Fantastic MLS player. Anchors the best defense in the league and was the Defender of the Year across the whole league. You can not overstate his performance tonight in this situation.
Zusi's spot. I am a big Zusi fan. But LD has so much soccer IQ that he makes everyone better with his play on and off the ball.

Its a bit mind boggling. His first qualifier, and only his second cap, away at Azteca? That is not a recipe for what we saw. I feel like we now have 3 CB to choose from, assuming Chandler and Cher come back for right spot. When watching Besler, remember Arena's comment about how there are many MLS players who could help the team.Not at all, really stood out to me.

Remember we said that these two games were a great chance for opportunities for new players.
You have to think a handful of players are going to make some decisions for JK this summer difficult.
This summer is going to be awesome with the fun 5 games set (2 high profile friendlies followed by 3 qualifiers).
And then when that is done we get the U20 WC.

Btw, amazingly gutty performance by DMB. He was overmatched, beaten and limping, but his effort was enormous. They kept coming after him and he kept getting back up. If MOTM was awarded on effort, its all him by a mile.
