Just resting for the USMNT match, surely. Kudos to their managers for taking the US international duties so seriously.

and Lichaj didn't get the call, right?
The roster has not been announced for Honduras. You might be confusing the January camp with the WCQier roster.Should both Fab and Cher be out for Honduras, the fullbacks will likely be chosen from Parkhurst, Chandler, Castillo and Cameron (assuming we can find a CB to replace him).

Jozy scored again for AZ. He is up to 15 now on the season. He had 15 all of last season, in which was a bit of a break out year for him in Europe. He has 14 league games left in this season. He has a chance to break the scoring record for an American in European league play. I think Dempsey holds the record for most league goals in a year with 17 if I am not mistaken.

After 2 games complete for every team in African Cup of Nations, only one team has advanced to quarter finals (IC) and only one team has been eliminated (Algeria). Today group A tries to sort out its mess with the typical last game being played simultaneously. Here are ther permeations for Group A from wikiSouth Africa will advance if:they do not lose to Morocco, ORCape Verde do not defeat Angola.Cape Verde will advance if:they defeat Angola, ORthey draw with Angola ANDSouth Africa defeat Morocco, ORSouth Africa draw with Morocco ANDCape Verde outscore Morocco, ORCape Verde and Morocco score equal goals ANDCape Verde have a better booking record than Morocco, ORCape Verde and Morocco have an equal booking record AND Cape Verde win by drawing of lots.Morocco will advance if:they defeat South Africa, ORthey draw with South Africa AND Cape Verde draw with Angola ANDMorocco outscore Cape Verde, ORMorocco and Cape Verde score equal goals ANDMorocco have a better booking record than Cape Verde, ORMorocco and Cape Verde have an equal booking record AND Morocco win by drawing of lots.Angola will advance if they defeat Cape Verde AND Morocco do not defeat South Africa.

CAPE VERDE!!!
crazy stuff. South Africa was minutes away from an embarrassing crash out in the first round at home and pulled it out in the 86th minute.Pretty cool for Cape Verde as I think this is there first time ever qualifying and they made it through to the quarter finals now. They knocked off Cameroon on the way to the finals too.

Atletico, more like UNAtletico, amirite?
Hells yes. They subbed half the team today though. Only Diego Costa was a real threat offensively. Saving it up for the next few weeks methinks. They could afford to drop a few points and still be in the CL hunt (especially w/ Málaga out). Better to get through Sevilla in the Copa semi.

Nick DeLeon has been called up again by T&T whom he is eligible to play for through his father. He turned them down once last year. Would have been nice if he got a call into the January camp to make him feel like he is on the US radar. He could be an important player for the 2018 cycle.

Bayern beat Stuttgart 2-0 and Leverkusen drew 0-0 with Freiburg. This increases Bayern's lead to 11 points two games into the second half of the season.

USMNT U20 Marc Pelosi had a really good game today for Liverpool U21 against Wolves U21. Knocked in a goal and supplied an assist, both while playing LB.

It's awesome to watch the lower league teams play the big teams at home. Too bad we don't have more of those.

I love Oldham now just based on that tin shed they play in.
