well week 2 broght my qbbc a better result than week 1..... AFTER the brooks under the pile fiasco of week 1 I was just hoping for a solid game from my qb....the choice between brooks rivers and favre this week was favre....an easy choice given that brooks looked horrible and rivers wasnt allowed to throw week 1
great results week 2 with three tds and over 3 hundred yards passing.... the goal for me is to become an AVERAGE qb in my league over the whole year while paying below average prices in the draft....the first week was a disaster week 2 was great ...we shall see.... I am considring droppoing brooks for either walters or vince young..walters looked worse than brooks but may be the future...collins looked worse than brooks and young may be starting soon..... my plan is to update this each week and keep track of where I stand vs the leage hopefully by year end qb #6 or higher
After using Bledsoe in 1 for below average scores, and seeing Favre founder...
I went with Rivers against the Titans this weekend and it worked out OK. He definitely performed as an average QB. (16 points or so in my league's scoring)
Favre is starting this week due to byes.
I really think Rivers is going to be a good every week starter, though, if you're looking for an average QB. Last year, Ben Roethlisberger would give you about a TD and 200 yds a week or 2 tds and a pick with 200 yards.
after week 1 my qbbc looked to be a disastr but aftr a great week from favre things are looking up !!! my goal is to have a mid level qb and my brooks favre starting combo is at #13....not so great you say????
UNLESS you factor in who the other team stared at qb remember the object is to outscore the other teams in the league and if I take into account not starting the optimum starter for my team I must also factor in that for other teams....this is where it starts looking up for my team....when factoring in lousy starts for guys like bulger, hasslebeck, delhomme. heck even palmer through 2 games ( week 1 was a bust) then my qbbc is looking much better
my qb combo (now probably down to 2 due to the brooks trainweck and injuryafter 2 weeks raks qb#6 in points for qbs actually STARTED
HERE IS THE LIST:
1 MCNABB OWNER 75.3 POINTS
2 eli manning 69.7
3 p manning 60.2
4 warner 51.4
5 collins/pennington 47.4
6 BROOKS/FAVRE 40
7 brady 39.6
8 palmer 34.3
9 cpep 31
10 hasslebeck 30.7
11 bulger/green 19.1
12 delhome 14'7
s o the only qb ranked lower that has worked out thus far is pennington/collins and warner is working quite nicely for his owner...thus far im pleased with my qb at round 9 and later.... this week the only option is again favre and e shall see the results next week..... I plan on updating this each wek for better or for worse...a small sample to be sure but it should be interesting
Drafted Plummer and Leftwich. Started Plummer against St Louis, and lost. So I picked up Rivers on the waiver wire, debating whether or not he'd do well against Tenn. Ended up thinking Plummer would bounce back against KC and lost again. I had enough of that, so I dropped Plummer. Right now the schedule looks somewhat favorable for Leftwich, and when he's on bye, Rivers plays San Francisco in week 6. Leftwich also plays Buffalo week 12, and you could actually bench him for Rivers who plays Oakland that week.
