Yet another reason to dislike Liverpool.
Perhaps now they'll take Roman's £40m for Torres.
I hope not...also hope this was a sign to Torres that NESV is serious about improving the team.Perhaps now they'll take Roman's £40m for Torres.
Yep. If your goal is CL, you have to make the transition from a selling team to a buying team.I thought the same thing, but if Tottenham ever really want to have a shot again they have to stop being a farm team for the big clubs. At this point they have the talent to be in the top five for several more years. Even if they don't get a spot this year they are certainly going to be in the running again next year.Selling Bale would be so disappointing. That's really what it's going to come down to IMO. There's just so much money riding on that CL spot. Why not?Gareth Bales don't come along often. At 21, I really don't see the rush to sell him unless he wants to move. He's going to be amazingly marketable over the next few years if he keeps playing like this and it's going to net the club a lot of money. And the kid is still improving. If they miss CL, I can see a case can be made, but this is the unique talent that can break Spurs out of the middle of the pack to an upper echelon team. This kid can literally change the club's destiny and no amount of transfer money can be worth more. This is Alan Shearer at Blackburn. Don't do it 'Arry.Inter to bid £40m for Gareth Bale
This number has been tossed around for some time, but I didn't realize how rare it was for this kind of payout.
There are clearly better players, but I think it speaks as to how difficult it is to find natural left midfielders/wingbacks with that kind of pace and potential. He's gotten exceptionally better just over the course of this season and he's still only 21.I don't think Spurs can turn that down.

That's a strange landing spot for him. GS has strong history and just opened a fancy new stadium, but they're currently 7th in the fairly mediocre Turkish league.BERLIN — German media is reporting that United States midfielder Michael Bradley is on the verge of a move from Borussia Moenchengladbach to Turkish side Galatasaray.
Borussia director Max Eberl said Friday: "There is an offer for him which the club could live with and which is acceptable. Now it's up to Michael to sort his things out and reach an agreement with the club."
Bradley has scored 10 goals in 76 league games for Moenchengladbach since joining from Dutch side Heerenveen for €2.5 million ($3.43 million) in 2008.
He has made 50 appearances for the U.S. national team.
Crap, I was really hoping for the move to Sunderland.Michael Bradley to... Galatasaray?

SAF really does love him some Dutch keepers.United target Ajax GK Maarten Stekelenburg as replacement for VDS.
Haven't seen this confirmed anywhere and that initial report says on the verge. But with all the hand wringing about this, GS is a good club and there are certainly worse places to live than Instanbul (one of my favorite cities in the world tbh).Crap, I was really hoping for the move to Sunderland.Michael Bradley to... Craziest fans in the world too.He could do a lot worse- especially if they qualify for CL. If not... he could do better, but doubtful that he'd have as much talent around him, possibly... ever.Haven't seen this confirmed anywhere and that initial report says on the verge. I wouldn't sell him or Modric for any price honestly. Lennon is almost untouchable too at this point. These guys are a LOCK for top four with this squad imo.I was being a little more selfish. I'd like to see him play more often.Craziest fans in the world too.He could do a lot worse- especially if they qualify for CL. Wow. Totally forgot about this. Not the best of timing. There has to be actually a lot of precedent for this situation (international friendly or even a qualifier game where the country is in serious turmoil). While FIFA tries to keep the politicians from meddling in affairs of the National federations, what has usually happened on these occasions?-QGThe roster for the US Egypt game ( assuming they still play) will be announced next week and is expected to be heavy of players from European clubs.
Me too, gb. EPL or Serie A would put him on FSC semi-regularly which is waaaaay better for us fans. And he's one player I feel would do fine in either league.I was being a little more selfish. Based on nothing more than my foggy memory, it seems to me they usually find a neutral, and safe, spot to play. Or just bag it. I hope it's the former.Wow. Totally forgot about this. I hate that guy but he's playing great today and deserved that one.Haha, Saha!
Why the hate? I always kinda liked him... or at least how he plays.I hate that guy but he's playing great today and deserved that one.Haha, Saha!
He seems like a whiner to me and greatly underachieves for his skill. Doesn't fit in with workmanlike Everton. I love watching the Toffees because for the most part they leave it out there. excellent!gets to play with Friedl and hopefully helps them stay up. I mentioned it earlier in the tread in regards to how poorly they've been playing, but he is exactly the type and position of player they really need to help shore up their defensive MF. This makes sense for both parties, and we US fans will get to see him play!Bradley to Villa

Bayern with the 3-1 victory. Goals by Robben and Klose with an Own Goal from Mertesacker. Mertesacker also scored Bremen's goal.Bayern now up to 3rd in the table only 3 points behind second place Leverkusen. Dortmund is running away with first and currently 11 points ahead of Leverkusen.Bayern München v Werder Bremen on Gol!
That goal was kinda... wow.David Bentley>resurgence
