They dont' strictly "count" for 2. However, if the total goals are equal (say 3-3 as it is now), they go with away goals as the determining factor. Thus, the goal-away advantage "counts" like 2 goals in determining the winner.BTW, CRonaldo looks like he wants this one.

And if this game ends up 2-2? Sorry for the noob questions!

Don't know if I've mentioned it before, but I HATE Comcast!

Ever since they "upgraded" a few months back I've had problems with my dvr recording partial programs. Once again today I only get the first half of a match.

won't solve the problem. DVR was set to record 150 minutes and only recorded 112. It's an issue with Comcast's software.

Both MLS teams won tonight in the CCL making them a perfect 4-0-0 so far. Toronto is the last MLS team to play tomorrow.

Colorado beat the El Salvadoran champs 3-2 at home. One of the strangest first 45 minutes I have ever watched

- Colorado with 5 games in 15 days decides to start a half A squad, half reserve squad sitting many of their best players

- Litterally 6 seconds after the opening kickoff, Colorado's defense was split in two and they had to yank down the striker in the box. Lucky it was not a red but it was a PK. In a blink they are behind 1-0

- Colorado gets a hold of the game and starts to play better and gets back the equalizer

- Shortly there after the Colorado keeper made horrendous give away while trying to start a break and he got chipped to make Colorado down again, this time 2-1

- Later in the half, Metapan again broke through the midfield and got into the box and the striker was dragged down. ref does nothing, but AR raises flag. ref immediately points to spot. Metapan lines up to take PK when ref starts to talk to the AR. Turns out the AR was calling for offside, not a foul.

- After being inches away from going up 3-1, Metapan has a horribly mistimed karate kick to a Rapids players chest and gets a straight red card

- Late in the half, Colorado gets a goal back to draw level at 2-2

- Second half was as uneventful as the first half was crazy. Rapids scored the winner early in the half and then saw the game out relatively quietly.

FC Dallas traveled to Mexico City to take on Pumas and because the first US based team (club or country) to win a game in Mexico, 1-0

-While this sounds impressive, it needs to be taken with a huge grain of salt as Pumas started a glorified youth team with a few veterans sprinkled in. In the second half Pumas brought on some better talent but was too late

- Shea was active as always but has played better games.

I may be crazy but if Dallas can get out of the group( of which getting 3 points in Mexico should give them a great chance) they might have a chance to win the whole thing. Remember that as good as Dallas is right now, they are missing last years league MVP who is hurt. He might be back for the knock out stages of the CCL making Dallas even stronger.

Barcelona v Real Madrid: Jose Mourinho the biggest winner because once again we're all talking about him

Every single word is music to his ears. Every complaint, every accusation feeds his ego, swells his pride. Every allegation simply augments his achievement. Last night was a good night for Jose Mourinho. Despite defeat, despite disgrace, it was a fine evening, because this morning, we are all talking about him.

Gerard Pique is talking about his extreme motivational techniques "destroying Spanish football," his efforts to work up his Real Madrid players to such a pitch of hysteria so successful, so intense that nearly every clash with their bitterest, fiercest foes Barcelona seems to end in a mass brawl.

El Gran Clasico has always been hard fought, savagely contested. It has not always climaxed in a scrap.

"Someone has to take action on the matter," said Pique, in the breathless aftermath of Barcelona's 3-2 win at Camp Nou last night, a game of beauty bruised by pictures beamed around the world of Marcelo attempting to snap Cesc Fabregas in two, of dozens of very rich, very talented men, chests puffed with machismo and veins pumping with testosterone, butting each other like randy stags.

"I'm just stating a fact: there were no ballboys in the second half, which is something typical of small teams when experiencing difficulties.

And again, everyone has to talk about him. His outrageous claims, his joie de theatre, his sense of drama and his ability to generate headlines. Last night was just the latest instalment of the Mourinho show. Filmed on location in Portugal, London, Milan and Madrid. Co-starring Aitor Karanka, Steve Clarke and Rui Faria as Jose's straight man, the Watson to his Holmes, the Bert to his Ernie, the Black to his Decker. Where every episode ends with some ludicrous quote, a denouement of fight or farce, and then the drums hit.

It is an act we do not seem to grow tired of, despite the fact that it is incredibly tiring. It is a show that keeps being recommissioned, that receives no censor or censure. In an age of entertainment as distraction, where the glowing banalities from the glowing box are designed not to stimulate or to inform but to numb and to dull, it is fitting. The Mourinho Show exists not to bring us closer, as he pretends, to the truth, but to mask it from us.

And it is because that truth is not palatable to the Portuguese's mind. It is a truth that changes, that bends and twists. And it is this: the Best Coach In The World is not a good enough coach to catch Barcelona. Even with the most expensively-assembled squad in the world, Guardiola's imps are just too good, too great. They are not only victorious, but they are stylish, admirable.

He has Cristiano Ronaldo, the second best player in the world. He has the second best side in the world. But that is what he is. He is the manager of the second best team in the world. It is not too much of a stretch to suggest that he is the second best coach in the world. And the whole edifice of Mourinho is predicated on him being a bit better than that.

It was not the same at Chelsea. There, the show was designed to mask the fact that, despite all of the money he had thrown at him, he did not win the Champions League and he did not create a side that played attractive football. They were effective, impressive, but they were functional.

So, too, Inter, a team of obdurate functionality that was constructed for one season and one season alone, a campaign of great success but little style. He won Serie A when Serie A was a given, and he won the Champions League because Bojan missed a simple header.

That is not to say that Mourinho is not a great manager. He clearly is. But he is not as good as he wishes to be. The show is designed to disguise that.

It is just a shame we all keep watching.
