Who does me, the casual US fan, want to win this Mexico-Honduras game?
I say Mexico if you have to pick a side but others may disagree. I'm more worried about competing with Honduras et al for 2/3/4 than Mexico for 1. Draw would probably be the best result.
This early in the hex, we want everyone to draw if possible. I have no idea what Cantor is saying and gives me goose bumps.

A outright win by Mexico. There's no way they're going to miss qualifying, better that Honduras come away with nothing.
I think it is more complicated than that. Mexico plays CR in the last game. We want them to have something to play for so that they don't send a B squad to CR.

Is there any chance they don't have a spot locked up by their last game? That would be quite a shock, no?

Mexico has typically struggled on the road in the hex. No one expected then to drop any points at home which they already have. The draw against Jam opened up some possibilities that will be effectively close with their first win in Honduras since 1993 if they pull this off.

Colombia continues to play very very well. They crushed Bolivia 5-0 today at home. They sit in second now, 7 points clear of the playoff spot.

I did read it - and I empathize with the burnout. But I still think something happened between LD and Klinsmann that has kept him away from the USMNT since Klinsmann took over.
Do you think he coincidentally had a simultaneous falling out with Bruce Arena, or has he been ditching his club team just to cover up his absence from the national team?

Is this selective memory or does Hernandez score more goals from in close than almost any other player? It is such a unique pure poachers instinct he has.

I don't think this is possible though. There's no way the logical side of my brain can overrule the Mexico hatred so I could sit there watching a game, wanting Mexico to win. I guess perhaps if it were the last game and a Mexico win would directly put the US through, but even that would be very hard to fathom imo.

DMB to the rescue!

CRC: Navas, Gamboa, C Gonzalez, Umana, Bolanos, Oviedo, B Ruiz, Saborio, Barrantes, A Rodriguez, Miller

With the conditions, pretty soccer will likely not be in play. Hopefully the US can win free kicks and corner kicks. Gonzo and Goodson are going to be hard to take out together by CR. Hope Zusi has his crossing boots on. The wind is said to be nasty right now.
