Even for those that hate him, that Suarez dive in front of Moyes was hilarious.
Can someone unpack this one for me? Haven't seen any highlights or anything.
Before the game Moyes was calling Suarez out as a diver. To celebrate his goal, Suarez ran right the the Everton sideline and did a running dive. One of my favorite FIFA celebrations. I call it the dead man.
always bugs me, same thing happens in football(American). My gif
 Loved it then and love it now.
I don't like when goal scorers run past their teammates in order to do their pre-scripted celebration schtick

Hated it.
Yeah, I think Liverpool fans are a bit out of touch if they think that is going to be seen as anything but a jackass being a jackass.
One player was carded for diving in that match. It wasn't Suarez. The celebration was perfect for the smack Moyes was talking.
Sure, because Suarez has never taken a dive before.

Sorry Goodell. I don't like it when teammates get in the way of a goal scorer with some good pre-scripted schtick in mind.

You didn't build that

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Klinsmann%20Dive1. Klinsmann Dive

An act that Jurgen Klinsmann took up during his time at Tottenham. It was widely spread that Klinsmann went down too quickly under tackles and dived a lot. After learning of this he used his goal celebrations in the same manner, by sliding across the floor on his stomach. Inventing the Klinsmann Celebration/Dive.

I don't get all the drama over the Clattenburg incident. These guys are mic'ed up, so shouldn't they just be able to review the tapes and get on with it?

Either way, this guy seems like a real treat.

Mark Hughes was one of a number of managers who welcomed Clattenburg back saying he was a "good referee" and the game "needed" men of his talent but in December 2009 Hughes, then in charge of Manchester City, at least temporarily changed his mind. The Welshman was left furious after accusing Clattenburg of asking the City bench "How do you work with Craig Bellamy all week?" in a game against Bolton during which he sent the forward off for a second yellow card offence.

Fair question

Thinking I might take the six year old to a home playoff game. He's been once, but I think he'd like it a lot more with a bigger crowd and the playoff atmosphere.
DC will host at least one playoff game but it is a Wednesday night (week from tomorrow) against NY as the second leg in a home and home.

Reading equalizes 5-5

He's not white, he's not black

he comes from a place not far from Iraq

he plays up front and he plays in attack

he's our mate - Pavel Pogrebnyak

GK: Woz

DEF: Lahm, Kompany, Silva, Marcelo

DEF MID: De Rossi, Pirlo

ATT MID: Hazard, Iniesta, Ronaldo

FWD: Messi
This was the defense I had in mind when I started mine(before adding YaYa,too). HAD to get Alonso in there though ahead of Marcelo

Curious that BEin gives Barca/Alaves (3rd tier) the nod over Arsenal/Reading. The latter is at least two top-division clubs, and Arsenal's obviously no slouch re: stateside fans. Very curious.

Anyway, this Barca game is the same old same. Just knocking it around the field, up 2-0, controlling the affair almost completely. Hey, Dos Santos is on!

Yeah, LB is tricky. I think there have been quite a few picks there, and none of them have been particularly bad.I think I tried to emphasize having a bit more midfield creativity. Although it was hard leaving off Falcao.

Nobody declines to sing karaoke, that's for sure.

This is kind of neat. I knew the 4-2-3-1 was kind of the "it" formation of the moment, but I didn't realize it was so prevalent. The 4-4-2 is practically going the way of the Dodo.

Formations used in the top 5 leagues
Pretty cool. Even if you group those 4411's in with the 442's, they're still pretty similar. The 41212 always cracks me up.
It's so weird, because touchline hugging wingers just don't exist anymore. They all cut inside (except for Valencia, who is my favorite throwback). I'm thinking a 24 year old David Beckham would still play as a deep lying CM today. Not as a wing.

Lots of good action in the capital One (Carling) cup yesterday and today. Tons of scoring and action for those with BeIn channel. Bad news for Dempsey - missed a penner and Spurs eliminated by Norwich City.

Kinnear continues to get results out of a team with very limited talent. He is a very under appreciated coach in the US ranks.

Now on the the somewhat intriguing LA Vancouver game tomorrow night in which there is a minor possibility (I would say less than 5%) that it might be Landon's last soccer game ever.

The DC NY series has switched home games due to Hurricane Sandy.

DC will now host the first game on Saturday and NY gets the return leg next Wednesday.

Chelsea seems like they're really trying to win everything. #1 goalie in a Capital Cup game?
I have to think some of that was a reaction to Saturday's gameGiven the controversy and subsequent loss, I'm sure Chelsea's powers that be had no interest in losing twice in a week to Man UHad it been Reading or someone, I am not sure they would have played the same lineup
