Jamaica looks to be starting in a 4-3-3 tonight Here is their starting lineup which appears to have been released earlier, than normal, assuming this is correct (read it on Big Soccer)

Dwayne Miller

Nyron Nosworthy

Adrian Mariappa

Lovel Palmer

Jermaine Taylor

Rodolph Austin

Jason Morrison

Je-Vaughn Watson

Luton Shelton

Kavin Bryan

Omar Cummings

That being said I would be more than happy with 3 points even if it get scored off the refs knee from a clearance.
the guys on ESPN predicted a draw. I would be very happy with 3, but am not expecting it...not with the this cluster#### of a midfield and less than ideal Dempsey.Jozy really needs to step up tonight...he looks like a worldbeater in club play and then disappears against Jamaica?? Is he our Messi?

If Swansea can play in the EPL and AS Monaco can play in France, I'm guessing Barcelona would stay in La Liga even after the revolution.
I wonder how many other domestic leagues this happens in?Obviously MLS has the Canadian clubs to go along with the ones you mentioned. I believe the A League in Australia has a team from New Zealand

You could argue that no team has been more impressive world wide in these couple of qualifiers than Colombia.

First they thumped a very good Uruguay team 4-0 at home and then today they went on the road in beat a good Chilean team 3-1. Chile had not lost a game at home in 4 years.

Good link thanks. I need to dig through that list and see how many are in the top division of the domestic league.

FC Büsingen and their town are particularly interesting.

I had hoped coming into these two games that Jozy would be able to step up. Now he is not even starting in the biggest game of Klinsmann's regime so far. :sadbanana:

Maybe the midfield will look like this

............Williams

Zusi......Jones.........Torres

With Torres pinching to give Fab maybe room to go forward.

Wingless wonders indeed :(

A little dramatic, but true. Herc has earned some PT, but Jozy needs to become the dominant force we think he can be.

Guat is up 1-0 over Antigua after 29 minutes. Ruiz again. His 53rd for his country. Half volley from 30 yards into upper corner according to Fifa commentary.

Meaningless factoid of the night

Jamaican player Luton Shelton is the only player in FIFA history to score 4 goals on his international debut.

College

Zusi played college soccer at the University of Maryland, College Park. During his college career Zusi played in 89 games, recording 28 goals and 20 assists, and helped Maryland win the National Championship in 2005 and 2008, scoring the game-winning goal in the 2008 National Semi-Final and Championship Games.

During his college years Zusi also played with Central Florida Kraze in the USL Premier Development League.[3]

Professional

Zusi was drafted in the second round (23rd overall) of the 2009 MLS SuperDraft by the Kansas City Wizards. He made his professional debut on 21 March 2009, in Kansas City's first game of the 2009 MLS season against Toronto FC.[4]

Zusi enjoyed a breakout season in 2011 helping the renamed Sporting Kansas City franchise to an Eastern Conference championship and earning a call-up to the U.S. national team. His efforts were rewarded by Sporting with a new four-year contract announced on February 16, 2012.[5]

International career

On January 21, 2012, Zusi made his debut for the senior side of his country (as a starter) in a 1-0 win over Venezuela in a friendly match. On January 25, 2012, Zusi scored his first international goal in the ninth minute against Panama in a 1-0 victory.

I went to a World Cup Qualifier against Jamaica at RFK in 1997(?). At least half the crowd was Jamaican that night.

Looks almost 100% American tonight.
