EXACTLY...what have I been saying!!! you guys know how much I love Buddle. All of a sudden Buddle and Chandler want to play(and this is just a friendly) after dissing Bradley in the Gold Cup.

Love that Adu is a shoe-in invite now...we need his ball skills...I really hope he gets a fair shot from Klinsman.

How long is Holden out for? Jesus.

ESPN reporting that Wenger has agreed to sell Fabregas.Good thing I changed my avatar yesterday.
I think most Arsenal fans would be relieved. That whole Fabregas thing would beat me down as long as it's drug on.
I can't speak for the other fans, but I checked out long long ago. I don't think it's a great move for him (or Barca, for that matter), but the guy wants to go home. Let him be happy. Wilshere came into his own last year and, IMO, established himself as one of the best center mids in the league. Alex Song, while he doesn't have the mean streak of a guy like Patric Vieira, is a more-than-capable holding CM. Aaron Ramsey appears to be fully back in the fold, and Diaby will be back in a month.I really have no qualms about Arsenal's midfield at all if Fabregas goes.
I agree with all of this. Curious where you saw the report, I can't seem to find anything new yet.
ESPN's Barca sideline reporter reported it during the second half of the Barca/Chivas game as "BREAKING NEWS".

A Redcardo Clark sighting! And DMB is tanned, rested and ready!Kind of an interesting list. Castillo and Orozco has seemed well off the Nats radar for awhile. I might have liked to have seen George John, just to see if he could be a bit more mobile that Ream. Or maybe Whitbread.

This is a sanctioned international friendly, but no Deuce. Also interesting that for all the talk that Klinsmann would favor attacking midfielders, we get five holding mids (some of whom can certainly play more box to box, but still).

Note that he didn't say that Fabregas to Barca was confirmed. He just said that one of the major hangups in the negotiations was that Wenger hadn't agreed to let him go, and his "sources" said that Wenger had agreed to let him go if the deal was right.

The Bundesliga season kicks off today with Borussia Dortmund v Hamburger SV being shown at 2:30 eastern on Gol TV.

Gol is also showing Suttgart v Shcalke 04 on Saturday at 9:30am.

I'm sure espn3 will be showing some matches as well. I can't access that site from work to confirm.

Someone explain this Cosmos game today. They are trying to get into mls in 2 years but they have an academy and some throw ins. Never seen anything like this. Am I missing something

The Gunners were seeded for the draw in Nyon, and will face a two-legged fixture over August 16/17 and 23/24, which is sandwiched between some tough Premier League games against Newcastle, Liverpool and Manchester United.Arsene Wenger, Robin Van Persie and Samir Nasri are all suspended for the first game after being handed bans for their actions in the 3-1 defeat to Barcelona last season.
:wall: Wenger has to play Cesc if he isn't sold yet.

There was another meeting between Arsenal and Barça reps on the Cesc front. It sounds like Arsenal wants 45m€ for Cesc, which isn't THAT outrageous, except when you figure that Cesc won't be a starter for a while.

Can anyone direct me at some (preferably free) Fantasy Premier League advice sites. I'm joining an EPL fantasy league through my local and I'd love to get some advise on team building against the salary cap (percentages per position and so on), outlook on players that should expect to play the full 90 minutes, and so on. Doing a "fantasy football advice" and the like search on google.co.uk got me limited results, with most of the sites being defunct.

Any pointers or links you guys can provide would be quite appreciated.

(Didn't think this should be its own post. Let me know if this doesn't belong here and I'll break it out).

I believe if they play Cesc then sell him, Barca can't use him in the CL.This Udinese tie is going to be real interesting for Arsenal. A loss and the fan base is in meltdown mode before the season even gets going.

His value goes way down if he's cup-tied for the CL. Wenger is too smart of a bottom-line manager to do something crazy like that.

If they play him he stays at Arsenal for another year. And they should play him. For Arsenal and Cesc's sake. This is a huge game and Arsenal needs to be selfish here. Unless of course he actually isn't fit enough to contribute.

This was all explained previously. My St Pauli team was relegated.

PSG playing on FSC right now. I believe this is the first French soccer game I've ever watched. As expected, one team has a pink strip on their kit. I'm a bit disappointed that I haven't seen anyone take a break to smoke a cigarette or have a glass of wine yet.

Bayern is the polar opposite of St. Pauli

Pep is not messing around today. Put out the strongest lineup possible for todays match vs Club America on ESPN 2 right now.

Maybe have an existential debate on whether the ball actually exists or not?
