Seconded - but the only way it would have even been considered was not making the final
Thirded. I think we've committed to him for another cycle barring a disastrous result. Losing today would be disappointing, but not a disaster.

Adu almost looks like he's trying to do too much, perhaps overcompensating, trying to earn a full job with the team. He's been dribbling right into traffic a number of times...but if he keeps playing perfect one-touch passes like that...

I have been saying all tournament the US needs to take players on. He is doing fine I think.

Where the hell did this Adu come from?
Who knows....but it's good to see on the big stage. During the U-20 World Cup a few years ago, he was far and away the best player on the field in the US games I saw, and captained the team despite being (IIRC) the youngest player on the squad...which includes guys like Altidore, Robbie Rogers, etc.Amazing what some work ethic and a fire under your ### can do.

He's keeping the ball,so I can live with that. He's really been the one guy who has been able to keep possession.

:goodposting: we're just not used to it because the US NEVER has that skill...If a Brazilian player does it, you don't think twice.

he ctually saw the field this year for his club, even if it was the turkish second division. i don't care what league he is in next year, he needs to play every game. hopefully he continues to work hard. this is really exciting.

Tasker's forgotten more soccer than I know, but I agree w/ this. If nothing else, Adu is occupying multiple defenders.

No complaints, he's doing well with it. I just don't want to see him pushing the ball forward if it's not there and forcing turnovers.
