It trips me out that Israel is in the EURO cup.

Do they just do this for safety issues or what? Israel would have qualified easily for the World Cup through Asia.

They are saying contusion, but I agree with you. Looks like a broken bone with that much swelling. I broke a bone at the base of my thumb as a kid and it looked like that.

This is arguably the best game I've seen in 2009. Not quite as good as the US/Spain Confederations Cup game, but that game tops this only because of the result - this game is simply one of the most exciting games I've seen in a long, long time.

I can't remember the last time Golden Goal was used in a real competition....02 World Cup maybe? FIFA got rid of it for major tournaments years ago (except for beach soccer, apparently, according to Wiki)...
