I don't think anyone has talked about the new season of Tough Enough yet, but I just want to say that this is the worst season they've ever put on so far. I don't like the live American Idol (audience votes) style. They spend nearly 30 minutes of the show time live and only have the rest of the show to key on the competition stuff that actually gets voted on. They've done less in 2 shows than even the first 30 minutes of the first episode of Tough Enough, Season 1 (which were only 30 minute episodes).

Seriously. This week, the only in-ring activity was learning to bump. Except they showed everyone take literally ONE regular bump. And then they moved to letting everyone take a bump from the top rope to an obviously extra padded ring. So they did that and that's all the in-ring stuff we see. It's a joke.
I've watched both episodes but it's absolutely terrible. Also dislike the Live/competition split. At least they're eliminating the right people.

This is true. It makes me wonder if the voting is rigged in a way, but perhaps the popular vote is seeing it the way I am. Granted, of course it's rigged because they edit so much that they show us what they want us to see.

WWE special is off to a great start. Jericho vs Neville was a good match.

Divas match was surprisingly good for a change.

Lesnar vs Kofi Kingston was pretty much what you expected. Lesnar not selling any leg problems.

Cena/Ziggler vs Kane/Barrett ends the show. So far, it's what you thought it would be.

Cole and Byron did an unusually good job calling all the matches and showing knowledge of Japanese stars and past accomplishments. They actually added something to the show.

Wow Balor-Owens incredible.

Balor is going to be a monster when he hits the main roster. Kids will eat him up. That match could've been a WM main event easy.

Hope we have Balor & Cena down the road. Definitely could/should main event Mania & put Balor over huge. Guy's got a lot more marketability than Ambrose/Reigns. Reigns needs to go heel and soon. Get him over there and then perhaps down the road he'll have a good face run.

Ambrose to me comes off as a wannabe Piper. And not a very good one. Seems like he tries way too hard and nothing is natural. And he needs to stop doing that thing with ropes 95 times a match. Fans believed Brian Pillman was nuts........Ambrose tries too hard to be similar with his 'lunatic fringe' stuff & doesnt come off that way at all.

Hopefully they'll now put the U.S. belt on Owens and let him run some cheap heat with his Canadian heritage.

Can't believe they're going to hold Balor down for too long...so who's next in line for the NXT belt?

I'd guess Samoa Joe.

I'd bring Balor up either starting at the Rumble or the night after to get him in Mania. Hard to see him not being thrown near or right at the top. Guy just has the money making potential that no one in the company has right now aside from Cena and Lesnar. I'd throw him against one of them or Rollins at Mania.

Doesn't he have to come up almost as quick though? While Balor's a better talent, I'd imagine more casual American wrestling fans know who Joe is and are fans of him.

I imagine joe will be up shortly after balor. I don't think they'll hold off Balor from main roster til rumble.jmo ideal time to bring balor up n give him a huge push.

With Itami and Zayn on the shelf, I hope Tyler Breeze gets a look. He seems like he'll need a boost from the belt to get to the next level. Otherwise, he can too easily fall into a Fandango/Rose type trap.

New match idea: double three way match with cena (U.S.), big guy (intercontinental), KO, Ambrose, Ziggler, Wyatt. Whoever pins cena gets us and whoever pins ryback gets intercontinental.

Agree 100%

Agreed. No one thinks he is crazy, particularly when bray is a much better crazy. He can be a street fighter lunatic like stone cold. Ready to fight anyone at time, take a beating and smile ready for more. Acting "crazy" is annoying particularly when he always ends up the loser. Let him be the guy who is crazy in the sense that he will fight anyone anywhere and doesn't care what happen.

OMG what a match. Good for the company to give them that amount of time and to correct the mistake from last week with a clean ending.

For all the ####ty booking, and tonight was another poor show for the most part, they pull these unbelievable matches out of their ### and you remember why you're watching. That was incredible.

Maybe Corbin?
Dear god no. Crowd is giving him X-Pac heat lately.

If it isn't Joe, I'll go with Breeze or maybe a returning Zayn.

I'm thinking Breeze or Itami, who I think is due back before Zayn is.

Just got around to finishing the Japan show. While I agree that Owens-Balor was awesome, I was even more impressed by Neville-Jericho. Where has this Jericho been? That was probably his best match in 5 years.

They're building him up for something. He needs to show alot more but it's pretty clear that like him.

He's big and he has an interesting look, but he's also raw as heck. He will get a title run at some.point, but he is still a ways away from that.

What's next for Balor? Someone many pages back I think hit the nail on the head when he speculated that it was Balor in the Demon paint who attacked Itami. They showed Itami in the crowd watching during his match with Owens. I think that's foreshadowing that storyline. In one of the Balor vignettes he talks about the change that overcomes him when he puts on the demon paint. I noticed yesterday that he follows 666 people on his twitter account. Clever.

Loved the Japan special. Those streamers were outstanding. Jericho was great. Was fun to see an "old school" Walls of Jericho. Was mildly surprised he went over. While the storytelling may not be as good in this era, you can't complain about the quality of the wrestling.

Speaking of Jericho, he's got some competition. Cena might be giving his 1004 holds a run for the money pretty soon. I assume those that chant "Cena sucks" are referring to his character, because his ring work is amazing. He brings out the very best in every opponent. Really helps them shine. Cesaro is the latest beneficiary. Give him a better entrance and they might have something with him.

This Dolph Ziggler storyline is getting kind of interesting. Are they deliberately and slowly pushing him heel? He's been behaving like an ### lately, and I found myself cheering when Rusev beat him with the crutch. He absolutely had that coming. But they're not exactly making Rusev out to be a swell guy either. But this is what Ziggler should be. An arrogant heel who steals your woman and then rubs your nose in it.

On the topic of Ambrose, I think he works very well in the buddy angle with Reigns. I don't think the announcers do him any favors with the CONSTANT reminders of how crazy he is. And the same phrases over and over. "Lunatic fringe" "unhinged" "the unstable Dean Ambrose". Stop! We have eyes and ears. You're making it feel forced.

I think that's Vince McMahon in the announcers ears making them do that. I noticed there was less of that from Cole in the Japan special where I assume he didn't have anyone in his ear. Just a theory.

Overall, very little is working right now for the WWE. The top of the card (Cena, Lesnar, Rollins, Owens) is doing very well, but most of the rest is really boring.

That dusty rhodes stories special on the network was amazing

Flair, JJ Dillon, arn, Michael Hayes and jerry Lawler telling stories about him. But these idiots cut it off after an hour. To show what who knows probably a total divas replay. You have five old timers telling great stories and your own network. Let them go.

Not like they'll ever gather like that for such a reason again.

I hate to complain Becuase they didn't. Have to do it at all but it was frustrating to see it end.

Cena's character has always been the reason for the Cena sucks chant. His in-ring work, when paired with other good wrestlers in always good, he just gets bogged down in awful storylines more than anyone else so people get sick of him. I've noticed he has his best work against the Indy guys for some reason. I mean Cesaro, Owens, Neville, Zayn, Rollins and going back to Bryan and especially Punk(his best opponent ever) Cena seems to go to another level against those types for some reason, that he doesn't hit against non-indy guys, like Rusev, Wyatt and especially Orton(arguably his worst opponent) just seems like whenever he gets out WWE style match comfort zone, he performs a lot better.

While I appreciate him going deeper into his moveset as of late, some of those moves need to stay buried. Cena is great when he sticks to the power moves(that sit down powerbomb was nice) he looks awful when he does the athletic stuff. The springboard stunner is a move for Kalisto or Neville, Cena can't get the height or distance to make it look good. Same thing with that hurricanrana.

In my opinion, Rusev has been a secret face his entire run. He's never really done anything all that bad, his reason for being a heel has basically been having a Russian girlfriend and being proud of being not American. Meanwhile the faces are constantly cheapshotting him, calling him jingoistic names and now rubbing his face in his relationship falling apart. From a logical storytelling standpoint, he's never once been the bad guy in a feud.

I think they made a huge mistake putting the Money In the Bank briefcase on Sheamus. The crowd hates him, and not in the "getting good heat" kind of way, but in the "I wish I wasn't seeing you" kind of way. Basically X-Pac heat. I've noticed whenever the crowd starts chanting for CM Punk, or for the announcers, its almost always when Sheamus is wrestling. At this point it isn't a coincidence at all, he's the problem. Putting him and Orton in a feud is crazy, the crowd will be so quiet, we'll be able to hear crickets dropping pins in the arena.

I know a guy who runs a gym in Milwaukee, and word on the street is that he's looked terrible in training.
They have to feed him a tomato can or two, right?

I would pay 9.99/month for an all Michael Hayes Network. 19.99 if they don't censor anything.

Good observations on Cena. I enjoy his character, but I missed the 1st half of his career. For a period of maybe 8 years I stopped watching as we were starting a family and they were still in the attitude era. Not a good product for kids at that time. Now I tend to view the product through the eyes of my kids.

I couldn't agree with you more on Sheamus. I tend to walk away and do something else or switch to the baseball game when he's on. Even against wrestlers I enjoy, I usually don't watch. Not really sure what bugs me about him. He's got a nice entrance, he's good on the mic, and not a complete stiff in the ring. But I have no desire to see him on TV at all.

Rusev has always been a heel, IMO. He's been given the opportunity to earn his living here, so it's pretty obnoxious to bash Americans. More recently his heel behavior is his chauvinism. He has very old fashioned views of a women's place. Additionally he blamed Lana for his own failure against Cena. But it's not a long road to a face turn if that's what they want to do. They made him look sympathetic after his injury. You can't blame him for his actions against Ziggler. Maybe they'll do like a Randy Savage/Sensation Sherry/Miss Elizabeth type storyline.

Sounds like Cena has been championing Cesaro for a long time behind the scenes, but Vince wasn't convinced.

Just watched new Tough Enough episode. That character challenge shows EVERYTHING that's wrong with WWE today and why frankly the product sucks.

ZZ's CHARACTER was hilarious. Then you have Billy Gunn, who never ever ever ever ever ever ever put an ### (no pun intended) in a seat on his own, telling him it was a joke. No Billy, what was a joke was your ###### gimmick with Chuck Palumbo. Road Dogg was the reason New Age Outlaws ever got over. Gunn was heavily pushed as a singles guy and was a collossal flop like Lex Luger. It's just hilarious this company is branded as ENTERTAINMENT and there's not a single entertaining regular CHARACTER on their programming.

Tanner is heads and shoulders above all the other guys. ZZ isn't going to win but he's more entertaining than everyone on the show. The black idiot Patrick needs to go. Zero potential. He's a waste of time on the show like the first 2 eliminated guys.

ZZ (19 years old....whatever he is) has a better mind for what WWE should be in 2015 than 'head trainer' Billy Gunn. And that's pretty ####### sad for WWE as a company. I'll never understand why you hire the likes of Albert and Billy Gunn -- 2 guys that never made a dime as singles -- to lead your developing talent.

I don't see ZZ losing a fan vote save for perhaps against Tanner. Sara Lee should have went home 2nite. Too plain jane. AJ Lee she isn't.

Looks like Charlotte and Sasha Banks are gonna be movin' on up to the main roster soon!

NXT Backstage Report

Source: Pwinsider.com

WWE NXT Diva Charlotte is set to make her main roster debut at SummerSlam next month. Charlotte and another NXT Diva, likely to be Sasha Banks, will debut together to provide help forPaige against the Bella Twins and Alicia Fox.

There was talk about bringing Bayley up for the storyline, but since she is out due to a broken hand calling up Sasha is the current plan.

About time on Charlotte, but I'd rather them hold off on Sasha. She deserves her own moment. But yeah, Charlotte should dominate.

Glad to see them coming up. They tore down the house at the NXT house show in Columbus last month.

However, it makes no sense for them to be sudden allies given that they're the spitting definition of rivals.

Theres a thought that they come up together, but then Sasha turns and joins Team Bella forming a heel Diva group. It would allow for some additional story telling having a female "authority" in place and may offer some better storylines than the same Paige vs <insert Bella Twin here> we've been seeing. Bayley may come up soon once her injury is healed - and the influx of better talent may help revive this division.

Love seeing Charlotte and Sasha move up. Hate seeing NXT getting stripped of talent. Off course that is it's purpose, but still, kind of sucks for the fans of that brand.

I guess Becky will be having a long run as champ in NXT.
She is the logical choice. Bayley's character doesn't suit a title run and she may be promoted in the not-too-distant future anyway.Maybe they can bring back Taryn Terrell (formerly Tiffany of ECW). She's improved a ton in TNA and there is a mass exodus of TNA talent underway. She is rumored to be on the way out.

Also, I'd really love it if they signed Candice LeRae (Indy/PWG darling). Her boyfriend Johnny Gargano got a WWE tryout recently, so maybe a door opens that way.

That sounds like a gigantic waste of Sasha Banks. She should basically get called up somewhat like Kevin Owens has, where its her against the world, no allies, just an immediate main eventer, with a chip on her shoulder.

Not surprisingly, I think I disagree with at least 75% of it. Not to mention the things I do agree with, they don't actually do.

One of the most annoying things on every show, is when Michael Cole describes what somebody says in a promo is his monotone voice. For example, Bray Wyatt comes out, and while he's entering, Cole recites whatever Wyatt said in his last promo, but his bored retelling removes any menace or meaning or value from whatever the promo was about, and it happens all the time.

Wrestling was never bigger than when it was treated as a competitive endeavor... we know and there have always been story but they were the sizzle not the steak...

Imagine Stephanie McMahon, a dope who has never held a real job, offering critique of commentary.

Pentagon, Jr. still has it out for Vampiro. LU had an interview segment between the two; Pentagon wouldn't answer any of Vampiro's questions, then he called Vampiro a coward and demanded a match. Vampiro states that he's had his career (32 world titles!) and it's now Pentagon Jr's time. There was shoving and shouting.

At the end of the show, Pentagon comes and blindsides Vampiro and then throws him to the ground. He finds a can of gasoline ( ) and pours it on Vampiro and flicks open a lighter. He wants a match with Vampiro at Ultima Lucha.

What promoter keeps a can of gas lying around?
