Next week on Raw.....

Mick Foley as Santa Claus!

Special appearance by Ric Flair!

Stone Cold Christmas beer bash!!

Rinse and repeat. Then the next week back to same old crap.

AEW and WWE DO have something in common. They have to use stars of yesteryear to spike a rating. Think things are bad now? Imagine in 10-15 years.

Problem with WWE is they don't know how to make new stars. At least AEW has some guys who can be potential stars. The problem though is creating newer fans. The diehards and IWC will tune into NXT/AEW usually but it's about bringing in new fans as well as AEW stealing NXT fans who just watch NXT. What AEW has that WWE has not is they have good storylines and prepare for the future and have things written up for more then 1 week. Don't hear about AEW ripping up weekly scripts where RAW/SDL do repeatedly. AEW is still a young product. IMPACT remember didn't get bigger ratings for a few yrs till they started to become known. My First TNA experience was the 1 hour Impacts here and there but my first watching them on a consistent basis was Main Event Mafia time.

I just heard that the Good Brothers, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson, might make an appearance on DYNAMITE next Wednesday after The Young Bucks' Tag Team Title Match with The Acclaimed.  Apparently, Matt and Nick Jackson will confront Kenny Omega about his recent actions, and then Gallows and Anderson will attack them from behind.

So, the Bullet Club is not only reforming in IMPACT Wrestling, but also in AEW as well.  This is probably going to spark the biggest feud in wrestling since WWE vs. WCW/ECW and the Invasion storyline back in 2001.  And what am I talking about?  I'm talking about the TNA vs. AEW feud that is surely going to be the biggest feud of 2021!  Is anyone else looking forward to this feud like I am?!!

Today I saw a gif from 25 years ago of Undertaker flipping off Stone Cold as his tag team partner.  Most interesting wrasslin thing I've seen in 15 years, at least.

This storyline makes ZERO SENSE. Gallows/Anderson were technically fired by Kenny and the Bucks. Kenny and the Bucks then fired AJ Styles (Yes this was the storyline to get them written off to go to WWE) but AJ and the Good Brothers with Devitt when asked about the BC Civil War storyline said they supported the OG's. It's well documented that Tama Tonga asked Devitt and Karl if he could fire The Elite and they had no problem with it. They thought it was becoming too cheesy, NWO commercialized and wanted to get back to the first formation of the stable wrecking havoc. Unless this eventually sets up Kenny rejoining BC in Japan with Gallows and Anderson and then the Elite this really makes zero sense.

Honestly not looking forward to this feud at all. Would rather see NJPW OGBC's finish their Civil War with The Elite. Like I said Omega teaming with The Good Brothers makes zero sense. Only sensible storyline is Kenny accuses Codi and The Bucks of turning him into some campy version of himself and how he hated it but always wanted to stay in the OG's or something around those lines.

Low Ki had an interview about his WWE time when they renamed him Kaval. Low Ki was on one of the first seasons of rebranded NXT contest show with his mentors LayCool. After a brief stay in developmental he went onto SDL and was released in Dec 2010. Low Ki didn't mention names but basically said

"he's outspoken and WWE didn't like that. THEY WERE AFRAID OF HIM AS HE WASN'T MADE BY THEM AND HAD EXTENSIVE WRESTLING tRAINING OUTSIDE OF WWE. He also said he didn't like how the people in charge of things treated certain wrestlers or him and spoke up. He said if you see a pattern I've never named any names and I don't have too. Theres numerous former coworkers and people who came after me to WWE and left all sharing similar bad stories about WWE. Obviously the issues are at the top and are still an issue to this day. "

So he essential said WWE upper management AKA VKM and CO were SCARED of him because he was an outsider who was already trained well. At the time WWE was not known for many talents with exceptional in ring ability but more so characters outside a few cats like Justin Gabriel, Daniel Bryan, Seth and Mox in Dev at that time and a few young talents they didn't allow to use full movesets to not get more over then their top talent. They also didn't like how he was outspoken and wasn't a good company yes guy. Low Ki I also isn't one to throw shade a name names but says others have so there's really no need for me too as you know who they are already. WWE is the only company I've said more bad then good. I've left other companies because I speak my mind but he wants people to notice he never has anything negative about them.

Talk is Jericho today has Don Calis and Kenny Omega. The first one done a few yrs ago was incredible. I believe the first interview was when Don was still a cohost with the Podcast in its early stages.

Tony Schiavone: “I wouldn't mind seeing Gallows and Anderson because they're friends of mine, and they work for a ####ty promotion. We'll make sure they get paid on time."

This.

Just shows how in the crapper wrestling is today. Impact has no talent left. Really don't know why AEW is even working with them TBH (I get maybe a one time favor back to Callis). The only thing of value Impact has.....is their tape library. That's the only reason I can think they'd be working with them. Impact gets I think 100k viewers a week on TV on AXS I believe. People really clamoring for a Omega-Rich Swann (believe that's his name) title match??   I'm sure it'll be a great little rasslin' match.

Gallows/Anderson aren't doing anything for ratings or getting more viewers. And if we're being honest, they're probably the "biggest things left" in Impact. It isn't to crap on new management for Impact......they're just not gonna ever be successful reviving a dead brand.

AEW just went for a ratings pop with 62 year OLD Stunk with his bat. Ratings already back down. Best thing you can say about AEW is it's (perhaps) not as awful as WWE. Which outside of Reigns right now, everything in WWE needs to be blown up. I mean, congrats?

I've said it for a long time, wrestling is the new circus barring a complete makeover in creative and production. I don't see that happening with a publicly traded company :2cents:

Based on my limited notebook, you are no where near having kids.  In terms of who gets to throat punch Caillou and whoever came up with the idea to have a whiny ### ##### 4 year old as a cartoon, you are waaaaaaaaay back in line.  Between my nephews who are in their 20s and my kids 12-7 I have watched him far too many times.

Word is AEW is using IMPACT to smooth over relations with NJPW and Rocky Romero is involved along with Don Calis. That's according to Meltzer who's pretty good these days on AEW news.

Going back to that it makes more sense than AEW giving IMPACT Ratings. Most people don't get AXS TV without a sub service. So not sure how this helps IMPACT nor AEW. However if Meltzer says is correct then it's smart business by Tony Khan

Impact can be viewed on twitch. Melissa Santos hosts.

I have been forced to watch Caillou for years as an uncle/dad.   If you are in your early 30s, watching Caillou was your choice, not one forced it on you.  I would have been fine raising my kids on reruns of Bozo and old school Tom and Jerry cartoons, I turned out mostly OK.

Step lively around wrestling sites, gents. Smackdown was taped on Tuesday and a Thunderdome viewer posted the results.

The :lmao:  one that spoils nothing is that Sasha Banks dropped her title belt going to the ring and is supposedly seen mouthing the words “you’re going to edit this out?” :lmao:

OTOH, the show does close with:

BIG E WINS THE IC TITLE!

Rusev on 3rd wheel storyline with Lana/Lashley "this creative is horrible"

Rusev on 3rd wheel/lackey storyline with AEW..... :lmao:

Humorous he's literally doing the same thing since joining new company. Literally nothing different at all about him (except maybe the stupid dyed hair). Too many of these old WWE guys start believing they're more than what they really are. He's certainly not alone....

Awful. That was first AEW exposure for a lot of potentially new NBA fans, and Chris's physique is so bad that it distracted from the actual in-ring product (which still isn't great, but is miles better than WWE). Only 1 chance at a first impression...

Again? This is Vince's idea (again) of a week or 2 ratings pop to temporarily get the network execs off his ###?

Awful. STILL.....nothing learned.
I heard the network is fuming and want a more violent product. I heard they don't want ECW/Attitude ERA but definitely closer to Ruthless Aggression Era type content as they believe that will help. I think it would as its way too family friendly and insults your intelligence. However I heard USA is clearly  :censored:  off at the ratings. A week or two ratings pop won't do much anymore. USA is getting inpatient with WWE. We'll see if anything comes from it though

Most of these people haven't seen or watched Wrestling since Jericho First left WWE or the 2nd stint he had with the JBL feud when he came back the 2nd time. I saw some of the profiles of those commenting and lets just say a few should look in the mirror and eat a few more salads and get out more themselves.

I saw people literally dumping on AEW. Obviously a lot of these people don't know the newer guys. SHould've started with the Young Bucks title match

Vince can choke on a fat one

Sting WILL be having cinematic matches in AEW

On the AEW Podcast Sting revealed that he begged WWE to allow him some cinematic matches with the Undertaker and they refused.

When Tony Khan called Sting, he asked if Sting would be interested in having some Cinematic matches for AEW.

Sting agreed and the rest is history.

FOX is pimping Smackdown hard during the Saints-Vikings game to hold their audience after the game.

They featured RR-KO steel cage match and a shot of Owens going through a table.

Can't blame them one bit.

Will be interesting to see AEW’s approach to a cinematic match. This is one area I see WWE superior. We all know WWE is overproduction city. Overproduction holds back a raw/gritty take on live pro wrestling matches, which is what I think most fans want...a broadcast style closer to that of the late 90s/early 00s. But overproduction to a pretend movie match? That’s right in WWE’s wheelhouse, something a little closer to a Hollywood approach.
