I can't imagine there are many left that she'll out the 60 bucks to order the ppv but I know if I did then they air the two biggest matches for free the night after I'd be thrilled.
I couldn't imagine having to pay $60 bucks at this point for another WWE PPV. I guess making it $10 a month means we get 1/6 the quality.

HHH has challenged Sting to a face to face confortation as Fastlane. Pretty much the safest thing to pencil into the wrestlemania lineup I think at this point.

Terrific interview segment to end Raw with Lesnar/Reigns. Better than anything they would have done in the ring on RAW tonight.

Reigns can't talk worth a #### but Heyman made that segment just terrific. Luckily they kept Roman's talking to a minimum.

I don't get the hate for New Day. Kofi is a fun worker and Big E can be entertaining as well (loved the preacher handkerchief last night).
Big E looks like an extra from the Connery movie in your avatar. Those uniforms are something else.
:lmao:

Good call.

Here is a complete list of alternatives to Raw tonight, including one that just came across:

SMASH Wrestling's Challenge Accepted: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyy5LPDc-Hw

FWE's ReLoaded Night 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUkY-uMh6ZI

Inter Species Wrestling: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6OH3rqjr88 (can watch immediately)

Chikara: No link yet (I'll update when one comes across)

Lucha Underground: Two episodes (replays) back to back starting at 8:30 PM EST on the El Rey Network.
Thanks for the hook up GB.

I watched the FWE show; they have a nice array of talent there. Got to see Colt Cabana take on former PWO star Johnny Gargano. They also had Sonjay Dutt (now bald) against Chris Sabin. I couldn't stay awake long enough to see Maria Kanellis :kicksrock: but there was an appearance by Joel Gertner (the Sexual Intellectual - :lmao: ) who turned on buddy Frankie Nunzio of the FBI.

I saw a tweet from a British promotion advertising an upcoming show that said:

"If you pay to see this show, we promise not to air it for free the next night." :lmao:

Not only was this terrible and had absolutely no flow to it, but the best thing I heard someone say is that Roman looked like a Make A Wish kid looking up to his hero The Rock.

Good luck to Paul Heyman trying to carry this thing for the next 7-8 weeks. He did a great job on RAW interview this week but he's not going to get a bit of help from Reigns.

I was very happy with the FWE show last night. Good production for a smaller fed and not only that, but the ability to reel in top talent is pretty cool. Some quick impressions:

1. Joey Ryan will die an indy guy. His act just works on the smaller scene, but any bigger stage and he becomes meh.

2. Candice Lerae is both adorable and courageous as she's not afraid of fighting the guys (a bit leery on guy vs girl wrestling, but I respect her courage). She could use some NXT Development Center time on the mic, though as she was pretty awkward before her match with Ivelisse.

3. Speaking of Ivelisse...how WWE A. bleached her hair blonde and B. underutilized her in FCW/NXT is beyond me.

4. Drew Galloway is a star, which I've been saying until I was blue in the face all these years WWE pidgeonholed him from unknown reasons.

5. Young Bucks are the best tag team in the world today by a fair margin. They also are the types that will wrestle anywhere there is a ring.

6. Johnny Gargano should also be in NXT. He and Candice are an item in RL, so that'd be a nice 2-for-1 for WWE should it ever happen. However, I could see him (and Candice too) being types that just love the indies too much to ever want to leave.

7. Everything I just said about Johnny Gargano can also apply to Tony Nese (though he's not dating Candice, too).

The state of independent wrestling is the strongest its been in about a decade and it's only going to get better the more WWE polarizes both wrestlers from working there and fans from watching their product. With the advent of social networking and streaming video, the time is ripe for indies to take off.

Yeah, there were no dud matches in what I saw last night...well, except for the announcers. The heel one kept saying "brah" all the time; it was annoying and overall their calls were bland. Gargano should be tearing it up; dude was a star in PWO and I was hoping he start showing up on bigger stages. Is he dating that chick with the spider web tattoos on her chest? I wasn't sure if I sure  or

I agree. I'm a big Kofi fan. I don't mind the New Day at all. I wouldn't be against a heel turn either.

Yeah, I really enjoyed that segment. Neither Brock or Reigns are good talkers, so Heyman is so important in building the hype for that match. I love the whole thing where Heyman says how much he respects Brock's opponent, but then respectfully informs him that nobody can beat Brock. Then Brock refuses to even respect his opponent.

I'd love to see Brock stick around a while and give just a few more appearances. Not a lot more, because he works better as an attraction, but you don't want too many PPVs without the title being defended.

I would hope people would be understanding of the unique circumstances involved. They had to come up with something. Also, watching the show after already knowing the results isn't quite the same as watching it live.

So, Roman Reigns was nearly drowned by his dad. That's a good story I guess.
The rest of his speech makes him sound like a scripted politician. And he essentially just admitted being hand picked by the higher ups. LOL.
Since the fantasy football season ended I've been listening to more of the wrestling podcasts. Both Steve Austin and Jim Ross (and Chris Jericho also, IIRC) have been critical of the "scripted promo" that's become the norm now in WWE. I guess it wasn't that way when they were still around. Wrestlers were allowed some freedom to ad lib. Sometimes they would go out there and wing it entirely. I guess Reigns is actually a quick thinking, funny and engaging guy, but he's terrible at reading his lines. Maybe he'd be better if they took the handcuffs off. :oldunsure:

Robbie E is the guy who kept saying "brah" and it's part of his TNA shtick. Didn't translate well to commentary. Other announcers were just ok.

No, Gargano is dating Candice, the blonde from World's Cutest Tag Team. She also appeared later in the show (won't spoil it).

- Many fans sent in word that they could hear Roman Reigns being fed lines last night on RAW during his sit-down interview with Michael Cole and later in the show when he went face to face with Brock Lesnar. If you watch the clips from RAW that WWE uploaded to Youtube, there are portions where the audio feed cuts out, which is when the lines he was being fed got picked up by the microphones.

WWE putting out all kinds of positive news. First the network finally hits the 1m subscriber mark. Now today they reveal Raw had its highest ratings since the post Mania show last year.

Brock vs Roman = Ratings

Might have already been mentioned here, but I really enjoyed the Hogan two-parter on Jericho's podcast. A lot of Inside Baseball talk, talk about his time in AWA, in Japan, early WWF stuff. The story about Mr.T hours before their WM match is pretty entertaining and makes you think that they were right on the edge of a pure disaster. His stories about Andre were the best.

T almost missed the beginning of Wrestlemania because he was giving a speech about his mom and it ran way long.

Days before the match, Mr.T just took off, couldn't be found. They told Hogan that he was sleeping with the homeless in Chicago. Day of the event, Hogan is there early. 4 hours before their match, no Mr.T, 3 hours, 2 hours, 1 hour, still no Mr.T. 30 mins before the match Vince comes in and tells Hogan that Mr.T is across the arena and about to leave. They get over there to find Mr.T with about 20 people in his entourage, and they are not being let in, so Mr.T is ready to leave. Last min, Vince gets everyone in the building, Hogan goes with Mr.T and doesn't let him out of his sight until they head to the ring.

Also he talked about how Piper and Orndorff did not want to lose to an actor. Piper always refused to job and Hogan called Orndorff a "redneck" (racist??) and neither wanted to lose to Mr. T.

Hogan also claimed that he didn't know the ending of the Hogan/Andre match until the end of the match. Claimed that Vince nor Andre would say how the match was going to go.

It was such a colossal F'up that people are tuning in to see if/how they fix it. No such thing as bad publicity I guess.

I called it almost immediately. The guy has got to quit being such a meat head and actually become a professional wrestler. That would involve some acting lessons and a better finisher than a punch. The big slow has a punch for crying out loud.

Am I the only one who thinks the WWE should ditch Kane and Big Slow and replace them with Big E and Russev? They would have two heels in the authority, and both are younger stars. Big E has nothing going for him right now. Both would benefit.

This is exactly what I said they should do a few pages ago. No one wants to see Kane and Big Show anymore.

Throw some guys in there that have the option of getting a push. Everyone knows Kane and Big Show are jobbers at this point.

Can't believe we're still talking about them in 2015. Their acts were stale a decade ago.

Apparently TNA has not renewed Velvet Sky's contract. She got the "fired" briefcase a while back, and it turns out she was legit let go.

I can't imagine her overly sexual entrance is going to fly in the WWE now. She's a decent worker and has a reputation of being all about meeting the fans and extending a promotion's good will. It'll be interesting to see where she ends up.

Prince Puma defended the Lucha Underground belt last night against Brian Cage. It was one of those matches where - for me anyway - I could see the high flyer being the muscle-bound weightlifter type. Good pacing to the match, lots of good spots, and nice back and forth.

Cage got himself disqualified by shoving the ref a couple of times. He then proceeded to beat up Puma and then ripped the LU belt in half. Matt Stryker made some reference to Superstar Billy Graham at that point - can somebody explain that to me as SBG was before I started watching wrestling.

Then old broke down Konnan came in to save his guy Puma. :lmao: He got torn up 4 ways to Sunday. At this point I think my 13 year old son could beat his crippled butt. :lmao:

ETA: El Rey Network is now on DISH network - channel 253 IIRC.

Isnt she dating Bully/Bubba ? I could see them both headed to WWE permanently especially with the rumors of stretching the bounds on the "PG13" content.

Maybe she's a fan of his version of the sitdown powerbomb.

Cage is a monster. He also will never, ever appear in a WWE ring because he's about a 1,000 Wellness violations waiting to happen.

Really liking Lucha's production. It's pretty engaging.

The production is amazing and the style is growing on me. I don't like women fighting men, but it's still probably the best hour of wrestling TV you can watch right now.

In 1982, on the first day of Backlund's fourth year as WWF champion, "Superstar" Billy Graham reappeared on WWF television and confronted Bob Backlund, reminding him and everyone watching that Backlund never cleanly defeated him. He then, in one of wrestling's most dramatic and impressive moments, proceeded to attack Backlund and his manager Arnold Skoaland, and then took the leather and gold WWF title belt and literally tore it in half.

Also liked this:

He also made wrestling history in 1977 by being one of the two World Champions (the other being Harley Race) who put their respective World titles on the line in the first ever N.W.A. vs. W.W.W.F. World Title Unification match. The match was held in the heart of one of the N.W.A.'s top territories -- Miami, FL. The two proud champions, with the eyes of the wrestling world upon them, wrestled to a bloody 1 hour draw.
I need to find that match on YouTube.

Road to Mania begins tonight.

Big announcement by HHH

Undertaker coming back vs. Wyatt

Some (potentially) interesting story lines this evening.

RAW will be good tonight. The have some damage control to do after the RR. They need to get the storylines resolved for WM. Everyone better be coming out tonight.
