Can't wait for Saturday. Last time I saw the usmnt in person was at WC2006.
Landon grew up playing with Spanish speaking kids which is where he picked it up.I'm watching this pregame show on univision (I'm not sure why) and they just interviewed Landon (didn't know he could speak Spanish). He told them he had no preference between Mexico and Honduras. That's an interesting viewpoint.
That is a good sign because if Mexico wins tonight, they are likely to drive the ball down the US throat allowing for chances to counter.Beautiful counter-attack!
I don't speak any Spanish. Is that Marcelo Balboa in the middle?I'm watching this pregame show on univision
Yes.I don't speak any Spanish. Is that Marcelo Balboa in the middle?I'm watching this pregame show on univision
Apparently Puerto Rico has their own version of Univision that's showing some stupid talkshow instead of the game. No, Univision is.Is FSC carrying Mexico Honduras tonight?
It was chippy at parts, too. Mexico is pressuring everything and I would expect an early 2nd half Mexican goal. I don't see a Honduran goal coming.I am very impressed with Honduras. After a rocky first 20 minutes they gave as good as they got. Not sure they can do it for another 45 though.
I was at the GC '09 final debacle. :headasplode:Hope you bring better luck and better results from the US.Can't wait for Saturday. Last time I saw the usmnt in person was at WC2006.
Even given the name, I had no idea he spoke Spanish. Used to play youth ball against him a few times a year and at regional camps. He was good.I don't speak any Spanish. Is that Marcelo Balboa in the middle?I'm watching this pregame show on univision
I am still very impressed. This half is very even. Still think Mexico is going to break through but Honduras is not playing scared at all.It was chippy at parts, too. Makes sense. Mexico in the finals means huge ratings for Univision.wow... still 0-0 for Honduras and Mexico... lol- my CRT TV is so old, I can't even read game clock. 60-something? 80-something? no idea. Funny to me- my Spanish is non-existant, but I'm getting the impression the announcers and broadcast are decidedly pro-Mexico.
Damn nice save!I am still very impressed. This half is very even. Still think Mexico is going to break through but Honduras is not playing scared at all.It was chippy at parts, too. I'll take some reds and/or 2nd yellows too.eat: doh.... meant to reply to my extra 30 minutes post.Wait- so btw- the US had that much trouble with Panama, and Panama was missing arguably their best/most dangerous player in Perez?
Thought that was in for sure. It's only a matter of time.Oh Hernandez missed a great chance.
It was not a good game at all for the US. If you watched the post game they made it seem like the US played well. They did not. In fact the goal came slightly against the run of play.Wait- so btw- the US had that much trouble with Panama, and Panama was missing arguably their best/most dangerous player in Perez?
Ugh.I didn't watch the post-game... I was on the phone screaming at Time Warner Cable. It was not a good game at all for the US. If you watched the post game they made it seem like the US played well. Bernardez and Portillo are out if Honduras advances. Marquez was the only Mexican with a card coming into the game. With all these yellows is anyone out of finals for either team yet?
I think he stayed on. No idea why fans cheered so much.was that a red? hey broadcast, how about a little help ehre?
The new format was tossed. The format is now the same as it has been for a few cycles now. US does not enter until 3rd round. Needs to finish in top 2 to make hex.So.This GC making anybody else nervous about WCQ, especially given the new format?
ESPN mathc-stats says no to the red.Is that a red(second yellow)? Fans are cheering so much
wait... what?when did that happen- and more importantly, did I already comment on it? it's not even ringing bells right now.The new format was tossed. How many corrupt FIFA officials does it take to screw in a light bulb?Seep Blatter is in attendance tonight. Insert your own joke.
Just one. Provided he has a million dollars and a knighthood at his disposal. How many corrupt FIFA officials does it take to screw in a light bulb?Seep Blatter is in attendance tonight. Insert your own joke.
