My guess is he won't be but may be one of the stand by players in case some one gets injured. Adu is helped by the fact that Shea still can't regain his form but is hurt by the fact that DMB just completed a very good year in Mexico and his experience could be called on for qualifying.

I don't think he will be either which is a shame. I watch Adu, and then I watch some of the mediocrity that makes our roster and I have to scratch my head. Adu was the arguably the best player on the pitch during olympic qualifying. The last USMNT action he got he was terrific. (vs. Mexico) Every time I watch him in MSL he makes plays...something that most Americans can't do.With his age and relative upside, I just don't get it. I realize he's a defensive liability but he's exactly the kind of MF I want to plug in when we're down a goal with 30 to play. /rant

I will give you he is an enigma.But the only way he is going to get consistent call ups is to produce better at the club level. In all the years he has never been able to be consistent at the club level. This is multiple, teams, coaches, countries and team mates so there is only on variable left and that is Freddy himself.

yes the feeds come from England.You prefer to have a thousand commercial breaks per half rather than a free flowing sport? I don't get that.If you need a bath room break or a quick trip to the fridge, you can always just hit pause on the DVR.

So, maybe this isn't the best time for it, but can we start speculating on the futures of Tim Ream and Stu Holden now?

I think they will both stay. Ream isn't good enough to start jumping ship and Holden isn't really in a position to sell himself given how long he has been injured.

This was my thought too. Holden is definitely capable of playing in the EPL but I think the injury might hold him back. If he has a strong first half, I wonder if he'll be a topic of January transfe rumors.

Bayern is actually the favorite since they'll be playing at their home stadium. Looks like they're 4/9 on a lot of sites. Might see some movement towards Chelsea after Bayern's debacle against Dortmund yesterday.

I thought at the time the QPR players might have seen the bench going crazy and had let down. Wouldn't be surprised to hear them say it was so. Great example of why it's a good idea to have the games kick off at the same time.And credit where it's due... Ferguson was extremely gracious in defeat.

I don't understand how you can be a fan of soccer and not watch EPL.I'm not being critical, I just don't understand it.

I just prefer watching Bundesliga and La Liga matches. If I'm going to put aside the time to watch/record a match it's going to be from one of those leagues. As a long time Nationalmannschaft fan I have a long standing dislike of the English national team and that translates to its players and their clubs as well.That's one of the beauties of being a sports fan. Sometimes trying to rationalize who you like or dislike, or why, doesn't always make sense.

Trying to think of how two different games affected two teams like this. It was only for the MLB playoffs but last year the only way for Tampa to make the playoffs that night was if they won and Red Sox lost in the last game of the season. In the span of a couple of minutes the Red Sox blew a lead in the 9th and Tampa won in extra innings.

Very worried about Spurs CL spot. Even though they managed to finish fourth, the WBA keeper single-handedly giving Arsenal the game is the sort of thing that makes me paranoid that Chelsea will win. Fate toying with your emotions, so to speak.

Too bad Málaga actually won yesterday vs. Gijón. My boys finished a respectable 5th, which is pretty damn good considering that they were 11th halfway through the season (and only a few points from the relegation zone).

The story of yesterday though was the collapse of Villarreal, which needed a point to stay up and failed to get it against my Atleti, while Rayo won in the final seconds, sending the yellow submarine to new depths in la segunda next year.

I don't recall a collapse of this magnitude in recent la liga history. Villarreal finish in 4th in the 2010-2011 season and played in the CL Group stage in the 2011-2012 season. They finished the Group stage without a single point though. From Champions League to playing in la segunda in one season. Man, what a catastrophe for them. They simply couldn't score goals this season, finishing 3rd from the bottom in goals scored and only scored 2 goals in 6 CL Group games. Yikes.

Málaga needs to up their talent some more still. To compete with Valencia, Atlético, Sevilla, and Athletic (the 2nd tier in terms of talent) they'll need to invest in some strikers. Maybe they'll spend some bucks on David Villa?
