Uruguay with a penalty at the end win!

Doesn't really change the picture for Argentina but suddenly Ecuador is on the outside looking in.

Argentina qualify with a win or tie at Montevideo.

They finish 5th if they lose to Uruguay and Ecuador does not beat Chile.

They are out if they lose to Uruguay and Ecuador wins at Chile (who has nothing to play for).

There's a very real chance that they could be gone. Though that late goal saved them from a much worse scenario (the Uruguay game would've become must win to avoid the playoff).

GrantWahl U.S. surprise is Casey starting in place of Altidore. Why? Perhaps Bradley planning on more crosses with Holden in for Dempsey.

GrantWahl Bradley might also argue that Casey is sharper than Altidore, who hasn't played much recently for Hull. No evidence of Altidore injury.

Connor Casey sucks but he isn't playing too poorly here. He is doing a good job holding up some of these and did a nice job springing Holden.
