Overall, my thought on Wayne is that if for any reason we had an injury to Robin van Persie we are going to need him. I want as many options as possible.

That's definitely a public slight.

I don't see the purpose of a comment like that. There are teams that would want him. There's no reason to insult him publicly to force a move.
