been following this thread for a long time and learned a loti havent posted as i feel so i know so little compared to all of youi figured this woul dbe the best spot to get my question answered:as i life long arsenal fan , my dream has been to see them play at home so would like to get over there in april/may of 2013but how do i get tickets ?
Welcome to the thread. Please post often. We all have varying degree's of knowledge but when we combine everyone niche interest, we have a relatively complete knowledge (with the Mexican league being a glaring omission). As for your specific question, this link might help you but it only shows games up through December. I am not sure if you can buy single game tickets that far in advance. http://www.arsenal.com/membership/buy-tickets

Thomas Muller just nutmegged a defender on his way to a goal.

Bayern continuing their impressive start to the season, winning 2-0 at Schalke right now.

kudos to fox soccer for giving out a spoiler alert before showing highlights for a game they will be showing later. now if we could just get fox to not run epl scores at the bottom of the screen during sunday nfl games I will be all set.

:lmao: FSC, what a bunch of jackasses. They give a spoiler alert, tell people to look away if they don't want to see what's going on in the Fulham game and then proceed to provide commentary and flat out say Rodallega scores for his new team.

they're expecting you to change the channel or mute it i guess. i appreciate the effort at least.

it's nice to see everton start the season strong for once. they don't have the depth but i think their first 11 can play with anybody.

Boy, have times changed. Commentator says that some Chelsea fans are leaving with a 0-0 score in the 83 minute. So they've gone from being thugs to a bunch of entitled weenies.

And they miss the go ahead goal.

They reportedly ran out of prawn sandwiches in the Shed End in the 80th.

:lmao: at complaining about the announcers announcing. I'll assume Christo didn't fair too well on the wonderlic

:lmao: So in your brilliant estimation they want you to change the channel? They said "look away." They didn't say to mute it. To me that means they're going to show it without commenting, exactly the same way they did with results in the Olympics.

Song starting in central defense for Barca today, giving them zero "true" center-backs.

No Xavi or Iniesta either, Cesc and Thiago starting in MF. Villa gets his first start since December.

This made me a little nervous about picking them in Survivor, but it's still Grenada, right? RIGHT!?

No to take things so literally and use some common sense

Not a true center back, but he did start a number of games back there over the years for Arsenal. Honestly, he was probably the team's second-best CB after Vermaelen.

I used common sense--the common sense I have gained from every other time I was told to look away from the screen if I didn't want to see something.

 chalk this up as a learning experience. Next time you'll know better.

So now the outlier should govern my reaction?

Am I the only one hearing these chimes in the background during the United-Liverpool game? It sounds like some guy left his phone next to a microphone and he's getting a text message every 20 seconds.

What a burst by Valencia to be first to that ball and start the break.

Very indecisive in the box though. Was lucky to draw the penalty

Didn't see the game. Is it fair to characterize the red card and the pen as soft? Sounds like it from the little I've read so far, but like I said... didn't see them myself.

The red card could have gone either way. The real problem was that Evans went in two footed, studs up just as much, if not more than Shelvey. He should have received the same punishment. The penalty was beyond soft, Valencia lost his balance. Was never a pen. Liverpool had more compelling shouts for a pen denied earlier in the match.

Valencia dove. He was never even touched. Halsey's giant mistake here was calling the penalty right away when his linesman would have had a much better view.Shelvey and Evans both went in the same way so to red card one and not the other doesn't make any sense.

Wasnt here yesterday but wanted to say that I was extremely pleased with Chelsea's performance despite the narrow 1-0 scoreline.

Di Matteo finally started Oscar, Hazard and Mata together - playing them behind Torres which led to bevy of smart passes and free flowing movement. Behind them he started Ramires in a more central midfield role along side Mikel, rather than playing him on the wing (where hes played until now). The result was excellent - Ramires ran all over the pitch and helped Cheslea dominate possession. I hope this will be his permanent position moving forward. When Victor Moses replaced Hazard, the team added width and speed on the flanks and opened up Oscar and Mata even more which led to the decisive goal. This lineup had Lampard on the bench but at 34, I dont think you can expect him to start every match anymore.

Sadly, Torres is still the weak link on the team. While hes doing much better coming back to the ball and connecting with Hazard/Mata in order to set the attack, his finishing is still mediocre. I dont know how much longer Di Matteo will stick with him as the clear cut #1 striker - at the very least, Id prefer to see him rotate he and Sturridge to see if the offense is more potent with a different forward in the game.

Unfortunate to give up a goal like that right before the half after playing so well thus far. Arsenal's midfield looks fantastic today. City's forwards look so dangerous every time they're on the ball though.

Can someone give me some background w/r/t to the Hillsborough incident and ManU supporters specifically? I know SAF wrote an open letter this week telling them to chill out.

Atleti up 2-0 on Valladolid, and and look well in control, as you'd expect against a team like Valladolid when playing at home.

I will laugh so hard if RM falters in Vallecas today. Too bad Barça can't screw up...
