I feel like we're going to get a Shield reunion either in the Title match or the Ambrose match.

Maybe in the women's title match they'll have Becky win, leading to a beatdown by Charlotte and Sasha and then Bayley comes out of the crowd in street clothes to save Becky.
You don't think they would have brought in Bayley on Monday instead of Eva Marie if they had plans to move her up right now?  I think she stays on NXT.

Which to watch live: WM or Walking Dead finale   :wall:

Wife and daughter wants TWD and they are like just start WM after that is over.  But I just can't see me enjoying a four hour show getting over after midnight.

I can't remember the last WM I didn't watch live. This is a quandary.
I'm wondering the same myself.  Last year, I watched TWD Finale live and tried to pick up WM where I left off, but the Network didn't work like that for live broadcasts... so I wound up having to wait 4 hours until the replay caught up to where I left off to pick back up.  I'll probably still watch TWD live.

No way they waste Bayley in that big jobber pre-show match.

Although TWD is 90 minutes....I imagine that 30 of them are going to be commercials. The Shark Move is to DVR TWD, put it on right after WM and be done it a little after midnight.

I don't think they'd put her with the B team, and I think after WrestleMania is typically when they debut a lot of new talent.   So maybe it'll be Monday.  Let's see if she drops the title tonight.  Is she does, I think she's gone.  She doesn't really have much more to accomplish at NXT.  She's gone through every decent women's wrestler they have, except for Asuka who she wrestles tonight.

It starts at 7 and you DVR TWD and catch up with after WM is over.

Who's all in that battle royal?  I know Big Show, Kane and the social outcasts are in there, but I can't remember anyone else talking about it on TV. :oldunsure:

Thanks.  Jobber city.  Ugh.  Probably will be Big Show or Kane.  Not sure there's even anyone worthy of giving a push in that group.  But maybe a surprise entrant will win.

I'm going Viktor to shock the world.

There are still 4 spots open. I could see a surprise entry Titus O'Neil come in and win. Honestly, Mark Henry is a Texas guy, I could see him getting the Big Show "career achievement, sorry about that Mae Young angle" win. Sandow had the crowd last year, but is forgotten now.

If I was booking, I have someone in the Social Outcasts win it. The trophy becomes their Francesca. They could get a lot of mileage out of the trophy in the group, possibly be why the group splits.

I thought Stroman was in the rumble, what happened?

They have been the one group that has been talking about it.   I can see all 4 making it to near the end only to be destroyed by the Big Show and Kane.  Or actually being the final 4 and having to duke it out amongst themselves.

Or perhaps Golddust and R-Truth and their agonizing storyline will factor into this somehow.

I'm about 10 times as excited about Takeover than I am about Wrestlemania. Which isn't surprising, its a FAR better card.

Nakamura vs Zayn is almost certainly going to be a strong candidate for match of the year. Highly unlikely Nakamura loses his debut, but usually guys don't debut against someone like Zayn, I mean, that is the NXT equivalent of facing John Cena in your debut.

I think Corbin should beat Aries. Corbin has quietly been on fire for, and has arguably been the best big man in WWE for months now. That said Aries was a pretty big signing, and Corbin isn't exactly Zayn-esq in his importance yet, so Aries probably picks up a win, possibly by a quick rollup or something like that. That said, Corbin's promo about beating Aries so bad he'll have to be signing pictures like Virgil was pretty much the greatest insult, and more than enough for me to be rooting for Corbin.

Apollo Crews is facing Elias Samson, and Crews the overwhelming favorite, but I'll pick Samson here. Crews has been kind of treading water lately, while they seem to be building Samson up a bit. Maybe he'll finally use that guitar as a weapon ala Jeff Jarrett.

American Alpha is the best tag team in WWE in years, they are basically like if you teamed up early Kurt Angle with early 90's Scott Steiner. The Revival is #2 on that list, they are the modern day Arn and Tully. I like American Alpha here, and this is a sneaky candidate for match of the weekend, its not the sure thing Zayn-Nakamura is, but it could be even better.

I like Bayley to retain over Asuka. I think they get some mileage out of this feud. This could be a feud through the summer. I don't see Bayley getting called up anytime soon. Especially with this likely been Zayn's final NXT match, and Balor being a likely candidate to be called up. I could see Asuka losing and not handling it well, and just destroying Bayley after the match. Heel Asuka could be epic. This is another match that could be a match of the year candidate.

I think Samoa Joe wins the NXT title, I think Balor is on the Raw after Wrestlemania, though, while unlikely, he doesn't have to lose the title for that to happen. Joe winning leaves challengers like Crews, Nakamura, and Aries. If Balor wins, Corbin is really the only contender I could see them running against him. I think Joe/Balor will be a good match, but its ceiling is probably 4th best on the card.

I still think the Balor Club will make their debut running in to help Shane defeat Taker.  Shane could use them as "his friend's from Japan" where he's been a successful businessman.  It would feel like a new type of invasion angle.
I feel like the Rollins moment this year will be from Rollins himself.  He had a bit of a rift starting with the Authority before he got hurt, he could come back, completely screw them over and maintain his reputation as the brains of it all.  It works especially well if the Shield reunites as mentioned above.

Since I'm assuming Rollins isn't ready to go yet, HHH and Steph bug off for a few months while he talks and cuts promos and they come back to get their revenge when he's healthy around Summer Slam.

Mauro Ranallo is like the best things of Jim Ross (delivery) and Matt Striker (knowledge) in one package. I hope he bumps Cole someday off Raw.

These two teams have just written the definitive guide on tag teaming for any team going forward. Masters-level tag psychology on display.

The Revival may have lost, but we may have seen the revival of tag team wrestling tonight!

KOTA IBUSHI!!!!!!!

I hope he's in the Cruiserweight tourney. He's all sorts of fun. His WrestleKingdom 9 match with Shinsuke Nakamura is an all-timer.

Great opener. Hope they keep Gable/Jordan together over the long haul. The last 20+ years says no. Would be refreshing IF they did have one/both branch into singles.....they'd still keep them together. (And not resort to the typical 1-on-1 feud breakup.....then nothing)

Shinsuke Nakamura is about to be in a WWE ring.

God, it feels weird typing that. Now you all get to see what me and others have been saying for the past year and a half or so.

I'd be quite cool with that
It would make sense because...

1. They're ideal "hired guns" for Shane's seizure of Raw...Bullet Club...Machine Gun Anderson...get it?

2. Balor can argue he's been "held down" and Shane was his way up

3. NXT, for all intents and purposes, is Shane's baby. This is what he wanted ECW to be. They can easily build that in the storyline.

Damn I wish I knew how to spoiler so I'll just type in white

I feel like Triple H is a huge mark for himself and would never let that happen even as a work to give up credit in a storyline.  Thats his dirty little secret that NXT was for intents and purposes a repositioned Shane Concept.

What I think is more likely is.... Shane wins, Shane screws Triple H and he and heel Reigns are on top, perhaps with Vince and Triple H recruits the Balour Club and maybe more of NXT to lead an all out war all summer.

Of course, that leaves unsettled where Ambrose, Rollins Cena and Orton fit in that dynamic but I think its one of the hotter angles they have in the quiver

Spoilers work like [---spoiler---] Insert message here. [---/spoiler---] (Take out the dashes)

Now, with that covered...

There's a possible brand split coming. Shane taking over Raw could start the wheels for that.

I hope so, and I wish it would be significant, wholesale production autonomy
