granted I am pretty effed up right now but that was bad a**. Lots of creative geniuses on the sidelines now.Someone recut the Rogue One trailer to Sabotage by the Beastie Boys
Can I get an update here? Can someone explain to me the Thrawn angle of Star Wars without giving up too many spoilers. Thrawn is now the villain for the upcoming Star Wars Rebels and I am unsure of his timeline. I seem to recall in other Star wars threads that he may be the main bad guy in the upcoming series but the timeline as it stands now is that he is way before where we are at in the movies.
Also its going to be curious how they weave Ezra into the movies as a bad guy because its obviously the direction the cartoon is taking him and the producers of both say the new movies and the Rebels will merge at some point
Thrawn's timeline, from what I know is cloudy. The trilogy revolved around him a bit as the main bad guy but I don't know how much the cartoon will touch on the trilogy parts. The trilogy takes place 5 years after Jedi and his rise to power is explained but not in some great detail or anything. Heir to the Empire is where to begin with Thrawn though. Can I get an update here?
I guess he's not too old for this ####.I loved him in Lethal Weapon!
The books established that the Emperor was a racist and had disdain for non-human races. Thrawn was such a tactical genius he became the only non human Grand Admiral. Despite his ability, the Emperor relegated him to The Outer Rim to subjugate it. That's why he wasn't in the OT. I know in the books, several characters lament that Thrawn wasn't in charge of supressing the Rebellion and if he were....it wouldn't have lasted long.Thrawn's timeline, from what I know is cloudy. Love it. I can't wait for the movie. (Although I do hold reservations for the star wars movies being spun off into only becoming a bunch of side stories.)
Isn't it John Williams?Who is composing the music for these trailers? I want to buy the soundtrack today.
no, this will be the first star wars movie ever with out John Williams.Isn't it John Williams?
Did not know that!no, this will be the first star wars movie ever with out John Williams.
Michael Giacchino is the guy who is scoring this movie.
That isn't Tarkin, it's a new character named Director Orson Krennic played by Ben Mendelsohn.bicycle_seat_sniffer said:Lots of grand moff tarkin!!
Star Wars Rebels gets better and seemingly more "adult" every episode. The show has a completely different feel now in early season 3 than compared to season 1. Extremely well done IMO.I was not really looking forward to this one very much, but that preview gave me a very "Star Wars Rebels" vibe and really served to pique my interest in the film.
P.S. I think I may like SW Rebels more than my 4 year old son does (bag)
As it says in big giant letters in the trailer. When is this coming out?
The music is interesting. I'm kind of a movie/trailer music geek and I liked it too but the only review I've seen of the music in the trailer was panning it pretty hard, calling it too Hans Zimmerish.no, this will be the first star wars movie ever with out John Williams.

Michael Giacchino has worked with JJ and Disney (via pixar) before which is where he likely got the job from.
He has worked on the Star Treks, Planet of the Apes, Mission Impossible Jurassic World, Zootopia, and a bunch of pixar movies.
I didn't watch the trailer yet. I am the guy who waits until the day before to watch the trailer because I hate waiting in anticipation. As it says in big giant letters in the trailer.
"DECEMBER 16"
I believe only 2 out of the 8 movies so far do not have a plot (minor (2 and 3) or major (4, 6, 7, 8) ) that involves some sort of Death Star.I think they need a movie without a death star in it....
Are you wrong about EVERYTHING?They haven't a good one in over 35 years, my expectations have slowly been lowered. The trailer looks good but they all look good.
Phantom Menace
I still get jacked at that trailer...then I remember how bad it is.
I knew you were going to come scold meAre you wrong about EVERYTHING?
ETA - PM is crap though
Can't they just put some plywood over it or something? It's lit, so ####### lit.
I did some snooping after watching this latest trailer (skeet skeet) and Nerdist came up with a very logical explanation for the weakness to the Death Star (open exhaust part leading straight to the power source) to blow up the Death Star.
It's a potentially huge spoiler but makes perfect sense. Check it out.
