they were talking about this on local Boston sports radio yesterday. The local fans seem obsessed that Liverpool is going to be the ruination of the Red Sox. Just another black mark on the sport of soccer in the eyes of the neutrals in my sad region of the country.

Today is round 34 of the Bundesliga

There are still a few things up for grabs.

Dortmund, Bayern and Schalke have all secured group level entry into Champions League and Gladbach has secured playoff round entry.

Leverkusen and Stuttgart are in for Europa, but their entry stage is in the air. Leverkusen is a point ahead and is currently looking at group stage with Stuttgart at playoff stage. They could switch.

Hannover currently are in position to enter Europa at 3rd round qualifying at 45 points. But, Wolfsburg at 44, Bremen and Nürnberg at 42 have chances.

Kaiserslautern have secured straight relegation. Köln is in the relegation playoff position with Hertha Berlin two points back in a straight relegation slot.

Our season starts tomorrow, and I think we're in trouble. We've only had 1 practice so far, which consisted of 6 of us playing pickup with random guys in the park. This is our second season in the "league one" of our local soccer pyramid. We tied for 11th out of 14 last year after being promoted after the summer 2010 season. We finished above relegation, but due to some major shakeups, the competition looks a lot stiffer this year. The teams who finished 10th and 13th folded altogether, and 14th was sent down. One team dropped all the way from the premier league into our league after a winless season last year. We play them tomorrow night, and I have a feeling it might be a bloodbath.

yeah, it's the opposite here. Why aren't your winter seasons outdoors? I actually didn't play at all this winter indoors. I'm starting to get butterflies a full 30-ish hours ahead of gametime.
