking Rogers at pick #14. Ugh! He wouldn't do that would he?He's in NY too isn't he...?

Green Room getting lonely?

Care to explain. You're a Panthers fan, so I don't see where you're coming from.
Very much hoping this comes true...
Code:
14. CAROLINANeeds: OT, WR, LB, QB Mike Williams, WR, Southern Cal Comment: The Panthers lost their possession receiver and goal-line force when Muhsin Muhammad left for the Bears in free agency. Williams is a TD maker with 30 in his two years in college. A lack of speed kept him out of the top 10.

If he does, I'm going into hibernation.

The consensus is Rolle for the Titans.Any chance they grab Rodgers here?Or are they confident Volek can step in

They'll go Mike Williams. If they go CB, it wont be Rolle.

Can't imagine Rodgers is anywhere near the top of the board.

Rood,

I think we are the only 2 to have nailed the top 5 in the U of HE NFL draft contest.

 :goodposting:
Our next 2 are the same as well, difference is I have Rodgers giong to Zona at 8, you have Pac man.We may be neck and neck the whole 1st round.

Great part is, I'm downing Sierra Nevada's at an alarming rate, so it's win-win for me today!

For sure...although the GM JUST signed Norm Chow. Clearly he respects his opinion, and I'd have to imagine if Chow wanted Mike Williams badly enough, he'd be a Titan. If the Titans don't select Williams, it could mean a lot of things. But one of them could be Chow saying "he's just not a good pick at 6"

Well, how far will Rodgers fall? And Mike Williams? Will Williams get by the Vikes? I've had Rodgers going to the Saints for awhile. I kinda dount he falls that far, though.

Not a Chance...

 Wasn't Williams just talking about the bet between him and Brown and then one minute later she asks him about it again???:zoolander:But why male models? Are you serious, man? I just told you that.
