I was trying to watch some of the LA at Seattle game but it was difficult. The 1st LA goal was an impressive shot and would have been an even more impressive save by Keller. Got his hands on it. Becks open at the corner of the box should have done better with the ball shortly after. Very sad attempt
However... I found the portion i watched to be very much one guy dribbling as fast as he can until he ran into someone, then that person dribbling back the other was as fast as he can until he ran into someone, etc, etc. all at 100MPH. Very hard to watch. There was no control, no passing, just 100mph back and forth. I really hope the rest of the game was better.
Mr. Ferguson got a five match ban this morning for his remarks about Atkinson. Kind of hypocritical that his comments came the game after Clattenburg gave Rooney a pass on the elbow so I don't feel so bad for him. It was actually a three match ban, but he took a ban last year and had two games suspended based on his behavior this year.
How much does this affect teams anyway? I guess it would depend on the manager, but I can't seem to get a good grasp on how much of a blow this is to a team (if it is really a blow at all). For the NFL it would be a big blow, for MLB a much smaller blow. I would guess soccer would be somewhere in the middle (generally speaking), but probably more akin to MLB.
That he did. I dont think it will be much of a problem (and he is appealing). It just means he doesnt coach during the games, but he is still involved with practice and the teams selection i believe. Ban starts 3/22 so he will be involved vs bolton this weekend.
he misses games against west ham away, fuhlam at home. FA Cup Semis vs City (this may hurt), Everton at home.
Now here is the interesting part: Depending on the rescheduled Newcastle game, he may miss that or may have to miss Arsenal at the Emirates, which could decide the EPL. THAT is where the issues may come in. But who knows.
and finally, it was mentioned above, but it makes me laugh:
-- Chad Ochocinco to Tryout for MLS --
AP reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco will try to play a different kind of football during the NFL lockout. Never short on publicity-grabbing ideas, the Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver is set for a four-day tryout with Sporting Kansas City of Major League Soccer starting Tuesday. The club said Wednesday that after the tryout, it would determine whether to extend the trial period. "We're always searching for players who can help our team and bringing in new talent," Sporting Kansas City manager Peter Vermes said. "We know that Chad is an exceptional athlete and that he loves the sport of soccer, and he did play a lot when he was younger. We're excited to see how his skills will translate once he arrives next week and begins training with our team." Ochocinco started playing soccer at age 4 but chose to focus on football in high school. "Due to the NFL lockout, I'm excited to be able to follow
my childhood dream of playing for a Major League Soccer team," Ochocinco said.
born January 9, 1978, MLS wasnt even a league in his childhood! ok, maybe he meant a "major soccer league" team?
