I wouldn’t mind Disney or Netflix. Get them back over to someone that understands proper user interface on their apps.

Disney would suck though with it iMHO with the content they'd want. It'd be oversaturated kid friendly

I think they would use either the ESPN+ or Hulu platforms for the content, both better layouts than the garbage Peacock is doing. Also, you are starting to see R rated content on even the Disney+ platform, nothing to say they can add a WWE hub next to the Star Wars and Marvel hubs with their content that is pushing into adult areas.

There's also the Saudis. You want to see people melt down? Sell the E to a bunch of sheiks.

That's a solid point. Just go scorched Earth but with the biggest bag of cash.

According to Meltzer with Vince back there's a lot of anxiety and uneasiness in WWE right now. Many fear with the company possible being sold there will be budget cuts again. A few of the signing by Hunter really haven't paid of in resigning of Hit row and Braun. Also LA Knight is running circles around Bray in the promos and stuff for their feud.

With Wyatt not sure if LA Knight is just that good and WWE never really had a mic guy like him going up agains Bray and shows the lack of good promo skills in WWE when Bray had been around or if it's just jitters from Wyatt or trying to give the Rub to LA. Kross and Scarlett might be the best resignings. Other then Bayley and crew and we haven't seen much of Teagan yet.

Braun has heat on him backstage not just because of his comments but many suspect he only comeback for the paycheck since things weren't working with CYN promotion and was desperate.

Hit Row are just awful on the mic and cringe worthy as well as good material for botchamania clips weekly. If Vince was still in Charge at least Hit Row would be in a comedy gimmick and not taken as some serious tag stable. Swerve was what made that group good and carry them. Without him they are a joke comedy act enhancement talent, squash match. Maybe you use them in a face or heel role as the heel's goon squad or the face has enlisted them as hell in the start of the feud but then you write them out of that storyline after a few weeks after the rivalry is set up.

RAW was probably the worst one in the Hunter era too ironically with Vince back.

Just to squash any Jay White to WWE rumors he has 2 yrs left on his NJPW deal. Any rumors of Jay to WWE are either false or some hope maybe some sort of partnership deal Hunter strung for allowing Karl Anderson at WK

JUST IN: WWE have announced that its Board of Directors unanimously elected Vince McMahon to become the Executive Chairman of the Board
Nick Khan is solo CEO of WWE.
Triple H is still Chief Content Officer, heading up talent and live events, despite Stephanie McMahon resigning

Alvarez said huge news imminent. Could be possible Sale could be something else

Rumor tonight is Saudi's bought WWE. If True it's believed several Talents including Sami Zayn do to his culture would walk out of WWE. Don't see many wrestlers going to WWE if this is true unless they just cared about $$$. This could be great for AEW in the end as well as other promotions

Multiple big time wrestling people seemed to be shocked at the rumor going around. SRS confirmed a rumor he heard was the Saudis bought WWE was a rumor but no on is confirming his rumor is what everyone is hearing.

People thinking the Saudi's forced Steph to step down as part of the sale.

This is pretty crazy. Biggest event in wrestling in 22 years.

Well see ya later Hunter that was fun while it lasted

JUST IN: Steven Muehlhausen of DANZN is reporting that some in the WWE expect Vince McMahon will be returning to head of WWE's creative now that company has been sold to Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.

Big question to ask now. US Defense called Saudi Arabia a security threat to the US last year. Who in their right mind in the US network TV wise will want to deal with them if it means lost profits for them eventually?

Can't wait for The Rise and Fall of WWE to come out

Women's Division probably gone too.

WWE probably just lost a huge demographic too. Gonna be interesting to see if those fans start watching AEW, IMPACT NJPW or walk away from wrestling for good.

It will probably be no different than before, except now it will suck to watch again because Vince can't help himself from controlling the book.

Also minus Sami Zayn.

I hope El Generico is All Elite.

The best part is gonna be trying to see these pro WWE paid off by WWE podcasts etc try to defend the Saudis now. Watch the hypocritical backtracking

This may not be a legal sale. Just saw somewhere that the sale has to go through investors and Vince could get sued for breach of contract. Investors have to agree to the sale.

Muhammed Hassan as WWE champ and the Jihad Faction Leader.
I'm here for it lol.

I think Hassan was one of the biggest missed opportunities in WWE history. I watch some of his stuff every now and again and man that dude had nuclear heat everywhere. Good physique, could hold up his end in the ring.

Did they lean into the racism stuff a little too much? Probably. But damn I can't help help but wonder what could have been with him.

Nicely done.

WWE is a public company. It doesn't just sell overnight. Twitter took months to go private in the Elon Musk deal. Let's all just breath and let it play out.

That said, if they sell to Saudis and reinstate VKM, I'm out.
This much seems likely. I am still 75-25 that Public Investment Fund of KSA will buy it, just so much smoke, but at this moment it isn't finalized yet.

Shoemaker and Twitter now saying the "reports of the sale to the Saudis" is completely false. Nothing happening right away regardless.

Still not a fan of Vince being back and Steph being gone.

Vince is now being sued by an investor in Delaware saying Vince used his power unlawfully to gain full control of the company again

Dax Harwood confirms FTR has requested time off. AEW Contracts to Expire in 3 months. Says Vince McMahon's return to WWE has impacted their plans for the future:
"We have asked and been granted the next few months off of television so we can sit back, reflect, decide, let our bodies heal, and figure out what we are going to do for the next few years because whatever we decide to do next will be the absolute last thing we do, period, as far as wrestling.
I don't see myself in five years going on the independents and wrestling independents. I don't see myself working in five years a Japan tour or a Mexico tour or traveling around the world and wrestling all over places. That's why these next few months are the most important few months for us.
By April, at least, at most, we will have an answer. But now again, I have to take in my health, I have to take in my family, I have to take in my creativity, and I have to take my personal life all into consideration about what we are going to do next. I know what I want to do but whatever we do, I just want to be respected. We, I feel, have done something so special in 2022 and most of that is in part to the fans. I think we deserve to continue to build on our legacy for ourselves but also we owe it to the fans to build on that legacy because they made us this past year. So, that's my news, is we are going to be away for a little while. I'm not sure exactly how long we'll be away. It may be all the way up until the end of our contract."
Perhaps in reference to Vince McMahon's return to WWE, Harwood was then asked if "recent news" will have an impact on what wrestling promotion FTR signs with later this year.
Harwood responded:
"I would be lying to you if I said no it doesn't at all, but, of course, it does.
But if I feel like we aren't being respected the way I think we should - and that's going to come off arrogant and egotistical - I mean as entities as far as characters and what we've done and what we've accomplished and who we are, but also as human beings. I will not hesitate to explore other options. Whether those options are taking a year off and doing things we love, that could be it, or whether those options are being presented to me in other forms, there's a lot of things I have to weigh."

For those wondering what this tweet means. SRS and others in the dirt sheet journo world were making comments and hints about the rumors of WWE to the Saudis etc. Leading people on, giving emoji's etc. Dave, John, Mike and Wade all sat back and only tweeted what the facts were while the others speculated and started a whole rumor of a completed sale before it was done.

VOW's Breaking News Audio podcast this morning lists John Pollock, Wade Keller, Dave Meltzer and Mike Johnson as the "Adults in the room" when it comes to wrestling media reacting in real time to the news and rumors around the WWE sale, and they are absolutely not wrong.

Was going to go to this but recent news has me not going plus AJ being hurt.

On January 23rd, WWE Raw will celebrate it’s 30th anniversary with a special show in Philadelphia.

How the tables have turned

Barron's, the sister publication to the Wall Street Journal and a subsidiary of Dow Jones & Company, is reporting that AEW's Shad and Tony Khan are said to be interested in buying WWE.
