***Official Philadelphia Phillies Thread*** - Castellanos ****s wit Philly (3 Viewers)

Lowest runs scored through 26 games of Spring training. 9th worst runs allowed. This could be a record breaking season for the Fightins.

It would be tradition after all. Here's the 20 worst seasons of the modern era.

Phillies own 6 of them. I guarantee a 7th one is going on there this year. The real question is can they catch the 2003 Tigers and reach that 120 loss plateau. Very doable.

It's not easy to lose 120. The 2003 Tigers fell short at 43-119 by winning five of their last six. They started the year going 3-20 in April and finished bottom of the league in both ERA+ and OPS+. They were 3-13 in extra inning games but somehow managed to finish 1 game over .500 in one run contests.

The Tigers had nobody anywhere as good as Hamels, Utley and Papelbon who are all on track to be HoVG guys. Dmitri Young was the Tigers' best player by far that year. All their SP stunk --they had three starters who lost at least 17 games and Franklyn German and Chris Mears tied for the team lead with 5 SV (the two of them combined for 2 SV for the rest of their careers)

I'm not saying it'll be easy, but they'll give it a go.

Good start in the quest for 120 losses. You have to have goals for the season. My reasoning is that if they can somehow get there, even this ownership would have no choice but to fire everyone. The scouts, the front office, the minor league liaisons, the hot dog vendors. Everyone!

Because we'll need a shot or four to ease the pain, Phillies to starting selling liquor at CBP this season. This should go swimmingly.

:hifive:

What could possibly go wrong?

I guess they have to get people into the stands when Hamels isn't starting somehow. Although, I have to say they had me at Wayback Burger

Could be the last time they see over .500, it was a good run.

ETA: who is this o'sullivan guy that's starting tomorrow?
