Brock Lesnar was entirely cut out of the “By The Numbers” Royal Rumble video package last night. They mentioned that five superstars had won the Rumble from the number 30 position, but excluded Lesner, who had won the match in 2022 from the number 30 spot.

The Wrestling Observer reports a number of changes have been made to the card for WrestleMania 40 in the last few days, including plans for Brock Lesnar vs Gunther

It appears Lesnar has been removed from the show entirely.

Brock is canceled no more Suplex City

Post Wrestling reports Brock Lesnar was set to work with Dominik Mysterio at WWE’s Elimination Chamber event in Perth Australia next month.

Cole even tiptoed around Brock's name when he mentioned McIntyre was a previous Rumble winner who went on to win the world title. I don't think we ever see Lesnar in a ring again...question will be if they want to try to put him in the hall of fame after some years have passed.

Not happening the guy who owns endeavor will make sure no one who will put a negative on this is seen in the company again. I’m expecting a **** ton of people gone in the coming months, fired and or naked in similar suits

The Wrestling Observer reports CM Punk suffered a significant injury during the WWE Royal Rumble Saturday night.

PWInsider reports the injury will require surgery.

His exact injury was unconfirmed by those in WWE past many confirming the injury and that as of right now the plan is to have him on the show from Tampa to address the nature of the injury.

Within the WWE the speculation was a torn triceps but nobody close enough to the situation would confirm anything more than a significant injury to be addressed on the show.

PWInsider reports a source told them, "if anyone believes for a second" that Endeavor owner Ari Emanuel wanted to discover the type of allegations brought forth in the Janel Grant lawsuit, not just about a company he purchased - but a company that has been employing his own daughter at WWE HQ for several years - they "don't know Emanuel" and they don't understand how "ferociously he will eradicate" anything that needs to be taken care of to protect his businesses.

The same source noted that if Emanuel was willing to walk away from Saudi Arabia investments years ago without "blinking an eye", he'll have no problem "removing anything and anyone still remaining" that could potentially hurt or impact WWE's business going forward."

PWInsider reports Mercedes Monè will be back working in pro wrestling by March and "not for WWE."

She is planning to visit Japan. It was said "visit" so this doesn't mean she will be wrestling, as far as what’s known, and then is expected to make a big return in the U.S.

When asked if this meant she was AEW-bound, It was said that it couldn't be confirmed. When asked if she was TNA bound, was specifically told no.

‘The belief among sources we have spoken with today is that post-surgery, CM Punk would likely need in the area of 4-6 months of recovery and physical therapy.’

- PWInsider

CM Punk is injured and out of Wrestlemania 40 and his purposed match with Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in April in Philadelphia.

WWEs workhorse

Kevin Owens worked his United States Championship match against Logan Paul this past weekend at the Royal Rumble with a fractured bone in his foot.

Fightful reports WWE sources confirmed that there have been talks between Kazuchika Okada's side and WWE.

There have been WWE talent that confirmed that over the last few weeks, Okada has been in contact with others on the roster to gauge his offers, WWE's approach, and to help weigh a decision.

PWInsider previously reported talks between Okada and WWE did not reach any great depths.

Fightful also reports AEW has been fairly confident over the last month that they would land Kazuchika Okada, to the point to where there were tentative plans in place to debut Okada, which would be well over a month from now.

AEW made what they consider a "substantial offer."

Haus of Wrestling reports they learned from a tenured WWE source that the SmackDown creative team was blown away by the reaction Trick Williams got.

The belief among some influential people in WWE now is that Trick has “future WrestleMania main eventer potential.”

There have been pitches for Tiffany Stratton to come to the WWE Raw roster, while not 100%, some believe she could be main-roster bound as early as next month.

PWInsider reports the belief is that with his long-time friendship with The Young Bucks, AEW is Kazuchika Okada's likely destination.

It was also said that if there were any discussions between Okada and WWE, they were not of any great length or depth.

Okada is being represented by Barry Bloom for negotiations with his next deal. Bloom was with him when Okada wrestled for TNA in Las Vegas. But there are no current talks between TNA and Okada and he is not expected to appear there again.

It is February 1st in Japan, Kazuchika Okada is officially a free agent.

He will wrestle his final three NJPW matches this month.

They pulled all of Okada's merch at prowrestlingtees.

Normal protocol for New Japan, but a little bit interesting that prowrestlingtees was given 12 hours notice before pulling it all down. And of course, AEW merch is all over that site. And Okada's last promos for New Japan looked more like a guy leaving forever, not a guy that shows up again due to the Forbidden Door in a few months.

INTERNATIONAL INCIDENT HAS OCCURRED AS THE CMLL WRESTLERS ATTACK JON MOXLEY AND GET CHASED OFF BY AEW ROSTER MEMBERS!!!

AEW VS CMLL INTERPROMOTIONAL WAR IS ON!!

PWInsider reports Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams are all slated for this Friday's Smackdown taping in Birmingham, Alabama.

Things look like they are about to get worse

Ann Callis, Janel Grant’s attorney, is claiming there could be more victims coming forward due to the allegations and civil lawsuit brought against Vince McMahon, WWE and John Laurinaitis.

"My office and my inbox have had a barrage of people wanting to come forward to attest about this culture of corruption and also possible victims. We are just beginning now to wade through all this but we’re frankly overwhelmed."

An experienced prosecutor, Callis knows what she will be up against if the case makes it to a jury.

“We are going against the WWE, a multi-million dollar corporation who turned a blind eye to what was happening there to Janel."

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful and Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men are reporting that Mercedes Mone will be joining the AEW roster in March.

This will likely be AFTER the AEW Revolution PPV.

WWE sources tell Sapp that they've been under the impression that Mercedes was signed to AEW for weeks now.

Pw insider reports that 2K and other commercial gaming for WWE will either downplay Brock Lesnar or flat out remove him from their games like he’s already been done in supercard. No word if he’s been removed from this years WWE2k24 or not given the game is suppose to release next month

Federal prosecutors are investigating Vince McMahon.

But it appears they've been investigating allegations toward him since last summer when they executed a search warrant, Wall St. Journal reveals.

Federal agents last summer executed a search warrant for Vince McMahon’s phone and subpoena him for documents regarding allegations of horrific acts against WWE employees past and present

Prosecutors have already interviewed several of the women McMahon paid to keep quiet.

PWInsider: The expectation from many is that Mercedes Moné is AEW bound.

One source believes that Mercedes is signed and was filming content for AEW earlier this week for usage in relation to her debut for the company.

“There are no plans at this time to use Brock Lesnar. Given his star power, saying this is forever is probably foolish.

But it’s likely not going to be any time soon.”

According to experts the NDAs Vince McMahon had Janel Grant sign may be worthless due to him not paying her all hush money he promised. He also secretly had the NDAs drafted and entered into them without #WWE’s knowledge.

All the news coming out is horrible. Many of us experienced or heard rumors of different levels of evil for years. Some tried to speak up to build momentum to change the culture in WWE. Many times we’ve been called bitter or crazy. Others have been paralyzed by fear. I just hope justice is served and I hope this brings some people peace. I pray for all of the victims, the ones that have spoke up, the ones no longer with us, and the ones that suffer in silence.

VICE reports the NDAs Vince McMahon Signed Behind WWE's Back May Be Worthless, Say Experts

The non-disclosure agreement at the center of a civil sex-trafficking suit former WWE employee Janel Grant filed last week against WWE, company founder Vince McMahon, and former executive John Laurinaitis has significant issues that could make it unenforceable, according to experts.

The issues are possibly academic in Grant’s case, as in her lawsuit, she says that McMahon didn’t pay her all of the hush money he agreed to pay her in exchange for her signing the NDA, which would almost certainly make the contract void. If similar language was used in NDAs other people signed, though—something a person familiar with the case says is a reasonable inference—they may be able to set aside the agreements

Jacob Fatu is officially a free agent, according to Rikishi and then confirmed by Bodyslam.

It was originally thought Fatu was tied down to MLW until 2025.

I’m going to pray that HHH knows what he’s doing with this Cody/Roman/Rock situation.

Smackdown went from awesome to flat really quick last night.

‘The Rock pushed super hard for it. The [WrestleMania 40] card changed when CM Punk and Brock Lesnar were out and all the dominoes fell.

Dwayne already wanted it and [WWE] felt they now needed it as well. Felt this was better to change the news flow away from Vince.’

‘Cody was the plan. Dwayne was going to face [Roman Reigns] later, maybe next year's Mania, maybe Saudi. The Vince thing ends up worse than they thought and they changed the plan.

100% it was Punk vs Seth and Cody vs Reigns until Punk got hurt.’

Remember punk’s pipebomb about the doofus son in law being no different? Yeah that parts true as can be. Outside of Cody who’s his next signature signing? Most have fallen flat. Kairi coming back was good for Damage CRL, Punk hasn’t impressed as much and now hurt again, Cody has been his best signing, DIY is 5 yrs too late now, Sorry to say but Bray despite the health issues fell flat god rest his soul, Tegan Nox has barely done anything. Flop dolla and the rest are already gone. Andrade coming back depends how they use him.

I’m only saying this because I can look at AEW and say that Mox, Toni Storm, Jonduke Takeshita, grabbing Sting, Christian, FTR, Ricky Starks have all been great signing for TK. Yes he’s had some flops and I’m sure I’m missing a few people here, but I can point to those as good signings and even brining in Kevin Kelly. I didn’t include Osprey as he hasn’t done anything with AEW yet.

I look in WWE and outside the bloodline that was before Hunter I can’t name much in terms of good stories or signing without thinking. Hunter seems to know the business, smart man etc. but don’t think for a second if he could have his way he’d pull a Vince and make sure WWE is the only game in town every week and grab up all the promotions and territories along the way

Meet the new boss same as the old boss

Fightful reports a source in WWE creative tells them that many on the creative team were deflated about The Rock taking Cody Rhodes’ spot.

They say it felt like a decision they’d hear about being made under the Vince McMahon regime at the expense of helping cultivate new crossover talent.

Fightful also reached out to over three dozen contacts within WWE across all departments.

None that got back to them even played devil’s advocate for the decision to run The Rock vs. Roman Reigns.

Everyone that they heard back from understood the business implications of running the match, but believed it wasn’t a good decision for long-term WWE business.

Many within WWE are hopeful hopeful that TKO will see the reaction and pivot.

The only way they would pivot is if the fans started booing The Rock similar to how Batist and Orton got booed after Daniel Bryan originally wasn't part of the WM30 main event, but I think the fans like The Rock and his charisma too much to do that in droves. Horrible decision by the company, and Dwayne can piss right off for making this power play and forcing him into the main event despite not being an active, full time wrestler in over 15 years.

Social media says otherwise a lot of backlash. The issue is the fans who did that back then stopped watching or moved on to other promotions

BREAKING: Bushiroad has announced that they have canceled the contract of Rossy Ogawa.

Ogawa will no longer be the executive producer for the company he created, STARDOM.

There have been rumors that Rossy Ogawa is WWE bound, according to Sean Ross Sapp

Yeah, AEW is soaring high :lmao: Punk came in to WWE and was immediately one of the most over in the company. Seeing Punk and Cody face off pre-RR, the fan reaction, the quality of work, all the different angles that could have been done... All of that could have been in AEW.

Honestly, thank god it wasn't, because TK would have no idea how to book and utilize them. But at least he has the Bucks return to save the ratings... oh wait :bag:
