Ambrose is the most over guy in the company right now....but I don't think he's being held back or hampered in anyway with his Lesnar feud. To me, it's just building up even up more of a reason to like him.
Where they take him after WM is what concerns me as the logical (and easy) move would be to have Reigns win the title; become "The Face" and then Ambrose turn to halfway heel to become his chief rival. That doesn't help either as its shoehorning Reigns into a role that the fans don't want him in and not maximizing value on Ambroses' popularity. Next years storyline will also be complicated with the return of Rollins and the continuation of Lesnar as a constant, potential Number One contender to the title. Not even counting ANY of the other talent (Owens/Styles/Balor/Wyatt)....that gives you 4 legitmate, quality (at this point, anyone saying Reigns doesn't deliever in his matches is just hating) rivals for the title.
To that, I'd build The Legend of Ambrose up even more by having him beat Lesnar at WM. That gives Ambrose a legit claim to the Number One Contender mantle. If you have Reigns go over HHH....you can tweak Reigns to be a smug Champion, who recognizes Ambrose as his rival and abandons The Brotherhood.....or have HHH go over Reigns, have Ambrose win the belt in the weeks after WM and then have Reigns run a "I hate you Dean...you stole what was supposed to be my glory" angle.
One thing they should do regardless is give Lesnar the MIB. The idea of him legitmately being to cash in whenever would bolster ANY Championship Match.

Regarding Shinsuke Nakamura officially signing with WWE NXT, it was noted on Wrestling Observer Radio and in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion looks to be the first NXT Superstar to receive WWE main event level money.
No word yet on how much time Nakamura will spend in NXT but all signs point to a significant run there. It's very interesting how WWE is paying big money for Nakamura if they have a lengthy NXT run planned for him.

At the same time, at his age and with the back issues he dealt with last year, I find it hard to believe that he'll handle the rigors of a full main roster schedule. One thing NJPW did to protect him was put him in a ton of tag matches, but that's not the WWE way unless you are partnered with someone and given some marketable name.
NXT, on the other hand, would probably be gentler for him and he can teach the kids a thing or two.

My theory is that this whole last year was supposed to lead to a Shield Triple Threat match at Mania for the title, but then Seth got injured and they've had to adjust booking on the fly.
I hope there is still money in that match since we're getting pretty far removed from the Shield concept at this point and other guys are ready to step up into the ME picture. Maybe by SS if Seth is ready, but that ship might have sailed.
Ambrose with the title and Brock with the MITB would make for awesome TV. Suspense every week.
Building on that point above....really just title defenses on RAW would really exponentially add excitement to the product. In the past 3 years since I've been watching "regularly" again, I think it's only happened once. Now that they've got the network, I doubt there's as many one off purchases of PPV as there used to be....so just make the product great and they'll flourish

I don't have much faith in the Shane/Undertaker match leading to something cool. I'm almost expecting them to turn it into another WCW v WWE thing where they remind us Shane 'bought' WCW years ago and tried to eliminate WWE at that Survivor Series. How the Undertaker was one of the WWE leaders and he's fighting for his company, etc. I'm hoping I'm wrong.

I was watching a bunch of late 90's RAW and the two things that stood out to me were the crowd involvement and the title defenses. The last one I watched had Rock v HHH in a steel cage match... it was awesome, not just saved for a PPV.

I got to meet her not long after she left WWE. She came in for an interview at her hometown radio station, which I so happened to work at. She actually came off pretty bright and intelligent and was really nice.
And yes, she looked great, too.

I was watching ROH yesterday afternoon. In a match between Matt Sydell and ADAM COLE BABY!!, Sydell was out of the ring lying on the floor. Cole made a motion asking the crowd to clear out of the way so he could throw Sydell into the crowd. The crowd parts, and then Cole throws him into the ring instead and mock flips off the crowd. 
The crowd went wild. If that'd been a WWE crowd, the marks would've booed that.

They really need some type of swerve here. Either having Taker refuse to fight Shane, or talk of not wrestling. Too many RAWs until WM to have it just be a simple match agreement.

Like other guys in the industry have said, I highly doubt Shane is back for long term. I mean if this were any other year, with the endless list of injuries, would he really have been invited back?? Doubtful. And the attitude era stuff will last until WM and then cease. WWE knows they have everyone's attention now until WM. They'll pull every trick in the book to sell out AT&T given the dire injury circumstances, even letting a little color on TV. It won't last.

I see Shane with a 6 month run at most, up until SummerSlam. As soon as Cena/Taker wasn't going to happen, they call Shane in to fill Cena's spot. Doesn't make the most sense storyline, but it's what you have. HHH/Shane is the match that makes the most sense, but you already have HHH/Roman, so HHH/Shane will have to wait.
I have Taker come out tonight, and refuse the match, blame it on respect for Shane, hate for Vince, he's not a corporate monkey. Vince says fine, no match, Shane doesn't get RAW. I make a tag team match on RAW week after next, Taker/HHH vs. Shane/Roman. Ratings boost with Taker working on RAW. HHH gets the pin on Roman, but Shane visciously attacks Taker after the match, maybe getting some color, and cuts a vicious promo calling out Taker's legacy, blah blah, manhood, blah blah, getting Taker to accept the match.
Shane wins at WM and that sets up a disgruntled HHH taking back the company at SS with his win over Shane. Shane goes back to China.

Terrible open. Awesome work making your 47 year old champ the "cool heel"....Segment ended with Ambrose looking like a lunatic. ABSOLUTELY CRAZY!!!
Wonderful work writing staff. Really ought to change his whole gimmick to Goofy to suit how you've written this character for the past year+

I thought Stephanie cut a tremendous promo. That was her best work in a long time.
The Undertaker reminding Vince that he was about to have his son maimed wasn't what I expected, but I thought it was pretty good. As if to say 'are you SURE you want to do this to your own son, who you just said you loved, Vince'? They can build off that.
Otherwise I agree it was a lackluster episode.

Biggest issue with Taker/Vince is no reason was given WHY Taker would help Vince. Which was the question going into it.

There has to be a swerve coming here. The UT/Shane match makes no sense. Straight up: Shane wins and this is how UT goes out??? UT wins in a squash match--Shane doesn't get control of RAW and fades back into the limelight---well why did we have this match again?
You know they have to have Shane win because they want him to "control" RAW to counter the sagging ratings, but I can't see how they have this happen at the expense of a legend like UT. And if the theory is outside interference causes Shane to win, that doesn't add up either because I doubt Undertaker is going to work a regular schedule and avenge this injustice.

I think Shane is going to win with interference from someone maybe not on main roster yet or something. I know somebody in another forum posted a screenshot of the shows after Wrestlemania and they were labled WWE vs Monday Night RAW, would love to see some sort of brand split if Shane gets control.

Yeah, there's a lot more to come with this story. Obviously Shane has some tricks up his sleeve. We still don't know Undertakers motivation. Did Vince back up the Brinks truck? Was he blackmailed? Is he secretly working for Shane? It certainly isn't going to be a squash match. It is possible Shane is only back for the next 5 weeks and then he goes away again (unless I missed news to the contrary).

I think we're getting Bullet Club siding with Shane to beat UT.....then the Monday after WM when Shane cuts his promo....he'll say something to the extent that he saw these guys while he was China/Japan and he brought them with him......
