Before that, when Michaels and Jannetty shook hands and hugged, Heenan said something like, "well one without the other just isn't right" seconds later, Michaels superkicks Jannetty and Heenan says, "oh I knew he would do that, he don't need Jannetty"

King Cuerno and Johnny Mundo in a cage!

Both good performers and decent match, but I disliked the camera work having to watch the match 'behind the cage'. Just didn't come off well for viewing at home IMO.

Lucha Underground has great production with their backstage segments.

Yeah, that kinda sucked. I gave it a pass as the match itself was pretty good. The fact that the match actually ended with Mundo pinning Cuerno instead of escaping the cage was a plus for me.

Whoever came up with the idea of having a camera to catch Vampiro and Stryker's reactions to great moves deserves a beer. To see them mark out like fans while doing commentary is something good to see.

It's long, so here are are a couple good snippets:

Why are the fans so against WWE’s plans, and if they are, why isn’t the WWE listening to these fans? The answer is relatively simple; the WWE still believe that the people who paid money to be in those crowds, that are wearing their merchandise and subscribe to their network are just a vocal minority. The backwards thinking is that these reactions are similar to what the "internet fan" of old would try to push the WWE to do. It completely flies in the face of current demographics and how wrestling fans have evolved over the years.

Now with just a few weeks left to Wrestlemania the company is scrambling to fill out the card and finding itself backed into strange corners. All the while they are resisting what the fans are calling for but attempting to throw the occasional bone to quiet down the crowds and snap them back into line. Of course it isn’t working and it is just making everything else confusing or just downright bad. Tossing #GiveDivasAChance into their ongoing mess of a Diva’s division might feel clever, but fans realize that WWE is doing nothing extra with their women at all. Giving Daniel Bryan a chance to earn his way into Wrestlemania might have felt clever, but leaving him with nothing heading into Wrestlemania feels confusing for a guy who headlined the PPV right before Wrestlemania and is now somehow associated with a bunch of midcarders stealing Bad News Barrett’s Intercontinental Championship from him while he wrestles.
It’s time for the WWE to either listen to their fans and get over their decades-old grudge against the entity they call "the internet" or to simply stick to their guns and pump out the programming that they want to pump out, regardless of how the crowd reacts. One or the other, because this half-cocked approach is making everything a whole lot worse. For once Wrestlemania feels like a chore as opposed to an exciting, can’t miss spectacle and they only have themselves to blame for this.

Cool episode this week of the Cheap Heat podcast with Chris Hero.

Jericho's podcast from earlier this week with PJ Black/Justin Gabriel was also pretty interesting. Gabriel talked about playing Adam Rose's bunny and how he developed a long-running story line for it, but that the idea was just dropped midstream with no explanation. He said it was pretty emblematic of most storylines/development there... unless you are one of the top 5 or 6 guys, they won't pay attention to you. This sort of reminds me of WCW in the late 90s, except at least with WCW they let the undercard guys do whatever they wanted and the fans were treated to some gems from guys like Jericho, Guerrero, Finley, Regal, etc.

The dropped storylines have been bugging me more and more. We never really get any solid explanation as to why the Bellas stopped feuding with one another (they could have built that into a much bigger crescendo than their painful feud with Paige and AJ now). It looks like we are not getting any satisfactory resolution between the Dust brothers. The Ascension have already been turned into jobbers. I could go on and on.

Gorilla would retort with some line about how the other wrestler, some villain, was doing the same thing earlier and the face was merely responding.

Later on the villain would get the win by pulling the tights and Gorilla would be screaming about the villain cheating and then ask Hennan about the blatant disregard for the rulebook. Heenan would answer by hitting his monitor and saying that there was something wrong with his monitor because the screen went blank during the pinfall or he would act surprised and say

"What happened? I was down here tying my shoe. Oh look at that, a pin. I wish I could have seen it"
